How interesting that when you're thinking about tone, rhythm, pitch, cords that you can sing. Maybe your mind is too occupied to sabotage your speech maybe? What if you were thinking about ASL signing & signing as you speak? The signing, expression, rhythm of signing like strumming a guitar and thinking ahead to the next cord/sign.. What If you approached ASL like singing.. ? Hummn. I'm 68 and learning it out of necessity. Frankly I like it. " No more yelling as long as you can be seen." It's basically a different language and many make a living using ASL signing even thought they are not deaf or HOH.
