Just replaced one on my daughters 2016 Patriot. Drained the ECM of residual power. Followed some steps and she seems to be fine. Great video. Appreciate your insight on this issue.
Ok...lol...I'm getting ready to address my daughter's car. However, she's in Gainesville FL, hurricane approaching and I'm in Cincy Ohio. Hopefully I can address before Thanksgiving. Is your Patriot doing well? Last year we had to replace rear wheel bearing due to faulty speed sensor - vehicle came from New England - salt corrosion.
Simple! My jeep has a hose that was ripped off from the purge valve. Just found out where it connects under the manifold. I'll likely have to replace the hose? But it is throwing a throttle body code now. I was told it could also be an alternator issue? But this doesn't seem all that difficult to do on my own.
This may sound stupid but I'm in the middle of changing one right now and I can't figure out how to get the clip off of the throttle body sensor so I can take out the throttle body is there a trick to this I got big hands I can't hardly see what I'm doing
At 2:03 you mention a "christmas tree" is that the plastic fitting that attaches to the air hose you were removing? Also did you place it back on when you put the air hose back in or how was that handled?
hoi, I have a 2008 patriot 2.4 stuck in limp mode. I changed the throttle body and is still in limp mode .. where do i find the TPS? could this be another option? had a diagnostic which said throttle body so i'm a little confused. thanks
@@chrisatkins7022 ended up taking to my mechanic who did a service and changed the plugs as he thought that's why it was doing it. Missfiring .. sold it soon after just in case
Dig the simplicity, and knowledge of the video. 🤙

I saw a video where someone had to solder the connection to the throttle body. How can I avoid that?
Just replaced it… car still making same sound while trying to start… any tips?
Nice video thanks for sharing
Is the sensor built in on these models? I’m trying to find a replacement sensor for my throttle body and I CANNOT find it anywhere.
if you’re referring to the tps yes it’s built into the throttle body

If I'm understanding the red clip should just pull out and then push down on the tab and out to remove it. Hope it that helps.
