The moment that stood out the most for me was getting to see them live in the summer (2024) and getting tickets for their show in 2025.
Furthermore I am not half as impressed by their collabs as I am by their own material. Ratatata was the ultimate low. I hate that song.
And eventho I do like Bekhauf (I think it's their best collab to date), it still is nothing compared to their own repetoire. So I am more on the outlook for a new Babymetal original... far more...

One thing to bear in mind in that Metali is a babymetal song and Ratatata is 50/50 song, the rest belong to the other acts. These collabs were long advertised as an in between album phase as far back as The Other One release. Whilst you may not have liked Ratatata, it was still a major hit for them. It's their most successful new fan recruitment song ever, over twice as viewed as Gimmie Chocolate. If Babymetal are a gateway to metal, Ratatata is a gateway to Babymetal.

@Ryujin170 The thing with Ratatata is that it is too much techno imho. And I hate (dance-)techno as the worst music related thing in the world. Of course it's a hit, because the mainstream audience is more into DJ's than into bands. Especially here in Europe.
When I listen to a song like Monochrome it's so meaningful, so emotional, so deep. When I hear Ratatata it's all emptiness: just turn off your brain and dance. Generally people need drugs to endure techno.
Did you ever listen to the Vengaboys, from my country. It made me ashamed of my country. They had a huge hit back in the days, going "Boom boom boom I want you in my room". That's just what I hear when I hear Ratatata.
Besides, Babymetals own songs are mostly so great, they don't need a gateway. Before Ratatata was released most European shows were already sold out. They can do well on their own. They put Japan on the musical world map.
Now I wish for Maximum the Hormone to go and do a European tour. Or Melt Banana again. Of Razor's Edge. To name a few great Japanese bands I'd love to see.

@@herryhubert2706 Ratatata is still eccentric and niche music in comparison to standard techno. Gimmie Chocalate use to be their gateway song, not a masterpiece, but it was critical to drawing new fans in. Your Syncopations and Monochromes don't get made without your GCs and Ratatatas allowing them to. Su herself is an advocate for burning down anything that they beome famous for. It was on her insistance to 'kill off' the early kawaii sound. She would have quit if they hadn't. She's more like a punk than an idol. It was a massive risk to take, but they did it anyway. When it comes to Babymetal the only thing you can predict is they are going to do something different once the current thing they do starts to define them.

@Ryujin170 Well, let's agree to disagree on Ratatata. The rest of what you say I can totally agree with. Su being a punk is such a huge compliment, and I think you're right. I've been into various punkbands since 1979 and I think I know a punk when I see one 😀
I also often say that they're no longer 'kawaii'. They matured, and did well. No more Misses Nice Girl. Eventho I still love a lot of their old stuff too. Akatsuki is just beautiful.
I just can't wait for a new Babymetal original.
