    Hi Oleg. Every day I use 3D LUT Creator I am amazed at what you made possible. It is like you plugged me into the matrix of colour and tone. From the bottom of my heart, thank you thank you.

    This was gone through really fast and a bit difficult to follow but after a few attempts and rewinds of the video, I finally figured it out and successfully created my new Nikon D810 profile with the recommended settings. Awesome. Thank you

    Absolutely brilliant! It's a joy to see you approaching any task in color correction.
    In my version 2.1.1 of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC it is possible to load the empty LUT through
    - profiles
    - browse all profiles
    - hit the 3 dots . . .
    - import profiles
    - done
    It is wonderful to study your videos and learn every day.

    Under Calibration you can choose Camera Neutral to reduce modifications and have a flat image.

    gotta love the humor :-) "...HDR, that is the girl looks becomes dirty as if she was mining coal..."hehehe. Good piece of software you guys have, I really love working with your software and it opens up a whole new world of possibilities, is there by any chance a way that the whole process for developing luts as profiles (latest lightroom addition)? This is skipping the part of going into photoshop but directly from 3DLCreator to lightroom, maybe a video? Thanks

      Lr 7.3 LUT format is yet to be investigated, so if it's possible to save LUTs as profiles directly, I'll implement this function too.

    It works and it is excellent, but at the end of the process the raw image is loaded in 3D Lut creator with a strong color cast that is not present in any of the Adobe profile/preset. Am' I doing something wrong or it works like that and we are supposed to (re)do white balance ? Please note that this happen whatever the "reset white balance" box is checked or not checked in the "Save DCP Profile" dialog box (I tried both the cases) - Thanks

    Hi Oleg,
    I'm having trouble loading Lightroom profile into the 3D Lut Creator.
    The message says:
    Failed to read CUBE LUT from /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles.
    Any solutions?

    Oleg, this has change my entire workflow with ACR. Is there a way to replicate this in Capture One (It’s my go to editor). Or better still help me create my own linear curve since C1’s linear curve still have contrast curve embedded. Please please please respond. Thank you

    • @agorka
      @agorka  6 років тому

      Артём Олейник спасибо! Линейную кривую вроде бы можно, а вот что будет с hsl таблицами я не знаю

    • @АртёмОлейник-г3н
      @АртёмОлейник-г3н 6 років тому

      Спасибо за ответ, целый день тестирую линейную кривую из DNG profile creator)) Там профиль на выходе похож на тот который у тебя без HSV, серенький. Хотя цвет вроде сохраняется такой же как и в адоб профиле. Не знаю как проверить эти таблицы. В любом случае огромное спасибо за наводку! Пропал пережар в скинтоне и пастеризация в градиентах (всё что мы так любим в лайтрум )))). Немного заработаю деньжат и куплю твою прогу, для видео маст хэв просто!

      I added paths where to save DCPs to video description. Usually that is the reason.

      Oleg Sharonov we must save the Lightroom curves to a folder even if we don't own Lightroom or can we bypass that part?

    • @agorka
      @agorka  6 років тому +1

      Now curves are saved in XMP format that is read both by Lightroom and ACR. But in this case, if there's no change to neutrals, you can bypass curves.

    Can I do this for Capture One?

    • @agorka
      @agorka  6 років тому +1

      Wesley capture one has 'no color correction' profile and linear response curve available, so you don't need to create them.

    • @pedrowatte
      @pedrowatte 6 років тому

      Linear Response makes the same in Capture One

  • @cdmikelis
    @cdmikelis Рік тому

    That is why I hate Lr. It never represented my Pentax files correctly. Reds were always blewn out. Only until I made my own presets using DNG profiler, the problem was unfixable within Lightroom itself. In CaptureOne the images look OK directly. Also there is ability to select several curves for my camera or even linear response.
    Profiles in Lightroom (Adobe Standard, Portrait, etc) are only put on AFTER initial curve, just like it would be applied on baked JPEG. Your video is just another representation how OLD Lightroom really is under the hood. It was created in totally different times, where cameras were different and we were doing editing on CRT displays. Adobe just flocking same old donkey for the 2nd decade and milking money out of it - knowing they are locked users into the system and the system became world standard since they attracted enough (millions) of novice non-professional users, early enough, so they are now pushing the wagon further toward abyss.
    As you represented: Highlights and shadows also works AFTER the initial curve, so just further deteriorate image. So additional fiddling with curves needs to be done in order to fix image to some pleasing state. That shocked me one day when I edited images from daily family walk, just to be shown to kids before sleep. I realized HOW MANY sliders I have to push for each photo to just get some basic acceptable image to be shown on home TV. I was pissed how much time I spend for this. Same reason, as you represneted, lies behind fact that "auto" button in Lr NEVER (ever!) give any usable outcome. It only works for consumer JPEG images!! Than I decided to give CaptureOne a try. Images were OK for domestic viewing just without any manipulation and only I might need was exposure and WB adjustment. Done. I need to give your program another look, too.
    What I did in cases of your example photo was to export 3 instances of same photo in TIFF, than use HDR software to combine the. CRAZY, endeed. Later I realized it is better to just load raw file directly to HDR software and save the time using Lr.
    Later in video you created profiles (as I did using DNG profiler) and show how "total raw" profile looks - totally bland. Exactly as if image is pulled from raw using DCRAW and save as 16-bit TIFF. In fact, Lr leans on DCRAW for opening files. And Lightroom have WAY too little range to edit 16-bit raw image straight from camera. It was impossible to get any usable outsome using only Lr. Capture1 is somehow better. I actualy was able to edit 16-bit raw only with your software (tried it some years ago), with end results being pleasing.
