You are one of the best on UA-cam Hammerson. I think you will hit a million subs one day and I hope you do. I love the way you talk about Canada. Would love to drive up some day to see it!
Thank you for once again making content about OI.... this season will be the best so far.. they have great resolve and I expect that they will find out who were the original Depositors and find definitive evidence to prove treasure remains.
I would much rather watch this than the actual show. Always found Oak Island fascinating, got super board and over the show a long time ago. They just repeat the same things over and over again, it's beyond ridiculous. If they didn't repeat things the show would be like 7 minutes long I swear. My current theory on Oak Island is there probably was treasure there but it was moved, or found already. I think Samuel Ball found something. I can't quite remember now but I thought some old ladies had a treasure box said to be found by one of their family members there. I think that might have had treasure in it too.
For me, the real value and interest is in the archaeology. I do believe they have found a medieval ritual center for the Templars or Masons in the swamp and possibly the pit. These early structures were later repurposed by Dutch, French or Portuguese military, and possibly pirates, before the French built a much bigger Fort on the mainland. Finally, there is significant evidence of buried valuables which somebody was trying to protect with tunnels and flood traps, on a scale which had to involve State military and financial power. I'm sure the States of France, England and Spain/Portugal could shed historical light on activities there, but they have kept silent. If they dig up a treasure though, watch these States all suddenly claim it as theirs.
Like your synopsis better than watching the "Misery of Oak Island." Those Lagena Bros have seemingly aged 50 years since starting this project and are no closer to finding the real treasure than the hordes before them. (Yeah... been watching since Season 1).
Merci, les gravures des Templiers je ne connaissais pas. Pour moi ils ont laissés ces gravure pour que le secret ne soit pas définitivement perdu. Ça en dit long, mais il faudrais des bonnes images. En rapport avec OI à 100%.
It is a fascinating and seemingly bottomless topic. The modern explorers' efforts as recorded are unbearable to watch, lol. So these summaries are great
Thanks for doing this, this whole thing has gone on for entertainment reasons. And the narrator on Oak island makes me crazy. Much rather watch your break down. Thanks 👍
Discovery Networks, and History, are crooked as a stick. They'll tout and buff up any line to make waves. I don't know a damn thing about Oak Island but, my Dad was featured on History a couple times, and he got well and truly jerked around - even though it was a completely unpaid appearance.
I like in another episode? where he asked about the concentration amount of silver in the water in the shaft and he asked "are we talking about a handful or a dump truck full amount"? and he replied "oh a dump truck full".
@@HammersonPeters would it be possible to have a full publicly available playlist? I really enjoy these tracks and would like to listen to them on my own time
Are you freakin kidding me? People actually complain about the content you make? Bro, you could make an hour long video of your favorite recipes for poutine and butter tarts and I'd watch it. LMAO! Some folks really need to get a life.
Iirc, the carbon dates' wide ranges aren't necessarily an issue. Carbon dating isn't *that* precise, so the date could lie outside the main confidence interval for one or both of the samples. Especially when you're talking about a small difference, of like 50 or 100 years, it usually isn't precise enough on its own to get a super accurate date. So, it's entirely possible that both the dates they got could point toward the wood's real date being from, say, the late 1600s, early 1700s, or something like that. So both could have been from before the Money Pit was discovered.
It's probably not the Ark of the Covenant, but I have believed since the late-1990's that Oak Island is the resting place of an ancient tomb of someone prominent in world history.
Only thing I didn’t like was the tiny flashlight they strapped to the camera, and they didn’t show the entire tunnel. Why didn’t they lower the camera to the bottom? Why didn’t they use a much brighter LED flashlight? Why don’t they put a RC submarine down there with a better camera than 360p and see where it leads?
I can't believe this is still on TV and that people apparently still watch it. Hate to spoil it, but they'll never find anything. Even if they truly did find something, do you really think they'd broadcast it on television? The answer is no.
Agreed! Especially if Oak Island contains an ancient tomb deep underground and, if they determined who is buried there, they would NEVER make it public!
There’s so much lore mixed in with the actual truth I don’t know what if anything to believe about this whole thing. The stone they talk about with inscription that no one has actually seen and has vanished and on and on. They not gonna find anything
As for the 90-foot stone, keep in mind that Oak Island archival records state in several places that the stone was uncovered with the inscription "FACE DOWN" in the Money Pit--- said inscription not meant to be seen by anybody digging down into the pit. I believe that the initial translation of the symbols was a huge coincidence and was incorrect. I'm sure the "missing" stone is somewhere in North America in safekeeping and whoever has it is not going to just turn a PRICELESS sought-after artifact like that over to a sensation-oriented Reality TV show. Money talks! The inscription on the stone was meant to be seen/read by someone "below" the 90-foot level and not by someone digging down into the pit. Hence, just as what is found by archaeologists in ancient Egyptian tombs, the 90-foot stone apparently was a "capstone" for an ancient tomb that is buried/concealed beneath Oak Island and was placed there in ancient times via one or two now-submerged cave/niche entrances at the shoreline that were accessible when the sea level was much lower than it is today. Sorry so lengthy!
...still need you to acknowledge my work North of Vancouver Island, the discovery of the 14000 year old Indigenous Village. I understand that it changes your work and what you based off of, but it's best you acknowledge what is documented as it is directly involved with your facts...
Its a Load of Tosh …. The Pit they found was a Ships Mast repair Pit . Where they drop the Tree trunk in to .. To make a new Mask and fit its Iron Mast Collars… Its Hilarious that they haven’t even worked that out yet..
I bet if you put all this same effort into searching any random place you could find similar anomalies and “tunnels” etc. As a metal detectorist myself it’s hilarious watching them speculate over these random pieces of crap they did up. You can find unidentifiable junk literally everywhere on the planet. There are few “empty” areas of ground that haven’t been polluted over the centuries. Who knows what that junk is. We just leave em at the base of trees lol
I’m sorry but after how many seasons of this show now that you say you want to get to the bottom of this and you mean it I don’t actually believe it lol
I think Grechen is behind the times because the Templars were excommunicated at the time she mentions and would have been outlawed by the king Edward the Longshanks at that time and would have been given up had they been caught in England at that timeframe but there is another explanation for the Templars being on oak island and where they set off from on their journey to the new world????
Watching the series is like watching CNN, slightly entertaining, but ultimately, they could tell everything in 3 minutes....the rest is just a bunch of crap and speculation.
Your Oak Island videos are the reason I subscribe. Please keep up the great content and work. Thank you!
I’ll do my best.
The oak Island mystery is what brought me to your channel some years ago
Yes.✌
Absolutely love curling up and watching your videos! Great way to spend my evenings
Thanks for watching!
This mystery sandwich is turning into a 'Dugwood' sammich! I particularly like Oak Island chronicles! LIKE
I appreciate your reviews on the subject I’ve been interested in Oak island since before the show.
Hell yeah, this is the good stuff, narrowed down and held out.
Thanks! I still think whatever was down there was last found by Samuel Ball.
I used to get teased for having two first names, but the fact that you have two last names is much cooler.
you take great care and effort in your videos sir. You are a treasure Mr. Hammerson Peters
Thanks for the kind words.,
Yay. So glad these are back!
Thank you for doing these again!
Superb recap. Thank you Hammerson. We found it to be thoroughly enjoyable.
All the best.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.

Exactly! This is the perfect length.
I hear you.
HP is lookin’ out for us long-timers. He should do this for all the treasure hunts on “History”.
The show propper is like a 3rd grader writting a 12pg report on something trivial. Got to sell that sweet commercial air time.
Almost my exact complaint about the Ancient Allen's show. I think it's just the formula but it is boring.
I like these Oak Island videos! You always point out things I missed or didn't put together.
Thank you, it is very interesting ☺️
Enjoyed your narrative VERY MUCH. Hope to hear your next one.
Good Job.
Enjoyed video. Have been watching since beginning.
Thanks so much for your work on "The Curse Of Oak Island."

I've been watching the curse of oak island since it started. I've lost all hope there's any treasure.
There's been plenty, just not spenables. Except thus far in commercial time and subscriptions.
There's marketing involved, I'm positive. ✌
It is a fascinating and seemingly bottomless topic. The modern explorers' efforts as recorded are unbearable to watch, lol. So these summaries are great
Live oaks ate hardy to zone 7 , Oak island is a very weird 6. Tulsa, okl. Is zone 6
I don't watch the show but I believe the money pit is the investors

It’s the current season.

I make about half myself, and get the rest from Pond5.

Haha they did.
👍

Whatever is buried there, wasn’t meant to ever see the light of day again. The Ark of the Covenant should be left alone or the world will pay.
