  • Keeping hisoptions open, Roy Lupton's after a roebuck by day and foxes by night - but as it works out it's the fox that presents the first shot. We then have a fantastic stalk onto a roebuck which has been giving us the runaround. Roy's farm protection service is in overdrive, with an all-in-one package of vermin control and deer management. It's OutFoxing.

    Why shoot foxes?
    The British red fox is widespread across the whole of mainland Britain and Ireland. The best estimate of the current British fox population is 240,000 adults in spring, to which a production of 425,000 cubs is added annually. The fox has no natural predator and for the population to remain stable, 425,000 foxes must therefore die each year.
    Fox numbers need to be managed and controlled to prevent the predation of lambs, piglets reared outdoors, free range and domestic poultry. Foxes can also have a significant impact on vulnerable species of ground nesting birds such as black grouse, partridge, lapwing and curlew (Bealey, Green, Robson, Taylor & Winspear, 1999).
    In order to protect such species while they are breeding, conservators and gamekeepers aim to control fox numbers, particularly from late winter to early summer. Foxes are also controlled around pheasant and partridge rearing and release pens in late summer and autumn. Overall, the direct cost to UK agriculture from fox predation has been estimated at £12 million annually (UK Government figures)

    Foxes are by far my favorite animal but that does not mean that they should be spared from being controlled. They are a danger to many of the areas in which they preside and if they do not go controlled then they can cause havoc to said wildlife residing in the area. This is they way they should be taken care of, painless and quick. Much respect from the U.S. for the marksman, great video

    At 4:16 he is calling the buck but he is just running away. He trys to stop him with a call. But the buck has seen the hunter and he will unit him with the call. In future he might not respond to the call. In Austria you would say he is "verblattet".

    Don't you know how sweet and kind hearted so many foxes can be. That nonsense about their having no feelings is nothing but a bunch of lies. Many people keep them as pets and they are loving loyal pets. They are here to be loved, respected and cared for not to be caught in cruel traps and shot to death. Little hunter where is your compassion? Did you leave it at home with your character and integrity?

      @Rsta 001 i'm not anti-hunter, but still think, that killing of pregnant females, mothers and pups is barbarity. I think, if there is demand for fur, foxes can be hunted in winter for this. If there is no demand, fox hunting should be banned, with making exception only to cull individuals who kill chickens and lambs.

    He shoots a vixen with cubs which although I understand the situation is pest control is extremely cruel and distasteful. He then shoots a Roe in extremely low light conditions at sunset and OOPS he's left his dog at home so risks leaving an injured animal to die a miserable death then limps off for a fucking kebab. This show is ridiculous but I guess it's fine cos they have posh accents.

    Another answer to killing foxes with a rifle: Invest in a Maremna Shepherd Dog or two, they will chase away foxes, wolves, mtn. Lions, etc. If a fight ensues, the Maremna Shepherd will tear up the fox easily and be back on post within minutes.

    • @muzzgit
      @muzzgit 6 років тому +4

      Leonardo Summers when you do introduce yourself to him why don't you ask him to show you what foxes do to baby sheep (lambs) and baby cows (calves).
      Foxes wait until the mother is giving birth, then they attack the baby animal and tear at its lips - mouth - tongue, all the soft facial tissue, then they run off after their next victim and leave the baby animal to starve to death because it can't feed off it's mother. The only merciful thing might be if the farmer finds the animal early enough to put it out of it's misery. This is why farmers HATE foxes.
      Foxes are the terrorists of nature. Fuck 'em all, kill 'em all ..!
