I like the fact that Eugene is NOT committing to the capitalist propaganda that is "unrealistic expectations of romantic love" for Valentine's Day. This is the day that more couples END THEIR RELATIONSHIPS on than any other in the year. There are too many different types of love, for so many people (and animals) in your life, to cram it all into one day for a corporate cash grab on chocolate and jewelry.

It's funny that everyone (including my boyfriend) is talking about Eugene not making his boyfriend a present, but as a girl who crochets/knits if you insist on a handmade present, that's REALLY limiting the types of gifts available. Like yeah, I made my boyfriend a wolf amigurumi for Valentines Day, but he's more of a gamer/techie kinda guy so he's not going to get as much use/enjoyment of it as say, a Steam game he had on his wishlist.
