Well, it's still old but it's newer than the one in the box. It's rated at 25A but the windings are smaller than my 20A which says a lot. That one has the brushes on the outside so better contact even though I've never had any dramas with the 20A one in the box.
Firefox 3.6 was never broke, so why change it out! Cats are sure sturdy animals long as you feed them well. i like that Shop, would only ask for more room, but you deal with what you have. Photon after watching your videos I went inside my microwave after the push button panel died and added in some 120 Volt toggle switches to do the duty of the previous electronics board. Quite satisfying flipping a switch to heat something up rather than fighting a push panel. Even got the convection working

I'd say give sopny vegas a try, although after effects is better for green screen and motion tracking, veas is easier for transitions and general editing. That capacitor smoke cooled down pretty quickly too, nice effect.

On iOS devices the 'Flag as Inappropriate' option doesn't give any sub reasons or confirmation, it's easy to press by accident, I've done it myself a few times on other videos.

Awesome vid Photon, and that variac is a monster. I respect the geek group for having a go at getting people interested but most of their videos are just plain boring (like opening mail!). Also doing things like this from a plug socket is much more impressive and fun :)
