The way you were READY to show your book 🤣🙏🏼 Seriously thank you for all you’ve said. I found you perfectly. I’ve been struggling with my strong willed toddlers 🤡
What about toddlers who take great pleasure in doing the wrong thing, so I have always tried to have a gentle approach. Explanations and instructions, tried redirecting. She laughs and does what you don’t want, at lightening speed no matter what I’ve tried... 😭 obviously the yelling no’s aren’t working, this came after the gentle approach as I was so fed up. I’m doing this all on my own. My mum keeps sending me Super Nanny videos as my toddler can be so “unruly”, she is nearly 2 1/2 and getting worse every day. I do my best to role model the behaviour I want and speak nicely , she is amazing with manners but not with listening, I get she is young but I just don’t know at what point I should be concerned or if there is another approach that may work.
Wow, thank you for all of these examples, it's truly helpful to us parents who are trying our best but losing it. I'm going to try to practice these tips for my almost 3 year old.
I love your personality and videos. Been bingewatching to help me with my kiddos. Thanks so much! Edit after watching the whole video: Thank you for sharing your personal experience! You are incredible!
I absolutely love you and your personality! First time mom here with a 16 month old and your vids are blessing me and so encouraging ❤️ 💖 and WOW what a testimony. You are truly impacting the world with the gift of you ❤️
Thank you for sharing some of your own story too. it’s really incredible to hear that you’re out there helping people with parenting in such an insightful and accessible way even though you’ve been through so much yourself!! ❤❤❤
The Mom Psychologist Actually there is! I’m currently pregnant and have noticed my three year old being more defiant. He fights doing his morning routine and refuses to use the restroom throughout the day. How can I address these issues and help him through it?
This video really put things in perspective- thank you!! The info in your videos & on IG is SO valuable. It is much appreciated! Congratulations on your book- you should be so proud of yourself! 💗
Thanks for sharing your story. I had a similar situation as a child and reading was a good way to escape the reality. I was wondering if you can make a video on how a mom, who just left an abusive relationship and tries to heal, can find a connection with a 3 yo who continues an emotional Rollercoaster in the house. Medication and therapy doesn't help much, because it is an everyday issue. 😪
I need to grab your book! Your hitting all the topics 👌🏽 your story! And look at you now ❤️ glad to see you turn it around for not only your good but your community. 🥰
Thank you for this! I’ve been trying reeeally hard to give the instructions instead of just yelling no...and he still ignores me! What can I do to interrupt his attention so that he focuses on me?
My daughter is SASS incarnate! I’ll be reading that book… I feel like I’m very clear and concise about what we ask of her and her brother (5 and 2) and it’s in one ear and out the other! Worse with her (5) than him! She very possibly has ADHD, how can I cope with her assuming ADHD is a variable?
Yeah idk. I’ve repeated this about 500 times a day for.. years 😆. Since the kids could walk and talk. My 3 year old just keeps going. Only responds when I’ve finally snapped. I’ve tried it all it feels. Clear instructions. Taking a moment to respond so I’m not reacting. I’ve tried redirecting. Idk. 😏
Ahh appreciate the feedback. There's definitely so much to discipline that's hard to cover in a short video. Have you had a chance to check out my discipline book? www.themompsychologist.com/discipline
Would you describe what made you upset? For example: “I’m sorry my love for yelling at you, you got really scared. Mommy shouldn’t have yelled when you threw the phone on the floor”

Start with establishing eye contact and getting down on his level. Hope that helps!
This is really good for younger children, do you have content that's aimed at children that are more in the 7-8 year sphere?
Thank you! You are amazing!
Ahhh, thank you, Michelle!
Please make a video on mealtimes. Have a young toddler who throws.
Ok, I got ya mama!! ❤
Ooh! Yes! And picky eating! My 2 year old won’t eat anything unless it’s something he knows, absolutely won’t try anything!
I appreciate you!
Aw, and I appreciate YOU mama. Big hugs🤎🤎
