Fake fake fake fake fake, thats a marketing strategy from the record label to empower Rosalia, she's all over the place now and the album is not even mid...
I still think renaissance by Beyoncé takes the cake this year, that album was like nothing I heard before, it still has me on chokehold. This album is pretty good too
In “Bulerías” basically she is responding to the haters who said that she sold herself to reggaeton and “commercial music” instead of singing like in her begging: *flamenco* (traditional Spanish music) Rosalia mixed that type of music with electronic/ trap/ pop elements in her previous album “El Mal Querer”(2018)
G3 N15 stands for the name of her nephew Genís, whom she hasn't seen for two years due to the pandemic (which started in March 15th) and her career. The song is about telling him about the world she lives in now and wondering how much he has changed since the last time she saw him. The person talking at the end is her grandmother speaking in Catalan, a Spanish language from Cataluña. It's a beautiful song
Saoko is Puerto Rican inspired, La fama is bachata which originates from Domincan Republic. That shake in her voice you were in awe with, is Flemenco, Buleria which is her specialty from her Native Spain. Many many cultural, Latino beats are all mixed in this wild album. I enjoyed watching you both react beautifully to what makes us Latino/Hispanic ❤I felt like you really felt and understood it
just saoko has some reggeaton loop and one references, and la fama just some bachata just a vibe because you can see its not traditional, so the album have not latin vibes at all to me.
In fact, it's very curious and shocking in Spain because she's from the north. Rumba is typical in Catalonia, flamenco comes from Andalusia (the south). But she always was interested in Flamenco, she was training so hard for getting an excellent technic.
My fave one is the Cover from the Cuban Son song "Delirio de Grandeza" by Justo Betancourt from 1968. At the end she sampled a Soulja Boy verse from Delirious. She mixed the old with the new. To make a contrast. The same contrast you can appreciate in all the album
The “G” of the song “Como un G” stands for “Gangster”. She says “jurado como un G” meaning she won’t break the promise, same as what gangsters do. Hope this helps. Such a great album from Rosalia! ♥️

With the incorporation of many modern and old backgrounds, she creates a different mixture of flamenco. Bulerías, is a way for her to express that she never had to do anything that she was not in the will to do in other to get to the top or just to get where she is at nowadays. Motomami, was not only about this change in her musical background, but to play with whatever she felt like adding to the album. There is Flamenco, Reggae, Salsa, Jazz, Alternative Reggae and more. Lots of Latino background in general, she included all of these genres and put them together to make them work along. Bizcochito is inspired directly from the Caribbeans. The album is incredible and unique in its own.
La Combi Versace, is all about luxury life. Tokischa is a Dominican artist that she teamed up with on Rosalia’s trip to the Dominican Republic. This was practically my favourite reaction to MOTOMAMI, after watching All too well reaction (really on point) I knew I should also check your reaction to my Rosalia's album. The album is really experimental so there are obviously songs which really are not mainstream and I've loved so much how you decomposed each one trying to figure it out without any misconceptions and not just for the sake or reacting. I'll add a few info for better appreciation of the songs. You'll find lots of traditional Spanish and Latin genres. For example, La fama with the weekend is a Bachata song (music from Dominica Republic), Delirios de Grandeza is Salsa (Justo Betancourt's cover, I think, Cuban and Puerto Rican influence), Bulerías is a Flamenco song (genre from Spain, the term Bulerías is a type of Flamenco). In fact many of the lyrics have words that only Cubans or Puerto Ricans say, for example, that in Spain (from where she's) don't exist. That is also what she tries to tell us, she's in New York, in L.A., etc... She's met lots of new people, other cultures... which influences her (like Japanese culture, or wearing a Versace). Other question you asked was what's " a G" in "Como un G" song. If I'm not wrong, a G is for Gangster. She says something like "I swear it like a G", like the Mafia loyalty to the Boss o el Cappo. She talks about love as an oath for life. It also talks about not owing anything, it's similar to the concept for debt and money which in the end was the reason for joing a Gang. For Hentai, she wanted to do like a Disney song with explicit lyrics. She says (I think in an interview) that she's a funny person and she didn't understand why she left behind that part of her personality over the years so she wanted to be funny in this album, and being ironic and sarcastic. That's why Hentai is the most beautiful melody with the most explicit lyrics. Just to torture us T.T. Btw, her "opera" voice you can truly appreciate it in a UA-cam video "me quedo contigo" from the Goya Awards (similar to the Oscars). You'll be speechless.
I have to stop in the middle of your hearing of "Bulerias" just to say that I'd love to see the whole reaction of you both to this song. Your faces when she starts doing stuff with her voice is speechless. As a Spanish person, I feel proud that you experience those feelings when you listen to something so typical and traditional from my country as it is the bulerias and flamenco in general. It is true that Rosalia makes flamenco in a very personal way, powerful but intimate at the same time. I just feel thankful that you can enjoy with this song as much as you express in the video 👏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻✨
that crazy vibrato you were hearing in her voice is cause she’s a classically trained flamenco singer and she has very fine vocal control. the type of music it sounds like is flamenco :)
La combi versace and G3N15 are topppp and candy is so good too!!! I’m really happy that Rosalia did this album, a lot of people criticized it but I really think it’s a work of art. She has a beautiful voice whenever she sings flamenco, and she’s so creative, she’s an incredible artist overall. Edit: I used to be really confused about abcdefg but it’s kinda growing on me lol.
It makes me so happy that you guys reacted to a Spanish album. It felt so nice seeing you guys reacted the same way I did, to her music even though it is in a different language you guys connected with it in a deeper way manner regardless. I would love for you guys to react to Selena Quintanilla. There is so much I can say about her and her music. She is one of the biggest Latin names known worldwide. Her story is so tragic yet so beautiful. I would love for you to react to her last performances in the Astrodome in Houston Texas.
@@I_be_Juliet707 I am actually Spanish. A person from the Iberian peninsula is hispanic, not latin. It comes from the old name Spain used to have, Hispana. People from Latin America are called latinos. Are you American? Cause I think you are the one who is lost 🤣
Some songs are meant to be funny: chicken teriyaki, hentai -a balad with explicit lyrics-, bizcochito as a response to her haters but with a childish tone, as if she was making fun of them... In this album she said she wanted to let her sense of humor be part of her music, cause in her previous album she was much more academical and serious. In Motomami Rosalia wants to represent herself in every way, thats why she says this album feels like a self portrait of how she has been feeling in the past 3/4 years (since she started to become famous)
I love that you guys searched the lyrics and were open minded listening the album. I saw a lot of people talking shit about it just because it wasn't a regular pop reggaeton album. It's definitely a experimental album and I'm soooo happy she decided to do it. It's so refreshing to see something different, especially these days where artists seem to have sold their souls to go viral on tiktok.
This album is simple and fun. Her first Los Angeles is traditional, El Mal Querer is a fusion and this one is just nuts, I see it as her having fun after breaking her back having to prove her metal to the masses. Like stress relieve!
the bizcochito song it's like saying "don't call me baby, I'm not your baby" cuz in the original Saoko song he says "Quién tu eres? ( Who are you?)" and the girl answers "tu bizcochito ( your bizcochito)" The way she took that and made it her own is just geniussssss🤩
Thank you guys for reacting to Motomami. I really appreciate that you guys covered on a Pop Latino album. It is important for everyone to grasp from other cultures that way we can all learn from one another. Language(s) is something beautiful and universal. This was one of the most experimental records we have gotten in a long time, especially from a female artist. Also, the music form and/or genre you were trying to refer to is called Flamenco. Rosalía spent more than a decade training in flamenco and incorporates it throughout her music.
im really impressed by how even without the spanish latinamerican ground you totally figure out basically every single rosalia`s intentions, ive seen many interviews so far of her, and you totally got it. im in. :)
Immediately watching the video, in the beginning, I could tell you guys have done prior research and I love that. Y’all just don’t play the album and react, you give it meaning. Immediately subscribed.
I LOVED how you analysed the entire album, focusing on every single detail and putting the pieces together. This is by far the best reaction video i’ve ever seen! P.s: “Delirio de grandeza” is a cover, it was originally performed by singer Justo Betancourt, and she added a sample of “Delirious” by Soulja Boy.
I never listend too any kind of spanish music. I fell over the Saoko on an Intependent Radio in Austria. And then i started listening too all her Songs and ... i am addicted . Its soo Different and Beautiful and i cant get enough! Best Album i heard in years ^^ and now thx too ROSALIA i am Learning Spanish xD
I don’t know if anyone already explained it, but “naki pa’ti, chicken teriyaki” it means “nothing for you, (just) chicken teriyaki”. Rosalia said it was like “you’re not that important, so there is just chicken for you, you don't deserve anything more than that (remember shes talking about expensive chains and stuff)
This was the best reaction i've seen in a long time, nice timing, great cuts and even with the language and cultural barrier... great notations and empathic. I always hated repetitive songs, and this album is quite the opposite. Pleasing for the ears. Just nice, thank you. 💙
great reaction! you guys really most got the message rosalia was trying to say her first album "los angeles" was about death, her second album "el may querer" is about abuse. Now motomami is all about herself and her experiences as an artist. She's experimenting with musical genres such as flamenco, samba, reggae ton, ballad and etc but not losing the spanish culture and genre in her music. You guys should watch jaime altozano's youtube interview with rosalia where she explained in depth what her album means 🤎
@@auraglow0339 yes but she is hispanic means Spanish speaking person such as Rosalia. When you refer to someone exclusively from Spain the word is "Spaniard"
absolutely everything in this video was perfect, but especially your friendliness, the beautiful connection between you, the respect and interest in Spanish culture, in addition to the incredible observations about each song! keep up this wonderful work! ❤️
"Diablo" im pretty sure is about her "fans" who would idolatrice her couple of years ago when she sang that well seen style, but then when she tried to sing something different, something that is frown upon but that she really like, those so called fans who used to say she shined like a diamon started to treat her pretty poorly. (Someone even called her the devil on tv). So she is saying that she didn't changed. Similar to "Bulerias" she is telling them that she is not less for also singing this type of songs
Oooo yea u guys MUST react to some of the music videos for this album too, theyre all so interesting and fire…Saoko and Chicken Teriyaki music videos reactions please 🔥🔥🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

She said the meaning of the songs in an interview on UA-cam and that this album is like a collage of the music she likes. You guys told very interesting and close meanings. I liked what you said about Diablo. This song is (also) about how people talk about her like "she changed for the fame, her music is different now, she's the devil". In fact, a lady called her "El Diablo" in an interview lol. You should listen to "El Mal Querer" her second album, I'm pretty sure you're gonna love it!!
Delirio de Grandeza, is inspired from Merengue/Salsa close to their, really Caribbean. She is talking about someone, could be herself, described as somebody that does not care about her own feelings or someone’s feelings. She is wishing for this person to come back by the pass of the time looking for her love again. This person is also mentioned to be heartless.
nice reaction video! it makes me happy when people talk about this album and your interpretations were very accurate i noticed you got kinda confused by the lyrics of delirios de grandeza, that song is actually a cover of a sixties song so that might be why
Thank you for reacting to this album!! As always great reaction, the way you guys do your research and pay attention to every detail really is a game-changer 🖤
I always aprecciate how you try to figure out the meaning and the message the artist is trying to express but here as Rosalía said she just wanted to have fun with MOTOMAMI and she wanted to make a dance album so there are tracks like Chiken Teriyaki, CUuuute, MOTOMAMI, La combi versace that doesnt have a deep and complex meaning behind so its better to enjoy those kind of tracks without much thinking cause thats exactly what Rosalía wanted and Delirio de grandeza its actually a cover mashed up with other song (that rap thing that is almost at the end) but El mal querer is really the complete opossite of this album, if you want lyrics masterpiece and stories thats your album btw sorry for my broken english :)
I’m so happy to see that y’all are reacting to this!! I’ve been listening to it non-stop since it came out! ~As I listen I’m typing so, Bulerias is a flamenco song. She trained under a flamenco master. ~Chicken teriyaki was a funny song. She tells the person you can’t get nun, but chicken teriyaki. It’s in the same light of how we have the saying, “you wanna cookie?”
Guys... You're so good in findinf meanings and react to music... Thank you so much for this. I really enjoyed your reaction to this Masterpiece of an álbum!
You should definitely react to her TikTok live performance. It's amazing! She just brings her vision into life, visually it's awesome! But you have to watch it in your cellphone. It was meant to be seen like that. You won't regret it!
Loved you guys' analysis of Rosalía's lyrics and the overarching themes of the album, this is such a cool reaction. Your appreciation for her creativity and the experimental nature of the album is so enjoyable to watch :)
Maybe It is late to say this, but the song "Delirio de grandeza" it's a cover of an old song from Cuba, she added that sample of another song and made the instrumentals go faster
I'd say the cover is inspired by Boticcelli's painting The birth of Venus. Bulería is a classic flamenco "palo". Flamenco is traditional music coming from Spain that has centuries of tradition. It is said to be from middle age and Jewish, Muslims and gipsy people from Spain have contributed to it's evolution
Yall have to watch the videos for these. Oh and her visual album El Mal Querer... Diablo is about the opinion certain people have of her " changing" because of the fame, but she maintains that she has but evolved not changed.
Hey :) in the song Bulerías the genre of music she is singing (the shaking in her voice) is called bulería and thats why the song it's called Bulerías. It's a style of Flamenco with live rhythm (made by clapping) accompanying the voice. In the song Bizcochito it's like saying I'm not and will never be your babe kinda thing "ya no soy ni voy a ser tu bizcochito". And in G3 N15 her gandma speaks catalan which is Rosalía's and also my first language too because she is from Sant Cugat del Vallès in Catalonia :)))) It's a beautiful language that is getting lost by the increased use of spanish in Catalonia. Also last time editing lol, she had a relationship with a spanish singer called C.Tangana and a lot of people speculate that a lot of her songs are about him (a lot of his songs may be about her too). But Idk becuase she is now with the singer Rauw Alenjandro (who she wrote Hentai about).
I think time is needed to process this one and the meanings especially since It's not in English. But I can listen to this just solely the beauty and sound really 😂😂 Production wise this is next level.
Bulerías is flamenco that’s why it sounded familiar and it’s beautiful y’all should check out her first album Los Angeles that whole album makes me cry
bizcochito is from a daddy yankee song where the man asks "baby quien tu eres?" (baby, who are you) and the woman responds "tu bizcochito!" (your little biscuit). So she wanted to make clear to a man she is nobody's biscuit anymore by sayin "ya no soy, ni voy a ser tu bizcochito" (I am not, and won't be your little biscuit anymore)
I find it funny that they have to search the lyrics to understand what she is saying because as a native spanish speaker I can tell you that we have to do the same
True! 😂😂😂😂 She explains herself in the interview with youtuber Jaime Altozano. This interview is in spanish, with english subtitles. She says that her aim is making music, effects and experiments wiht her voice, because it is the "instrument" she knows better. She has no ame on perfect diction or pronuntiation like other singers. And if someone has curiosity on the meaning of the lyrics, he can find them on the Internet.

Nice point of view I'm with u 🏍️🛵🏍️
Delirio de Grandeza is actually a "bolero" and it comes from Cuba
(perdona no soy hispanohablante nativo ;-; )
Rosalía is Hispanic, not Latin
i love her sm but she’s not latina
She spends three years making this album, she’s a genius to me.
( Who are you?)" and the girl answers "tu bizcochito ( your bizcochito)"
The way she took that and made it her own is just geniussssss🤩
Rosalia: "Te quiero ride"
Ellos: Un momento de que esta hablando 🤨🤨
Thank you guys for reacting to Motomami. I really appreciate that you guys covered on a Pop Latino album. It is important for everyone to grasp from other cultures that way we can all learn from one another. Language(s) is something beautiful and universal. This was one of the most experimental records we have gotten in a long time, especially from a female artist. Also, the music form and/or genre you were trying to refer to is called Flamenco. Rosalía spent more than a decade training in flamenco and incorporates it throughout her music.
thats not pop lol
im really impressed by how even without the spanish latinamerican ground you totally figure out basically every single rosalia`s intentions, ive seen many interviews so far of her, and you totally got it. im in.
Como un g =like a g
She’s moving on taking the heartache like a gangster
She’s tough that’s why it ends with all that passion
🏆 ÁLBUM OF THE YEAR
Latin Grammys 2022 👏🏻
Just watched this and y'all were definetly raised right. The emotional intelligence is of the charts.
It’s also the second best rated album on Metacritic music history! With a 95, the first one has 96 lol
The production behind this album is FLAWLESS. Please react to "Sin Miedo: del amor y otros demonios" by Kali Uchis. Another hispanic masterpiece.
YES! But she's a Latina, because Kali's from Columbia.
The visuals 4 the singles R fire! 🔥
🥱
This person is also mentioned to be heartless.
nice reaction video! it makes me happy when people talk about this album and your interpretations were very accurate
i noticed you got kinda confused by the lyrics of delirios de grandeza, that song is actually a cover of a sixties song so that might be why
Thank you for reacting to this album!! As always great reaction, the way you guys do your research and pay attention to every detail really is a game-changer 🖤
YALL NEED TO REACT TO HER ALBUM CALLED “El Mal Querer” its a flamenco album and it’s sooo good
I always aprecciate how you try to figure out the meaning and the message the artist is trying to express but here as Rosalía said she just wanted to have fun with MOTOMAMI and she wanted to make a dance album so there are tracks like Chiken Teriyaki, CUuuute, MOTOMAMI, La combi versace that doesnt have a deep and complex meaning behind so its better to enjoy those kind of tracks without much thinking cause thats exactly what Rosalía wanted and Delirio de grandeza its actually a cover mashed up with other song (that rap thing that is almost at the end) but El mal querer is really the complete opossite of this album, if you want lyrics masterpiece and stories thats your album btw sorry for my broken english :)
Muchas gracias!
Duality is such a huge topic in this album! I love that y’all enjoyed it as much as I did
If you liked this album, you're going to love El Mal Querer. Imo it's her best so far
motomami is better tho
Motomami is better
In the track "Bulerias" she is singing "Flamenco".. Typical from Spain 😊👍... Wonderful your video reaction! 💪💪
Guys... You're so good in findinf meanings and react to music... Thank you so much for this. I really enjoyed your reaction to this Masterpiece of an álbum!
finallyy omg i love this album i'm so glad u liked it too!!! You should check her older projects too they sound amazing!!!
You should definitely react to her TikTok live performance. It's amazing! She just brings her vision into life, visually it's awesome! But you have to watch it in your cellphone. It was meant to be seen like that. You won't regret it!
you guys understood the album better than Spanish speakers
Sakura is a GEM lyrically "I don't fear the laugh of a crazy man, I fear those who lie or barely laugh"
But Idk becuase she is now with the singer Rauw Alenjandro (who she wrote Hentai about).
i love when his hearing the jazz part of saoko, he instant says JAZZ!?? love it
great reaction guys. This album was deep and fun. I want to see her in concert soon hopefully
FLAMENCO! Bulerias is Flamenco ✨✨✨🫶✨✨✨
Yall should react to the live tik tok she did when she perfomed a short version of tje album.. like 20 o 30 min.. its really amazing..
I think time is needed to process this one and the meanings especially since It's not in English. But I can listen to this just solely the beauty and sound really 😂😂 Production wise this is next level.
I love you guys try your best to get the meaning of Rosalia's letters, good work trying to get Spanish songs, new follower here! 🙌✨🇨🇱
Bulerías is flamenco that’s why it sounded familiar and it’s beautiful y’all should check out her first album Los Angeles that whole album makes me cry
Sakura is my favorite song ! I makes me think of flamenco classics from Sevilla and I loved that 😍
AMAZING VIDEO! Loved the analysis!
guys !!! amazing reaction!!!! thaxsss !!!!
I saw Born This Way and Anti I already knew you guys have some expensove taste in music
bizcochito is from a daddy yankee song where the man asks "baby quien tu eres?" (baby, who are you) and the woman responds "tu bizcochito!" (your little biscuit). So she wanted to make clear to a man she is nobody's biscuit anymore by sayin "ya no soy, ni voy a ser tu bizcochito" (I am not, and won't be your little biscuit anymore)
Y'all should react to more Tokischa, she's WILD. She usually does dembow music, and she has another song with Rosalía called "Linda"
Y’all need to react to her other album “El mar querer” like asap. So good.
THIS VIDEO MAKES ME SO HAPPY!
They completely got it, I mean, "owning oneself" is basically la Rosalía saying "soy muy mía" (I'm very my own)
La fama is bachata a traditional music from Dominican Republic :)
What an album, I loved it and great reaction guys 🔥 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Hii! Im spanish and when on bulerias she does that “voice” its called vibrato and its something flamenco singers use
Amo su reacción! Motomami es el disco del año!❤
Her voice is so so good and special! Perfect pitch, one of a kind 💖
I keep coming back to this reaction ❤
You guys are cool! Kept me hooked with your reaction. Rosalia is the queen of creativity ❤
Amazing álbum
Bulerías is a subgenre of Flamenco an ancient folk music originated by the gypsies of Andalucía in south Spain
Loveee this reaction!!
I find it funny that they have to search the lyrics to understand what she is saying because as a native spanish speaker I can tell you that we have to do the same
True! 😂😂😂😂
She explains herself in the interview with youtuber Jaime Altozano.
Good reaction 🔥❤️ I love your effort to understand the whole context of each song.
