Honestly other than maybe a few games in certain vendors I much prefer playasia due to shipping cost and I get better deal through the points I accumulate. The rest mainly LRG along with Super Rare could just go take a leap. Anyway line up for playasia looks nice. 🐟

After years of ordering from Super Rare, I finally had a customer support issue and had to speak with someone. That interaction was like dealing with a scammy eBay seller. Changed how I look at them based on their desperation. It was like their VP helping me out too which is even sadder.

EPIC LRG and super rare rant Jordan! I learned my lesson on LRG after waiting at least a year for anything I order from them. River City Girls zero was my last order and it just shipped so my hands are officially cleansed of them! I just have several PlayAsia preorders incoming this month and yes I used your link and code!
I pre-ordered Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 from Limited Run in May 2022. They opened pre-orders for it again in July/August, I believe. Shipping date is still "TBD" and that's for the standard edition. My assumption is they didn't get as many sales as they liked even after two open pre-order windows so now they're dragging their feet. That's what I get for wanting the ESRB copy instead of an import. In hindsight, I should have dropped them after that sale they did at the beginning of the year. Making some items available a few minutes early so anyone refreshing the webpage at the scheduled time missed out. Turned out to be a good thing that I missed out on River City Girls in January because PA now has the new two-in-one cartridge version for less.
The wait time is standard practice for lrg. Most of my orders from them take around 9 months and the longest has been just under a year and a half. Only once have I received something in less than 6 months.
Front Mission 1st is confirmed for a JP physical release which should come out in March. The JP digital version has English so the physical should as well.
Thank you for speaking out on Super Rares's FOMO-based business model. I'll take an open preorder from Limited Run over SuRG's arbitrarily limited with no chance of a reprint + their deathgrip on publishing rights even outside their own region. And yeah, I noticed the price hike on their mystery box. Scalping their own games for higher prices ... and you can't even pick the one you want lol
wel lrg is doing that deathgrip as well by making it so certain games arent released out of asia or can be even imported out of asia sol cresta cant be imported from play asia all thanks to lrg. so they arent better in that regard

The games here are kept back out of the totals for cancelled orders, problems and competitions, should be sold current retail though ill admit. Stranglehold? Many of their games have been available for the take up for quite some time before they seal the deal, so can only think the devs agree its a fair deal, when their announced,their available the next week, not pay now, get some random shite in a year. And their not limited to the region, anyone can buy them, and all (as far as i know) are not region locked, so what are you on about? Mmmm 🤔

Crazy me….. with your initial attack on Strictly Limited (and non-negative mention of LRG), I thought we would be spared the LRG rant this week. Oh no, just getting started. Even throw in SR for good measure.
I was not expecting this weeks switch watch to go off the rails like that LOL Perfect clever disguise. I couldn’t agree more with your take, before I would have to ignore or skip the LRG titles knowing about their shitty team. I as many others, found this out as consumers. And I appreciate you sticking up for people that actually appreciate these games, and not ones who abuse it as a re-sell gimmick.
I used to think Super Rare were alright, as far as companies go. This isn't so much a rant about the blind boxes, it's more a rant about their CE of Grapple Dog, that they put of for sale at the end of October, that still hasn't shipped yet. Isn't their mantra that they get things in stock before they put them up for sale? I'm pretty disappointed in them for that. I just want my games.

Every time you mention Limited Run, I get a bit of sick in my mouth. Sheisters the lot. Had Sol Cresta in my wish list then they region lock Play Asia. No words are harsh enough for them. Then Platinum, who I love, selling their souls to them. I’ve basically kept them in business and they prevent me purchasing a physical copy. Add that to the fragmented cost of the game digitally (and the cost digitally which is way too high). Rant over, love n peace…

Yes, but how do you really feel about LRG? I was hoping the Adventure Academia reviews on Steam were just some lost in translation thing. I'll be bummed if it's that bad. Will also wait for the likely eventual ESRB release of Front Mission 1st.
I like Super Rare, but the blind boxes thing is not cool. I don't even buy limited print games much anyway. The only blind boxes I like to buy are the $10 plastic toy kind, and for video games, I'd never buy a blind box for more than the original game prices, but I'd have to be enticed by a lower price, honestly. 🐠🐟🐡🍥
Apparently my sol Cresta is out for delivery so play Asia must've been allowed to fulfil existing orders. Either that or I'm going to be very disappointed.
Redout 2 comes with a season pass for DLC stuff... Very disappointing. Rather they not realise it until all DLC can be on the cart. In terms of Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time. I personally don't class it as a reprint if LRG is doing it. That makes it an ESRB release, separate to the PEGI release as it's not reprinting the PEGI one. Essentially just localised release. Collectors in the end generally collect by region. PEGI and ESRB will be separated in people's collections.

I couldn’t agree more with your take, before I would have to ignore or skip the LRG titles knowing about their shitty team. I as many others, found this out as consumers. And I appreciate you sticking up for people that actually appreciate these games, and not ones who abuse it as a re-sell gimmick.

I used to think Super Rare were alright, as far as companies go. This isn't so much a rant about the blind boxes, it's more a rant about their CE of Grapple Dog, that they put of for sale at the end of October, that still hasn't shipped yet. Isn't their mantra that they get things in stock before they put them up for sale? I'm pretty disappointed in them for that. I just want my games.

I still love watching these episodes even though I pretty much stopped buying any of the "Limited" print games etc for about a year now. Honestly, the steamdeck cured quite a bit of my switch game purchases.
I make these videos and yet I rarely buy much these days. Too many financial responsibilities to be keeping up with endless releases. I’ll grab the big ones later down the line
Typically I agree with ya on card games except for one, Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist! One of my favs.

Every time you mention Limited Run, I get a bit of sick in my mouth. Sheisters the lot. Had Sol Cresta in my wish list then they region lock Play Asia. No words are harsh enough for them. Then Platinum, who I love, selling their souls to them. I’ve basically kept them in business and they prevent me purchasing a physical copy. Add that to the fragmented cost of the game digitally (and the cost digitally which is way too high). Rant over, love n peace…

I like Super Rare, but the blind boxes thing is not cool. I don't even buy limited print games much anyway. The only blind boxes I like to buy are the $10 plastic toy kind, and for video games, I'd never buy a blind box for more than the original game prices, but I'd have to be enticed by a lower price, honestly.

Redout 2 comes with a season pass for DLC stuff... Very disappointing. Rather they not realise it until all DLC can be on the cart.
In terms of Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time. I personally don't class it as a reprint if LRG is doing it. That makes it an ESRB release, separate to the PEGI release as it's not reprinting the PEGI one. Essentially just localised release. Collectors in the end generally collect by region. PEGI and ESRB will be separated in people's collections.
