Win or lose...my Indiana Hoosiers have punched above its weight...and made us very happy All others can say what they like...who cares Thanks Coach Cignetti
If Indiana loses, they'll face the "they didn't belong" narrative for years and will be ranked lower as a result. If Notre Dame loses, they'll still receive an inflated ranking next year. Too much emphasis is placed on the historical reputations of these two programs, one featuring legendary greatness with names like The Four Horsemen, The Gipper, The Bus and The Rocket, while the other being a pathetic punching bag, but there is no carryover. History is irrelevant in games like this. It all comes down to the current players and coaches executing their game plan. What players and coaches did 5, 10, or 50 years ago while wearing the same jerseys has zero bearing on this matchup.
Funny thing is - we tend to finish higher than our preseason rankings. Also - it’s ok to just accept IU is a respectable team. And even tho Cig talked too much shit and got whipped, still got a lot of respect for what he’s done. Give a few years and IU will get bigger in the trenches. They just got out muscled. Not enough speed and length tho either. And that’s the biggest thing Freeman has done with recruiting. But yeah, keep dogging the program that sticks to its traditions and does things in a unique way. That makes you the same kinda person that relentlessly hates Trump and votes blue no matter who
@@AB-eq9mm No, a stronger, bigger and better D line was relevant. What any given team did in the past is only relevant when/if the players and staff are the same. Notre Dame's 11 past titles have absolutely zero bearing on the performance of their current team. Fanboys like to hang onto the history, but it has no relevance on the outcome.
@slibertas1996 hard to argue, but we both know IU hasn't seen a back like Love or even Price, let alone a team that their QB can run as well. The regular season means nothing in playoffs. That's why guys like Montana and Brady are considered legends, and the Marinos aren't.
I'm originally from Indiana and have been going to games for over five decades. I can say this without hesitation. IU fans were the worst I've ever experienced at ND. Drunk, obnoxious, overbearing, and just plain rude. So glad we clown stomped them.
I expect ND to win this game like everybody else, but anything can happen. I wlatched the 2009 Kentucky Derby where a 50 to 1 shot came out of nowhere to win it. So who knows? derby
EZ W for the Irish ☘️ Hoosier Daddy😂😂😂

Either way I'm happy for my Hoosier's
Lets go Irish but it is cool to see IU in the playoffs.

Seems like history was relevant 🤷♂️

@@Surge308 Wrong, politics doesn't belong here, but for the record I voted bright red 👍😆
@ in theory yes, but in practice teams with no history and go on a run tend to be exposed as frauds.
Yes
Vegas started with a point spread of 8 1/2 points. Money line has the point spread down to 7 the day of the game.
Overtime winner!
This is a 3 point game either direction not including some late game defensive/special teams TD.
Not so much
Maybe next year buddy
24-21 Indiana. Rourke is the better QB and Indiana will stop the run
Haven’t played a back like J love
Nd has 4 legit running backs, the line will get tired, PLUS leonard running☘️
Tell me why you think they'll stop the run?
