Jill Scott and Rapper Common were two of the many poets invited to an evening of poetry at the white house.
Jill is AWESOME! RAW, unvarnished, yet beautiful and delicate. I love Jill Scott! She's awesome. I'm glad she was a part of poetry night last night at the White House!

Jill moves me so! She is such a soulful woman her spirit speaks every time she opens he mouth! She definitely moves me emotionally.

I think the jewel is probably the best person that I've ever heard write poetry it's emotional it's moving makes sense in real life it was a poem that she did on an album it was about this girl and acting out down the block

To all the close minded folks who came to blast her...get off your high horse and realize that poetry is a lost art form. Jill Scott is an amazing performer and vocalist. Her spoken word was brilliant and really talks to the false security of people thinking that sex has no consequences: broken hearts, STDs, Pregnancy, and Aids. Wake up to the real issues at hand, funding are being cut for alot of things. Get you heads out of your Xboxs to vote on those who are trying to help you.
@ScientologyStoners Why so many problematic Black Women, what makes you so astute. Society has produced their own problems against a certain sex from a specific race. I live in Germany,and I'am Black..I dated once a Japan young lady.She said to me,she didn't know why the German men didn't find her attractive.She said in her hometown of Japan,the men would drop to their knees for her.I told her maybe they are not open to Asian women like that.I told her they are blind because you are Beautiful.
@ScientologyStoners That is not what she was saying in her article in Essence. She said that she felt that when some Black men get successful they go out and get another woman of another race. Black women need to wake up to see that there are men out there to date besides a brother. Some Black women feel that it is not fair when we are just as good as Becky. It is not hatred when you are going by some else's opinion and not looking at the person as a whole. Palin's package as a whole idiot.
@MSMILLA oh dont start...everybody knows shes trolling for pharmaceutical companies...no one is disagreeing the fact that the sister is good at what she does....but at the same time it would be crazy to agree and support what shes TRYING TO DO...propagading lies for whoever cut her a check and promised her some spotlight...
WHY not for once focus on the natural and healthy benefits of sex rather than trolling pharmaceutical scare tactics as consequences and coercing people to buy harmful drugs
