    How has your project The Halcyon Effect not taken off? Tf. That shit is fantastic. Heavily underrated.

    This is exactly the tone that I was looking for. Not harsh and its got this clean biting tone in distortions.

    would be cool if you can record and share DI tracks so we can either reamp into our rig our throw it in our signal chain.

      Joseph Garibay Thank you! For the rhythm tone, I was in drop C#, and drop D for the clean/lead sections

    I just bought these pickups. Now what amp and pedal do I need to get this sound. My fender frontman just isn't cutting it.

    You already clarified in the video but I just want to make sure before I order these...these can definitely do clean and dirty tones? I usually play in standard but will drop tune from time to time as low as C. Mostly clean, delay, and distortion.

    • @RobertoGranadosGuitar
      @RobertoGranadosGuitar  6 років тому

      Yes! These are not *super* high output, so they're very versatile and can handle cleans just as well as distortion, as well as low drop tunings. The first clip in this video is in drop c#, so pretty close to dropping to C as you mentioned.

    Robert nice demo and really good playing as always. I am going to buy this guitar. Can I use it with stock pickups or they are not useful at all?

    • @firas_mestiri
      @firas_mestiri 6 років тому +1

      Vivek Chauhan in his other video he said that the stock pickups are actually really impressive

    • @RobertoGranadosGuitar
      @RobertoGranadosGuitar  6 років тому +2

      Hey man, thanks! Yeah, I honestly think that the stock pickups this guitar came with are quite good, so it isn’t absolutely necessary to swap out the pickups unless you feel like you want to - as I did :)

      Roberto Granados thanks dude. I might swap it with bare knuckle juggernaut when I will have funds. :)

      Until you asked this I thought it was a solid bridge, but after looking at it I'm confused. Now it looks like a floating bridge without a bar. Wtf

  • @SoulStatement
    @SoulStatement 5 років тому

    Do the neck and bridge use different magnets? One barium ferrite and the other ceramic or is it some mix of both?
    Good job by the way.

      Thanks! Unfortunately I’m not sure

    • @jasonfrench8851
      @jasonfrench8851 11 місяців тому

      Both pickups use barium ferrite. It's their proprietary magnet material they use for all of their sensors

    • @RobertoGranadosGuitar
      @RobertoGranadosGuitar  6 років тому

      unfortunately I'm not sure exactly, although they were pretty moderate in terms of their output; not too hot

    I thought these pups were muddy compared to Gibson 490s. Then again, I don’t play through a bunch of digital crap, so maybe they’re not suited to my rig.
    Kinda dumb looking too.
    They’re coming out of the SG asap.

  • @peppe406
    @peppe406 5 років тому

    I bought an SG with these pickups installed. They sound terrible. I couldn’t replace them fast enough.
