Longewala post 1971 we have 120 men against 2000 pakistani + 60 tanks .. commander told to fall back but last decision goes to company commander n he decided to fight n that's why longewala post own the war
This is right that our soldiers were asked by the commanders on the field when they go for such suicidal missions that who wants to go back can go but no one go back they fight till end..on field there is no satrategy in such wars or eye to eye.... Strategies mainly apllies on covert or surgical precision raids.. But cpt batra volunteer himself as others do... Jai hind

I still remember the day when his body reached our hometown .. the whole town felt like they have been torn and left with a big hole in our hearts. I just hope the movie shershah commemorates with brave soul.
You might not like what I about to say professor but the fact is that US refused to provide India the eyes when it asked for satellite support. Not sure if that affected the aspect of the captain losing his life but yes it's a fact that US did that because it was Pakistan's ally. This alarmed the Indians and it was decided that we will have to develop our own eyes in the sky and that's why ISRO has done us proud today and produced what India lacked and made us self reliant and self sufficient as far as it's satellite needs are today.

Watch the video on Rezang La of Ladhak Dist. it's from Indo China War in 1962 when 120 Indian Army men took on to fight rather not leave their post against 5000 Chinese Army and until the last men fallen they took out 1800 Chinese Army men. The Chinese Army also recognised their heroic said that they were the real winner's in this battle.
I always feel proud that I also come from the same province as Captain Vikram Batra and indeed he is a true hero. He will always be remembered for the courage and bravery he showed during kargil war and I bet pakistanis cried back then.

INDIA will always be in debt of what he did to protect us.I had the honor of meeting Lt. Naveen in December and I told him that we will always be in debt of his and all the guys who protect us.What he did was absolutely brave,and his reply was that's our job.And I was blown away.I saw the limp in his walk and still he had a smile on his face.A some more heroes of 1971 war including Major General Ian Cardozo too that day and it was actually the best day of my life.I had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up Everytime I approached these heroes to shake their hands or to touch their feet.

The strature of Mr Batra is so great that his regiment still waits for his supper to be served before anyone takes their servings. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
