Loved this song for years.. something about the guitar riffs, then drums, then, how the vocals just cut in, like ...did I miss a verse? Like no leading into the lyrics, it's just cuts in. What an embrace I have for it.
Saw them live back in the day with that first guy on vocals, can't remember his name(?)..but it was a super tight & crushing gig already back then, one could tell they were serious & not just a cover band. The "Sewers"-album is so underrated by these guys btw, with Juri Sallinen on vocals, he was an awesome replacement after Barnes, he's got some high quality DM pipes. Check it out, the songs kick ass as well. "Swarm" with Barnes is awesome too of course, Barnes really stepped it up on that album after a few weaker moments there in Six Feet Under.
I totally dig this. Love the groovy riffage. Swarm! is a super killer album. They were originally a Six Feet Under cover band and named themselves after the Six Feet Under song, Torture Killer. Later on they began composing and performing original material in the same vein. Chris Barnes, the original singer for Cannibal Corpse and current singer for Six Feet Under, officially joined Torture Killer as lead singer in November 2005 and was a part of the recording of the album Swarm!. He left the band in January 2008.
Another new to me band. Once again I will need more before I pass judgment. I did like what I heard though. Not really what I was expecting musically from the name Torture Killer.
I just got a UA-cam suggestion for the label releasing the new Torture Killer and after sampling it, I thought the one new song I heard sounded like Chris Barnes singing for Ministry so I shared it with 2 guys I know, one whom loves Ministry and the other Chris Barnes era Cannibal
