I’m so glad you just posted this video. I’ve been experimenting using spray foam and balloons to make pumpkins. I’ve been wracking my brain trying to come up with another method to make the shape. The balloon is super precarious. 😂🎃
I did the same thing a few years ago and made a "Pumpkin Head" for a costume. I used waxed paper on a piece of cardboard, pulled the neck of the balloon through a small whole in the paper/cardboard, and then wrapped waxed paper and painters tape around the lower half of the balloon so it would stand up while I applied the G.S. foam. I did a "stem" on top with G.S. and then carved the stem to shape.

The way the jaw moved when you used it as a mask was actually terrific! It would make an excellent Headless Horseman or general pumpkinhead character. If it strikes your fancy, I would loooooove to see a video about how to make a gargoyle. Have fun! and be safe- ventillated area. apply, then spray with water so it skins- after you spray wait five minutes and you wont get it on your hands.

When I took the two pieces out of my molds I folded them inside out and then put them together, that way I didn't have to do the outside texturing with foam again, the texturing that was initially on the inside of the bowl became the outside. 👍🏻
Great job! So....instead of spraying the bowl with water would a cooking spray like Pam work, or could olive oil or butter be used to "grease" the bowl? 🤔

its a goodtime!
It is absolutely adorable!!! I want to try it so bad. Thank you
Please do! just work in a well ventilated area and never use a real candle, cause fire is bad.
This is a great help. Thanks for posting this. I am going to make a trip to get me some spray foam!
Have fun! and be safe- ventillated area. apply, then spray with water so it skins- after you spray wait five minutes and you wont get it on your hands.
Love the pumpkin as a mask!

so glad you like them, thanks for commenting!
I used great stuff to make a Halloween tree. Don't get that stuff on your hands!! Took weeks for it to wear off lol Made pillars with Skellys in it and wore gloves. Learned my lesson. The stuff is fab. I'm going to make pumpkins now. You inspired me. 😊
Thanks for the tips!
Turned out awesome!!!! I’m gonna try this !!!!!
Please do!
I don’t know if you look at old videos, but I made my first foam Punkin thank you I watch all , your videos trying to I’m learning a lot from you it came out great. We make all my pumpkins now from this foam, Loctite or great stuff.
I respond to all comments, it just takes a while. so glad you like the channel.
Looks so freaking awesome well done man. New subscriber
Thanks for the sub!
it could, but I need the water to help the foam cure, and the cooking spray will make it hard to paint later.
