@hopeless romantic ...what does being an actor or voice actor have to do with anything? I'm surprised because she acts the same in real life as she does as her character in Harry Potter.
Beautiful casting of Luna. You know you got the right person for the job when their body language, voice, tone and phase are naturally exactly like the character you want to cast.

Evanna really owns Luna Lovegood and she really made it hers.. Her voice really matches her character and she really nailed it. Even re-reading her lines in the book,her voice really pops up. Also like she has grown so much and you compare to this and her interviews nowadays,she has really matured so much
She sounds and acts as if she has such a sweet spirit on top of all that talent. I hate what she said about getting upset because of something nasty a fan said on one of the sites....other people who are not actors (particularly film actors) have no idea how difficult it is to play a role, especially one set up in a totally fictional world.
Now that I have read her book I just want to hug her and tell her everything is going to be fine. She was going through a lot and she just performed amazingly, my favorite character, one of the best in the saga.

It's because she was battling with anorexia and was in out of hospital when she was younger - her mother was just protecting her incase she didn't get the part and would maybe relapse or become depressed (she states this in an interview) Good job her father encouraged her though. Also Evanna and J.K Rowling become pen pals when she was in and out hospital before the films were being made , she then went on to audition for Luna and got the part which obviously gave her hope and helped with battling the anorexia.
