    I got a pair of voodoo floss bands like 10 years ago and I use them often, particularly on my elbows. I’ve found that if you get the end of the band a little wet, it grabs easier. Thanks Doc!

    my favorite phrase from K-Starr "garbage out, groceries in"
    VF is basically a self-applied pin-and-stretch, pin-and-flex

    Kelly can you please please do a video on people with ligament laxity or EDS? I have been hoping you'd cover this for years and you never really have! I have lax ligaments and extensible skin etc (EDS like but undiagnosed) but have found strength training to be helpful. However, I struggle to improve ROM in hips and ankles despite my condition! You mention to avoid joint mobilisation in such people, can you please demonstrate or discuss how best to improve ROM in this population! Thank you so much for all of your work!

    To increase motion and strength of joints…I LEAVE TAIL of band to pull. This forces impinged area with rotation and pulls (often creates sounds of pop & grind in tissue) my tendons, facia, and joint coordination

      @@HumanBodyMaintenance I'm not sure but im guessing he leaves the band untucked into itself so he can pull on it? I guess that would kinf of twist the tissues as he pulls?

    Floss bands can also be used daily as a light isometric and massaging exercise, not just during injury. I can go for about 20 minutes before the area goes numb.
    The magic is very similar to compression which stimulates proprioception

    I think I'm going to order this band and try it. I've been doing ultrasound therapy on my right arm the past few weeks with a steroid added into the gel to try and work it in with the therapy and I'm still not feeling any improvements. It may help for 24hrs, but then I'm back to being sore working my desk job the next day. Ultrasound wanding, scraping, Dexamethasone being rubbed in, nothing seems to be working for me.
    My diagnosis has gone from golfer's elbow, to tendonitis, and possibly now being referred to a rheumatologist despite my blood work being negative for arthritis twice at the age of 34.

      You may want to have some focus on stretching your serratus anterior (tight due to rounded shoulder position from computer/tech usage) and infraspinatus (up the chain, tight due to serratus anterior being tight). Trigger points for both of these can refer directly into forearm pain/discomfort.

    This is legit science and based on peer-reviewed research, right? Like it’s not just bro-science? Part of me is like “oh yeah, this makes perfect sense,” and the other is like “this sounds as ridiculous as tying a tourniquet around problem areas to flush the junk out and rush the groceries in.”

    • @FH-pn1tm
      @FH-pn1tm 2 роки тому +1

      Just try it out, seem to be harmless at least and helped me a lot personally. Some stuff takes years and years to get a sufficient amount of research done

      This is such a stupid attitude. If it works, do it. If it doesn't, don't. There isn't any danger. For crying out loud, do you have peer-reviewed research telling you to shake off the last few piss drops, or do you just do it to keep your crotch dry?

    Hi Kelley - I just bought the Voodoo floss and it came as a very long single piece. What is the length that you have cut the floss for use on the elbows?

    • @quickblu
      @quickblu 4 роки тому +2

      Just wrap it around and tuck it in. Or leave the loose ends.

    • @Umarzer0.
      @Umarzer0. 3 роки тому

      7ft

    • @BUFFALO_cougar_slayer
      @BUFFALO_cougar_slayer 2 роки тому

      For posterity, if you ordered the 28’ version, it’s intended to be cut up, usually into 7’ lengths

  • @classicflo6616

    Lot of comments saying it's great. Not seeing any saying it solves elbow pain. Also if you wanna try this just use a rubber training band or wrist sleeve imo should do the same thing ie put something tight on the area. Long story short I'll pass🤭
