Thanks, Kellie. I've been struggling with crimp beads vs crimp tubes, and also with the proper way to pinch the bead or tube. I'm not exactly a beginner, but there are many techniques to learn, an sometimes I'll skip over the fine details because I'm distracted by a new idea or technique. Consequently, I end up repeating mistakes over and over and wasting materials. I've also been told that crimp covers are the way to go, but, as I watch this tutorial, I can see that a crimp cover isn't always necessary. Your crimped tubes look very nice. This is the best tutorial I've seen, and I thank you, Kellie.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching and commenting. 😄
Very cute! Thank you for sharing, and you’re great at teaching clearly and concisely!
Thank you! 😊
I LOVE your tips on crimping. And your tips in general. You are a great teacher. Thank you Kellie. I love your videos and can't wait for the next one to come out.
Thanks Denise! ❤️
Beautiful! I’ve had those dang ends come out and poke me, now I know how to fix that! Thank you!!
I made a bunch of these for Christmas. So easy to make. And people really loved them.
Very sweet. I love the use of the small magnets
Thank you! 😊
So glad to see someone crimp beads properly!
Awesome! It’s my biggest pet peeve when people leave that little bit hanging there.
Thank you Kellie for your help.
Another great video. Love the bracelet! Those Picasso beads are gorgeous.
I have those teenie supersonic strength magnets so when I saw you were using them, I got excited, thinking you were going to have tips to stop them from getting stuck to the tools. I cracked up when you had the same problem. 🤣🤣🤣
Yea. They are tough ones! Someone recently recommended taking them apart first so they are magnetized. Sounds like it would work.
FINALLY!! A crimping explanation that I understand. Taco shape - love it!!
Awesome! It’s easy once you get the hang of it. Practice, practice, practice!
Thanks!
You bet!
Cute little bracelet, thanks Kellie 💙. And thank u muchly Kellie 🧡 for demonstrating, so very clearly, the crimping process. When I was learning how to crimp, I had to watch several ++different videos before I finally got the WHOLE sequence correctly sorted. Great tips too - just one of my own to add, is to keep the clasp together whilst crimping, so the magnets aren’t quite so bothersome 😂 I am sure anyone new to crimping, and even some not so new like myself, will find this video to be the most helpful there is!!! PS I only found your videos a few weeks ago, but have watched many since, and I have enjoyed each and every one, as well as learning lots of great design ideas and all sorts of great tips. Thank you for all of them Kellie. Kind regards, from Suzi in New Zealand 🇳🇿🦜🍀
Thank you, have been rewinding for days but finally think I mastered that barrel know. You are a great teacher. :)
Thanks Carol!
Can't wait to try these tomorrow. These look simple but more sophisticated than just those wire-like bangles I've seen on other You Tube channels. Please keep these great tutorials coming.
❤️❤️❤️
This just popped up.. perfect timing, got some tubes, some beads, and some magnetic catches.. now I know what to do with them, thank you 😅
Fabulous!
Cute bracelet!
Thank you for showing us the proper way to use crimping pliers. I have had a pair for quite awhile, and every time I would try to make it work I would break the crimp. You have such a way of explaining how things work, I don't have to make the project three times, just to get it looking good. again Thank you
Thanks Mary! I’m so glad my video helped. 😀
Fun and games with magnets! I am glad to see you are recommending those ones; they are so discreet.
Thanks Wendy. They are my favourite.
Real cute, I’ll try to make a couple. I too have trouble with the ball crimp beads.
I had so much fun making these last night. I couldn't stop myself. Look good and fast too. This one us a real winner. Live the stacked look. I've got to buy more colors of 8.0. Thank you for making this do simple that even a newbie can do it.
❤️❤️❤️
Very very cute! Love them
Thank you! 😀
Thank you Kellie for the lesson in crimping. It was always hit and miss with me but you made it so clear. Before this video I realize I was doing it wrong for years. I awlays tried to push the end into beads at the end, I didn't know you could just snip it at the end of the crimp. Thanks again...
Awesome! I’m glad my video helped you. 😀
Beautiful!!! Thank you for the tip abt cutting it off right at the crimp. I always thread back through a few beads and hate when it ends up poking out!!!
Thank you, Kellie! Can't wait to try some of these :) Magnetic closures are quirky to work with but worth it in the end!
Thanks for watching Joy!
Great video! Thank you!
Lovely bracelets!! It`s a pleasure watching you work and explain so clearly. Thank you!!!!
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!
Very nice. Thanks for the tips with the crimps. I was one of those that left a tail and tucked back into beads for security but now I know that I don't have to do that. I'm not very fond of magnets but I'll try them to see how it works out. Thank you for your videos.
You can always add a toggle. I just wanted to keep it clean and simple.
Thank you Kellie for a super clear video on how to crimp correctly, whilst also dispelling some crimping myths :)
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching. 💕💕
Oooo I really like those magnet clasps
Thanks! They are awesome to use. 😀😀
Awesome, these bracelets are just my style.
Thanks for watching!
These are absolutely darling!
Thank you Karen! 💕💕
Thank you again for a great video! I made one today. I messed up a few times, but finally got one together.
Awesome! I’m glad you gave it a try. 😀
Great crimp video! I always feel like I'm not doing them right, but you did a great job demoing it for us. Thanks!
Awesome! I’m glad you found it helpful. 😀
Kellie, What a cute project. These will be so quick and easy to make. Thanks for sharing this creative design.
You are very welcome Mary!
Wow,,,,, I have been making jewelry for years and doing it wrong. You rock Kellie?
Probably not wrong, just different. 😀
Thanks for watching!
Great tutorial, Kellie! Thanks for the tip about maintaining the parallel wire when crimping. I've had issues in the past using crimp tubes and stopped using them for that reason. Now I know exactly how to use them correctly. Thanks so much!
Excellent! I’m glad my video could help you. Thanks for watching 😀
ill
Your videos are so Awesome! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
You are very welcome Susan! I appreciate you watching and commenting 💕💕
I love your videos! You're a great teacher. Thanks!
What a cute bracelet!! Thank you for the crimp tutorial as well! Was laughing about the magnets. I picked up a pair last week and when I got them out of the package I couldn’t figure out how to get them apart lol 😆Thanks for the tip on sliding them to open 💖
Thankfully I didn’t bust in to cussing as that was where I was heading! LOL. I think it’s good that I keep those challenging things in the videos so you can see that I too struggle at times. 😂😂😂
Thank you! I spent an hour wrestling with the crimp bead, wire guard, and magnet!! Good to see a pro do it in under 5 min!. Practice, practice and practice. Will try your crimp beads.
That’s my best advice. Keep trying!! 😀
I love this! Good to see I'm not the only one that struggles w magnets..lol
Truly love your style. So clear and concise. And so.... human. I thanks so much! have everything i need except i dont have these little double crimps. Going to the website...
Thanks Kellie! Another cute and simple idea! 😬😍
Thanks Becky!
SIMPLE AND AWESOME.
Thank you for watching! 😀
Wish I would have had your video when I first got my crimping pliers..
At least I’ve made it easier moving forward! 😀

Kellie, Thank you... just love your tutorials!
Thank you so much Judy! 💕💕
Loveeeeeeee these bracelets, i know those magnets are really hard to control, i wonder if we can cover it with the other end while we are crimping, love to buy the crimping beads.❤️❤️❤️
Just bought 2 kits. Can’t wait to get them!
Thanks so much! I hope you have fun putting them together. 😀
I love that so easy to wear!
Thanks Karen! 😀
Thanks Kellie! Great video👍🏼
Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it! 💕😀
Excellent tutorial!!! Thank you!!📿😀
Thanks! 😀
So cute...thank you!!
Thank you for watching! 😀
Hi Kellie! Just watched your video. Thank you for sharing. Would you please post the item numbers for the each component to make them easy to locate in your store? Much appreciated.
Thank you. Great crimping tutorial.
Thanks for watching! 💕💕
Thanks for info
Love this bracelet! So dainty! As a self taught jewelry maker, I don't even own a crimper! I've been flattening then folding crimps with my flat nose 😅 And yes they come out awful so I cover with crimps covers. I also leave a tail...😑 You taught me some stuff today...lol
Awesome! The correct tools can make all the difference 😀
Thank you 😊
Good tutorial. Thank you.
Love it going to give it a try.
Awesome! Have fun!
Hi Kellie, really cute nice looking bracelet. Thx for the idea. BTW ... would it help to give the cantankerous magnet something else to latch onto while you are working on your crimp? Not sure but it came to mind as I watched your tute. Thank you again.
Hmm I never thought about that! I might have to see if I can try something. 😀
I find just leaving the clasp together, rather than separating it, usually helps. Anything the magnet 🧲 could stick to would do the trick tho 🙃
I love your videos and your products. I am wondering if there is a way to tell what is a good magnetic clasp from the ones that won't hold two pieces of leaper together? Thank you Melissa
Thanks Melissa! I don’t know how to tell if I don’t have my hands on them. I don’t think there is a way to without trying them first. I bought tons of different kinds but settled on these as they were the strongest by far.
I’m new and lovin your channel 😇💙😎
Thank you!
Now I'm hungry for tacos ha ha ha thank you love you channel !
🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing this I was looking for crimps on the website to buy and it seems very difficult if you are a beginner to find the right size for which wire and when I opened utube there you are wow this is such a amazing sign thanks for your video's 💕💕💕💕😰
Thanks Clarissa! I appreciate you watching 😀
Kelly😊 love those 🌸🌹🌸
Thanks! ❤️❤️
Love these💕
Thanks for watching 💕💕
Thank you again your videos are always great! Love those darn magnets too:-)
Thanks Barb! Yes. They are mighty and tough to work with.
For people with arthritis in their hands the magnetic clasp is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
They sure are!
I've found if you keep the magnet together it fights with you less.
Crimp beads have always been my nemesis. I will try nor to leave the wire longer, but I usually put them through a few beads. Could that be my problem? Also my crimp tends to roll over when I do the second squeeze. Thanks Kellie for any advice you have.
Maybe it’s the quality of crimps you are using?
Nice awesome video
Thanks so much! 💕💕
thanks love to each you you are a good theacher
Thanks so much! 💕💕
Hello there! What size tube beads did you use? Love the video! I’m gonna try this asap! ❤❤
Here is a link to my store. I sell them in several colors. www.kelliesbeadboutique.com/Silver-Plated-Curved-Tube-p/2.5x40silver.htm
@@KelliesBeadBoutique thanks!
Very cute! I do have a question about the crimping process. I’ve watched videos where the person said to put the wire through another bead or two and then cut it off. But based on your video, that’s not necessary to do? Is that correct? Thank you in advance! 💜
Thank you! There is no purpose in putting the wire through a bead. It will eventually just poke out and start jabbing you. If you crimp properly, with good crimps, your pieces will stay together. 😀
Kellie's Bead Boutique Thank you!! I really thought you had to - thanks for teaching me something new!!
BTW, do you use a chain so the bracelets won't attach to metal objects as I'm walking by?
Yes. You could for sure.
What care to the metal parts of your jewelry, do they tarnish what do you use to brighten the metal.
You can use a polishing cloth. We sell them on my website.
Kellie, sometimes I feel like the person asking the most questions on here. I'm 65, started jewelry and LOVE it. You have been the most helpful person to watch on here because of your directness, thoroughness, and simplicity of explanation. I wish I had seen this before I made 50 bracelets. While making them my wire is most often crossing the other or are side by side. Are they going to come undone.? If so I'm in trouble.
Thanks for watching Becky!
There is always the possibility that they might come apart but maybe you will get lucky! If you are worried I would give a tug on them and see if they hold up.
PS...I don’t mind the questions. 💕💕
@@KelliesBeadBoutique I will do that. I have given some away and no one has complained yet! Thank goodness! Wouldn't that be embarassing? Maybe I should wear them all first, lol!!
I love this =)
Do you have a link to your crimping tool?
www.kelliesbeadboutique.com/Crimping-Pliers-p/plcrimp.htm
You had Taco on your mind... didn't ya ;) LOL! Well I end up going to Taco bell and now going to order this! Thank you for the tutorial!
LOL. Hope you enjoyed the Taco Bell as much as the bracelet! 😜😜😜
Hi Kellie! PRETTY!! The magnets help u get them on easy..but does getting the bracelets off by yourself put a LOT of stress & WEAKEN your jewelry piece?
I don’t think so. I think if you try and slide the magnet versus pulling on it everything should be fine. 😀
@@KelliesBeadBoutique Ok..Thk u! ☺️
Hello!!!! Again super nice tutorial, do you think we can use a crimp cover for that project?
Thanks a lot!!!
Absolutely! Just allow a little more space on either side. 😀
@@KelliesBeadBoutique Thank you soooo much 🤩
I’ve noticed sometimes the crimp doesn’t crimp well. It seems to open up and not fold over when using the outer oval hole on the crimp tool. Is this because they are making some crimp beads to just work by squishing them down? Like these are two kinds of crimp beads? Please advise.
It’s most likely user error or poor quality crimps. If you use the tool correctly and with enough force then your crimps shouldn’t fail. Make sure to purchase good crimps. That’s really important.
Love all your tutorials! Again where can I order your kits? You are amazing! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
All our kits are available here: www.kelliesbeadboutique.com/Jewelry-Kits-s/2106.htm
They are cute but when you stack them they do stick together because of the magnets so I would use another type of clasp, maybe small lobster clasps???
They might stick together. You could change out the clasps to alleviate that problem.
Hi Kellie! Love this bracelet! Now I know what to do with those tube beads I bought! I have another question for you. In your opening, you have some really good size mannequin shapes. Can I ask how tall they are? I know it's a weird question, but I've been wanting to get one to take pictures of my longer necklaces for my Etsy shop, but I don't have much room for a full size sewing mannequin. Thanks bunches and have a great day!!!
Thanks Anna! If you are talking about the ones behind me they are about 16” high I believe. They are just the perfect size to hang necklaces on. I used to buy them at TJ Maxx and just paint them if the colours were wrong.
@@KelliesBeadBoutique Thanks, Kellie!! I'm glad I asked.....they look much higher. Most of the ones I've come across are full size and I'd have to move out of my craft room! ;-)
Anna Centanni LOL. Sometimes I’ve seen them for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Maybe you will get lucky and find one.
Can you connect the magnet ends to help with attachment issues
Sure. You can try anything when you are creating. ❤️
Great tutorial. Thank you. Where can i get those ? Could you share that with me?
Thanks Adina! Here is the link to the kit. www.kelliesbeadboutique.com/Crimped-Stacking-Bracelet-Kit-p/crimped-stacking-bracelet-kit.htm
Thank You kindly!🌺
So I figured out how to get around the magnet issue. Take the beading wire and bend/press it back against the crimp so its like a "V" going on either side of the crimp. Then you can hold it by the magnet and the crimp will stay put and not move on you and you can go in and crimp it.
Glad you played around and found a way to make it easier! 💕
Try putting tape on magnet
One question accu flex same as soft flex?
I’m actually not sure as I’ve never used it. Softflex is the Cadillac of beading wires if you ask me. 😀
Sometimes I hold my bracelet upside down so the magnet is hanging and then use the crimper. What is the smallest size bead opening that will fit on the medium soft flex?
I’m not really sure!
I made the bracelet (with the magnet clasp) for a friend . She lost the bracelet and was so upset that she had . A few days later she found it stuck to the handle of her car...happy ending!
LOL! That’s why you always need to put a safety chain on it so it won’t come off if the magnet attaches to something. 😀
