07. Implementing DirectAccess in Windows Server 2016 (Step by Step guide)

In this video series I am going to implement and configure networking with Windows Server 2016. In the seventh video from the series I am going to implement DirectAccess using the Getting started wizard. This implementation should be used in test/small environments to get familiar with DirectAccess. If you plan to implement DirectAccess into a corporate environment I encourage you to check the nice guides from Microsoft.

I just created a OU and inside that created a DA_Client global security group(win10 client is a member of this group). AND ADDED THE GROUP as mentioned in video in the DIRECT access and VPN wizard. Which group policy i need to assign?

I am not so familiar whit Direct Access , but i think that the policy will be apply to all computer accounts in the root domain by default , but if you want you can disable that and link it only in that OU that you want.

Please i need help. I installed active directory and DNS and i integerated with DNS. When i write nslookup command in cmd it returned local host and ::1 dns instead of domain name and its IP. i tried everything with firewall and i went to the properties of dns server and in the interface i only select the ip but still no use. In the event viewer of DNS its giving error that dns cannot open connection with my static ip plz help.

after completing all the steps, i am still getting error from client system that clients seems to be the inside corporate network, also not getting Direct connection name in network settings on win 10 client. kindly help
