- Why League of Nations Failed | The Outbreak of World War 2 | Flashback with Palki Sharma
The United Nations was preceded by another organisation called the League of Nations. Its job was to prevent another world war. But in 1939, the League failed its most important mandate when Hitler's armies marched across Europe. Palki Sharma tells you why the League of Nations failed to stop World War 2.

Good presentation but wrong conclusion...sharing responsibilities means no one will control and no one will be controlled...therefore anarchy like before league in nations or un.
Flashback is very educative, kudos to the firstpost team 👏
It's first post, mate... not fire 🔥 post😮

I am originally from Togo and now reside in the states. I have yet to meet any American that know the history of the League of Nations. This organization was very consequential for Africa and the reason why we have the current nation states. At the end of the 2 war, the league decided to share all previous Germany colonies to the Allie-French and the British, like a cake just like it was earlier in 1884-1885 with the Berlin conference.
Thanks Palki for going into the memory lane and teach the West this evidence of the past. Every single African in Africa who finished high school know about this.
I am from the uUS and you are 100% correct
The Yanks don't know their own history let alone world affairs. Many think Paris is in Japan lol
It is in class 10 history book of India.
❤ Palki needs to teach the world, what's needed to be known for the growth of humanity ❣️😅. May you prosper 💪✌️ more power to you 🙏🥳.

Indians should be very proud they have Ms. Palki and everyone in FIRSTPOST. This is just a chef kiss 💗👑
Pride feed ego..
It's all business
Why proud ?Indians are poor😂😂
Without ww2 India still own to Britain😂
Dear Palki Sharma, thanks so very much for this piece. We can never thank you enough.
A gem, an icon. A precious gift to India and in fact, the whole world.
We really love you.
God bless you.
A Precious Gift From Bharat (India) to the World.
Palki is restoring my faith in journalism. She has that charm that makes me watch the news almost every day which I never had done before. Please keep doing more of this informative series, Palki!
It is not her charm! It is her IQ and EI that is the magnet for you!
Really? Not for me, she always put herself and India on a moral high ground…….is she a real journalist or India is so innocent? No! It’s about her perspective!
What I learnt in 8 minutes I could not do on my last several decades of existence. This woman is super power . Thankyou Palki
When half of the world is under the control of 4 countries, how do you expect the rest to tolerate this situation respectfully?

Love this new show... We will get to learn a lot of history and draw lessons, which is not really taught as part of our schooling curriculum...
Great job as always Palki and Team FirstPost
MORE OF THIS PLEASE!!!! I always like Ms Palki's Takeaway! I started following your program from the other show and I thought you lost from program and thankfully you have this again..
I like the way you educate us with the horrindous history we had. Thanks a lot!
I am Nigerian & lives in SA. I followed Palki from Wion to Firstpost. Her broadcast journalism blended with her beautiful charm are always commendable...
Firstpost is a place where teaching learning process 🙌is finished with excellence ✨
“Share power, share responsibility!” quite strong
Compiling the actual historical video clips to tell your story with the panache of Palki Sharma in this the 1st episode of Flashback felt like the freshly baked apple pie🧀❤
Palki, good initiative
Do cover historical events, what went right, what went wrong and lesson we can learn....am sure this will expose fake narrative and help new generation to know the real truth and learn from it 👏👏
Thank you mam. This was much needed. Unfortunately, UN has become a failed body today believe it or not.
Now, this is called a quality channel! Sort of like International PBS. I do not have much time, so I look for only quality and facts I can learn something from. Thank you very much.
Fascinating how history repeats itself; interesting to reflect on the parallels as we stumble once again into disaster.
Humble Suggestion: Would love to watch half hour of in-depth analysis show on one particular topic by Palki Sharma in the format of John Oliver's - last week tonight.
Fantastic. This message must be hammered again and again and again.
Did you like our first episode of #FlashbackFirstpost with Palki Sharma?
Like the video.

it was bankers who funded hitler to attack russia. When he refused they sanction Germany. Same with russia. When putin arrested mihail kodovorsky , Attack agains russia began in 2005
beggar cant ask for power. he do not know what to do with it. India is not strong enough to crush pakistan. Even in 1971 india would have split pakistan into pieces but afraid to act.
When the “ we are just getting started” hit me hard and now harder with new series , im up for this 🙏🏽
Absolutely .
I missed there educational reviews from Palki.
How comes you left wion?

Excellent, as usual. 👌👏 I see a 1945 deja vu with UN.
UN is already in crutches When the US dictates Visa cancellations to other nations' participants, the UN is unable to even address the basic issue.
@@kittyind the US doesnt want you in their country haha! keep stewing. and visa matters are strictly sovereign decisions. nothing to do with the UN.
This flashback series will help common people to understand the negligence and nusiances created by powerful nations. Thank you Palki Sharma Upadhyay. Always a fan and will always be a fan. Keep up the magnificent work.
enjoyed the first episode - should be used in schools for history lesson
Thank you Mrs Palki for educating us on history you're doing More work making us being aware of the past than the whole education system

Just the kind of show I had hoped. You people of Firstpost are doing a fine job lead by a powerful story teller in Palki Sharma. Kudos!! Congratulations and looking forward to future episodes.
Just a suggestion: Your app needs a lot of work. It seems dated, congested, has the same old story from last week still featured prominently. For all the fans of Palki and Firstpost, we need the app to be as crisp and informative as your shows. For news junkies like me who like to stay on top of headlines, I have to go to other news apps for more recent updates since yours isn’t up to date. Hope you guys will work on that as well. It’ll help build the Firstpost ecosystem and make it a reliable source for all things news worthy. Take your time but do give it a thought
This is awesome. Thanks for educating us #palkisharma and her team working behind. #Flashback🔥
Talking about peace is empty promises without the overwhelming military might to enforce it...
Keep this way of presentation in every day first post news👍👍👍
It really attractive and amazing 👍
Yes I love how she’s doing the historical segments just like she did on wion with gravitas plus
Palki once again, precise, concise and always on point. This flashback is so ominously relevant in light of the present global inter-nation alliance paradigm shift. Hope this time a balance can be struck to prevent a chaos that will dwarf ww2.
Thanks! As always, great work
Concise and well-articulated
I like Miss Palkie She always deliver the news with strong message. ❤🎉
Very interesting and informative session
We will wait for the second episode
Excellent visuals and outstanding presentation Palki Mam. Just wonderful..we need these documentaries by you more. One suggestion: You can explain more how things happened which will be more comprehensive. Video may be little bit longer but it will be super nice. Vedio length can be of about 15-18 minutes. That will be perfect.

True meaning of studying history is not just to know the story But to LEARN LESSONS from it and improve the present and future… Which is so smoothly depicted and explained by this video.
Superb work Palki Ma’am.
Please cover the whole of the world history through this series .. will watch all of them
Ma'am Palki usually you are accurate but in this flashback, errors have crept in. Czarist Russia had joined the Great War in 1914 as an ally of Britain and others of that camp but had left after the revolutions of 1917, so it was not a 'victorious' power when the war ended in 1918. It was not represented at Paris where leaders of other countries held negotiations or at Versailles where the treaty was signed.
But interestingly India was present with two representatives, one of whom was Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner. He personally met American president Wilson and argued that India should become a founding member of the proposed League of Nations. Wilson agreed and the British rulers could not play spoilsport. So the Maharaja and the other Indian delegate signed the treaty at Versailles and paved way for India to become a founder member of the League of Nations.
I loved the way she analyzed topics...
We Need More Videos Like this One...

Italy did not quit the invasion or war in Ethiopia, but rather he lost it against the Emperor of Ethiopia!!!
Let us be historically real!
and ethiopia got dismembered today. how’s it like without a coastline?
Am with you sir
I love what you said at the end. I wish world leaders had the same perspective!
"Today, it is us, tomorrow it will be you". Famous words uttered from the podium of the League of Nations by Emperor Haile Selassie in 1937 after Fascist Italy invaded Abyssinia (Ethiopia), raining mustard gas (hiprite, phosgene) on defenseless civilians, Geneva Convention be damned. The powers then, mainly Britain and France, decided to sacrifice Abyssinia, a member of the League, to appease Mussolini. Haile Selassie was prescient. 50 million people would be dead when WWII broke out in 1940 and raged until 1945. A great majority of the dead would be Europeans.
Exactly they always seem to leave out that part when judgement was cast by the emperor and it fell on death ears so WW2 started Europe fighting each other while the king treaded the winepress
This is the channel that tells the history and create the history.....great success is soon
Shocking that League of Nations sanctions didn't prevent or stop war. One could conclude that they helped start WW2, maybe those preaching sanctions on Russia now might learn a thing or two from this.
Nobody 'shares' their power....
It has to be ....S N A T C H E D
from them....🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
🇬🇧 😂 like to see you try
the editing is great but those who have read history are the ones who understood it, it could have been much more systemic and organized. some events like why Germany revolted because of the Treaty of Versailles, the imposed sanctions on Germany's army, the rhine valley conflict, and the shattered economy, in general, I expected more, and I'm sure it will improve, the episodes can be longer and more elaborating and can u touch parts of history which are not generally talked about or mentioned in history books it'll great this way and much more lucrative to watch,
anyways thank you for this show
Now UNO same like League Of Nation . No Libality and Reaponsibility 😮. We need some changes in UNO.

Great episode. Congratulations well researched nicely, put easy to understand, and of course fabulous delivery, one think I would like to say however, i liked the relaxed and laid back sitting positions of gravitas pluse, which made it feel like relaxed sunday conversation rather than a presentation/lecture.
Share power..share responsibility!!!!
This will never happen. As long as big. Powerful countries continue to push their self interests at the cost of poor and weak...world will see useless situation...life goes on...
I like the way it was presented palki, in my school days I didn't understand this topic so much with Indian perspective and connecting it with today's geopolitical scenario , keep it up 🎉!!
