- I am in a small town in the center of Kansas, population of 1,700, half of which live on a farms, and half in the township.
I planned ahead for my haircut, since this barbershop in the center of town, is only open two days a week. I walked in and was immediately greeted with "You again"? I said to take 1 or 2 inches off the top and trim the sides and the back. He asked "Are you going to film me again." I said "Of course." He joked "You going to hold that thing (camera) the whole time?".
This barber is a native Kansan named Morris Perkins, age 69 years old, and has a passion for being a barber. When you enter his domain, you go back in time. You will be blessed with his jokes and the best barber shop talk you could ask for.
This is his world of hunting and fishing magazines, stuffed deer heads, the most comfortable ladyboy recliner, pictures of George Bush and Sarah Pailin on the wall, his NRA membership and all his barber tools.

I loved my haircut and shave experience here, and had so much fun.
I brought my mother, Carla, and she quickly fell into the lazyboy recliner and even joined in on the classic barber talk.
He is exclusively open only on Tuesday and Friday 9am to 6pm. Other days he visits the local nursing/retirement homes to do haircuts on his longtime customers. So, plan ahead. If you want the classic barbershop experience, then this is it!

Morris use to cut the local Bishop's hair for a number of years. The bishop was scheduled to be transferred to a Phoenix Diocese. One Sunday this bishop came to a church dinner. He was one of the last persons to eat I sat down across from him and we talked a while. Then I said, well there is one good thing about you being transferred to Phoenix and he... what's that. I said.. you'll finally be able to get a decent haircut for a change! He laughed and said, you must be Morris's brother..
Love these memories of Morris the Barber. Is he doing okay? I wish I went back to him before I heard he retired. I still want his haircut!

I'm Morris's brother Greg. There are six of us boys. He's not the only non stop talker of the bunch. Brother Hilary doesn't have an off switch either. Sometimes you just need ear plugs, lol.

This has to be one of the most funny videos you've posted. The whole thing reminded me of a comedy sketch...youre sat there with your hair down looking like a woman while he's hacking chunks out of it. Meanwhile he's giving you a whole run down on the human annatomy. As funny as it was he's very clued up considering he doesn't use the internet. This guy must've learnt all that from books or the TV.
