I love how you rolled with the fail and even still made the top so pretty. That is certainly the way to do it since you can't always control the outcome but you can control your reaction to it. Lovely! And roses all the way! I have about five of them as tattoos so far!
My favorite soap design of the entire year was the tea and novels, and I am SO SHATTERED I missed the release and was not able to purchase one 😭 I would ADORE another release of these!! As a Bibliophile and a tea enthusiast, anything centered around the comfort of books, book nooks, cozy reading, and all things tea time just call to my soul! 💙💙

I think the soap still looks really pretty! I looove the colors. QOTD: I have a soft spot for sunflowers. I don't know how it came to be but I've always acosiated them with one of my first pet rats Luna (I know, kinda weird because her name means moon). She was such a wonderful little creature and though I only got to spend a little over a year with her she was and still is so special to me

I'm so excited about the permanent soaps! I loved the succulent planter one when you made it and I was so sad I missed the opportunity to order it! I love roses. They aren't necessarily my favorite flower, but the woman who owned my parents' house before they did planted 100 rosebushes, so I grew up admiring their delicate, layered flowers.
So excited I skipped to the end... those colours are great, easy to imagine how amazing the actual swirl would look. :) QOTD: Roses, absolutely. I used to grow my own little bed of them at my grandparents' place when I was a teen.

I had a batch go thick like that and I just took a spoon to it and rolled it a couple times in the loaf and it actually turned out great. Was surprised tbh. Hanger swirl would likely work too.
I made an amazing fire and brimstone soap from a batch that went thick on me in like .02 seconds. I thought it was gonna be a complete failure but it ended up being one of my favs!
12:28 the pink, lavender, beige, cream like appearance with the toppings on top looking like pearls gets me beautiful pastel vibes, so soothing and cute. ✨💜🌸

What was supposed to be a relaxing day turned very stressful, but when I got home I was able to watch this new soap while I cooked and ate dinner. Definitely roses. And I love the changes, going to miss the extra video but it's understandable. The only thing I think you need in the monthly restock collection is a sensitive skin soap, maybe a milk/calendula...I know that I can't wait to get my bar of Honey soap in this week🤗

Purples green and gold on top? Looks like a floral Mardi Gras soap! Love it! Also, I only like the teeny tiny roses. I'm not a big fan of the big ones. I'd have to pick sunflowers, because they are the closest option to daisies or cosmos which are two of my favs.
QOTD: it really depends on the situation. Typically scent wise I would prefer sunflowers because so many rose scents just smell like old lady. I adore blue roses and the super bright pink roses.

I'm so glad to hear that the lily pond soap is going to have a permanent place, I love the gardenia scent, it's just so appealing but I've only ever had it in a sample size but I fell in love. This soap is kinda pretty, I like sunflowers more, I'm something of a Van Gogh fan so sunflowers are close to my heart. Also my great grandmother and my grandmother on my mom's side both did sunflower paintings and I just think that is really cool. I'm happy to hear that you are dialing it back on weekly uploads. I've been wondering how you managed and it turns out that you just hide it and that's never healthy. the way you have shown the names and colour when adding the mica was well done, I love how clear to see the colour names were and really appreciated the coloured box in the spectrum of the colour that the mica will become and not nessasarily the colour of the mica/soap before it has finished curing

Easy peasy answer…..Sunflowers!!🌻🌻 My love for them developed from my childhood, when my Mom use to sing “you are my sunshine” to me all the time. The song reminds me of Sunflowers and has now turned into a sweet moment and saying I share with my Mom as an adult. AND as such sunflowers will be added into my fall wedding 🌻💍🥰
Hey Katie, french soap enthusiast here 🥺 this paper game is called a "cadavre exquis" here, and it was created by the Surrealists painters, authors, etc. There's lots of really fun alternatives you might want to check out, with drawings for example ! Also, congrats on the colour scheme of this soap, that gold is soooo pretty 😍

OMG OMG OMG I love that you're mentioning painting the roses red because after you did that Alice in wonderland series I sent you a design for a painting the roses red soap which ironically didn't have much red in it most of it was like brown for the base and then the frosting with green to be the rose bushes and it had these little 🌹 imbeds which were white and painted red as in the song so you know and the only other design I sent you was at the same time and it was a Neapolitan Sundae soap

My husband and I started doing a fancy family dinner party (flowers, candles, fancy dresses and ties) for Valentine’s Day. He and I may or may not go out another day but we found the kids just LOVED making it about family.

So, I was one of the weird kids that never read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. I read If You Give a Moose a Muffin. That and Crow and Weasel were two of my favorite books growing up. Also a cute little book that my mom would read with me called But No Elephants! Anyway, it's lovely to hear the little tidbits about your family and how you spend your time outside of soap making. I love roses and David Austin is a genius. I have 3 of his bushes and my English Roses bloom all spring, summer and fall! I have a passion for Iris flowers as well and I have I think approximately 30 diffrent colors and my husband loves Daylilies and we oodles of them as well. We also have Oriental Lilies of several different colors. The goal next fall is to add Tulips and Daffodils. We love flowers and the upkeep of 8-9 flower beds is enormous! This doap reminds me of all the glorious blooms we have during the warm months. Unfortunately Lavender isn't my favorite fragrance, but I know why you picked it. It is a favorite of many people!!! We all need to have Katie's wonderful infectious positive attitude!!! I have had that issue with colder oils before. Colors are really lovely! I use to live in Illinois years back and they grew Sunflowers in the fields. So beautiful, big, bold, and bright. Sunflowers have always been my favorite. They make me smile🌻
Definitely ROSES!! Although fields of sunflowers are beautiful, just everything about roses is beautiful, the look, the smell, the rosehips, the petals, just everything. Never have I heard of" give a mouse a cookie" and I have 3 kids that are all adults now. This soap reminds me of neopolatin ice cream. All the bits all curled up with each other or mixed flavors like pistachio, lemon, orange. Mint, just a bunch of flavors swirled and yummy.
I love when you chat a bunch! It’s like hanging out with a friend that I don’t actually have any of 😂. That sounds horribly sad saying out loud haha. Social anxiety though. But honestly. You’re so fun and comforting. You always brighten my day. Always so optimistic and encouraging. You make me want to be and do so much better

Roses over sunflowers! But I do love daffodils. I used to not care for them but I live in a place now where they occur (seemingly) naturally. And EVERY spring, just after the cold has been lasting too long and the trees look a little too dead, those daffodils pop right up! Vibrant spots of color surprise speckled in my downtown, brick building, neighborhood! And at just the right time when we all need to see some new life 🥰
QOTD of those two, I prefer roses. The first time as a kid my mom let me pick out a plant for our garden, I picked an iceberg rose, so I have a sentimental attachment now. I love all the color variations roses can have... and a rosebush can make a break-in deterrent when planted underneath a ground level window! 😁

Katie, thank you so much for your videos. I've been feeling sick lately and recently started using your soaps for hands and body and lemme say: what a mood lifter! I'm a frequent hand washer and usually think nothing of the soaps I use. They're often a bit drying and don't really lather well unless you use a TON. Again, soap wasn't really on my mind. Then I started using yours and MAN! It's such a small quality of life change, but makes a HUGE difference to me. Each time I use them, whether I'm having a down day or just feeling overall bleh; they lift up my mood each time with such lovely smells and feel! Plus, they don't dry out my hands all that much like other liquid/bar soaps do! Even my husband is enjoying the benefits of the soaps. Thank you so much for your hard work!

QOTD: My flowers used to be sunflowers, but before my sibling passed last year I planted four english tea rose bushes in my garden that he wanted to help me with. He never got to help me because something really bad happened and unfortunately he was killed. BUT!!! ....In the northeast where there was a snowstorm in the very beginning of January and all my roses had open blooms, amidst 2 feet of snow. They just kept growing regardless of snow and cold. I think it created a very nice touching memory for me and Id like to think that perhaps my brother did help me after all? So from now on I love roses. 😊❤👍🌸🌸🌸❄❄❄

I love watching you make soap. You are always up beat and you challenge soap making with a positive sense of humour. That said, I'm not crazy about the frosted bars. Don't get me wrong. They are pretty. I just prefer the low profile ones. Note: I can't frost cup cakes, so no way can I frost soap 😅 I stumbled on to ur soap making when youtubin beginning soap making. Like I said. ❤ your attitude. I been gearing up to make soap all winter. (I have a cockatoo, they cannot be around smelly stuff. I have not burnt a candle or defussed anything for 3 yrs. As it could kill him.) so will have to convert my gardening shed into a soap shed in the summer. I live in Minnesota. I'm a retired medical/health care worker I use to work in a clean room acid etching parts for pace makers. I know how dangerous chemical fumes can be. One time we ended up evacuating the building (800+ employee) cuz one of our hood vents stopped working. 😎 oops Be safe and keep positive. Don't stop being you.
I love that you had those soaps in your shop. I bought several. I am partial to anything jasmine. It is the only flower I know my husband enjoys and doesn't sneeze. So excited to use them. Sharing them with my daughter.

This soap represents my beginning of 2022 the first I was flooded, to no heat the next day due to flooding got into furnace, the snow storm which also caused my power to go off, then the breakers went bad so back to no power: I live in KY where the weather changes faster than a clock changes seconds. Hopeimg for a better 2022 and I still liked the soap.

I'm jealous! I'm in southern Texas and it's been in the 70's and 80's 🤣🤣 just moved here from the east coast and am missing the cold!

I am, however, a huge fan of Black Tulips. Pictures don't do them justice.

I love roses. They aren't necessarily my favorite flower, but the woman who owned my parents' house before they did planted 100 rosebushes, so I grew up admiring their delicate, layered flowers.
So excited I skipped to the end... those colours are great, easy to imagine how amazing the actual swirl would look. :)

I had a batch go thick like that and I just took a spoon to it and rolled it a couple times in the loaf and it actually turned out great. Was surprised tbh. Hanger swirl would likely work too.
I made an amazing fire and brimstone soap from a batch that went thick on me in like .02 seconds. I thought it was gonna be a complete failure but it ended up being one of my favs!
12:28 the pink, lavender, beige, cream like appearance with the toppings on top looking like pearls gets me beautiful pastel vibes, so soothing and cute. ✨💜🌸

Definitely roses. And I love the changes, going to miss the extra video but it's understandable. The only thing I think you need in the monthly restock collection is a sensitive skin soap, maybe a milk/calendula...I know that I can't wait to get my bar of Honey soap in this week🤗
I'm going to miss watching 2 videos a week however, I am thrilled that you are moving to a sustainable schedule. No one wants you to burn out! I'm a sunflower person, ours grew 2 stories tall last summer!

Also, I only like the teeny tiny roses. I'm not a big fan of the big ones. I'd have to pick sunflowers, because they are the closest option to daisies or cosmos which are two of my favs.

QOTD: it really depends on the situation. Typically scent wise I would prefer sunflowers because so many rose scents just smell like old lady. I adore blue roses and the super bright pink roses.

I'm so glad to hear that the lily pond soap is going to have a permanent place, I love the gardenia scent, it's just so appealing but I've only ever had it in a sample size but I fell in love.
This soap is kinda pretty, I like sunflowers more, I'm something of a Van Gogh fan so sunflowers are close to my heart.
Also my great grandmother and my grandmother on my mom's side both did sunflower paintings and I just think that is really cool.

the way you have shown the names and colour when adding the mica was well done, I love how clear to see the colour names were and really appreciated the coloured box in the spectrum of the colour that the mica will become and not nessasarily the colour of the mica/soap before it has finished curing

Easy peasy answer…..Sunflowers!!🌻🌻 My love for them developed from my childhood, when my Mom use to sing “you are my sunshine” to me all the time. The song reminds me of Sunflowers and has now turned into a sweet moment and saying I share with my Mom as an adult. AND as such sunflowers will be added into my fall wedding 🌻💍🥰

Hey Katie, french soap enthusiast here 🥺 this paper game is called a "cadavre exquis" here, and it was created by the Surrealists painters, authors, etc. There's lots of really fun alternatives you might want to check out, with drawings for example !

OMG OMG OMG I love that you're mentioning painting the roses red because after you did that Alice in wonderland series I sent you a design for a painting the roses red soap which ironically didn't have much red in it most of it was like brown for the base and then the frosting with green to be the rose bushes and it had these little 🌹 imbeds which were white and painted red as in the song so you know and the only other design I sent you was at the same time and it was a Neapolitan Sundae soap
And yes! “When You Give A Mouse A Cookie” is a classic! I liked it and of course all 3 of my children!

My husband and I started doing a fancy family dinner party (flowers, candles, fancy dresses and ties) for Valentine’s Day. He and I may or may not go out another day but we found the kids just LOVED making it about family.

So, I was one of the weird kids that never read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. I read If You Give a Moose a Muffin. That and Crow and Weasel were two of my favorite books growing up. Also a cute little book that my mom would read with me called But No Elephants!

I love roses and David Austin is a genius. I have 3 of his bushes and my English Roses bloom all spring, summer and fall! I have a passion for Iris flowers as well and I have I think approximately 30 diffrent colors and my husband loves Daylilies and we oodles of them as well. We also have Oriental Lilies of several different colors. The goal next fall is to add Tulips and Daffodils. We love flowers and the upkeep of 8-9 flower beds is enormous!
This doap reminds me of all the glorious blooms we have during the warm months. Unfortunately Lavender isn't my favorite fragrance, but I know why you picked it. It is a favorite of many people!!!

I use to live in Illinois years back and they grew Sunflowers in the fields. So beautiful, big, bold, and bright. Sunflowers have always been my favorite. They make me smile🌻
Definitely ROSES!! Although fields of sunflowers are beautiful, just everything about roses is beautiful, the look, the smell, the rosehips, the petals, just everything. Never have I heard of" give a mouse a cookie" and I have 3 kids that are all adults now. This soap reminds me of neopolatin ice cream. All the bits all curled up with each other or mixed flavors like pistachio, lemon, orange. Mint, just a bunch of flavors swirled and yummy.
I love when you chat a bunch! It’s like hanging out with a friend that I don’t actually have any of 😂. That sounds horribly sad saying out loud haha. Social anxiety though. But honestly. You’re so fun and comforting. You always brighten my day. Always so optimistic and encouraging. You make me want to be and do so much better

But I do love daffodils. I used to not care for them but I live in a place now where they occur (seemingly) naturally. And EVERY spring, just after the cold has been lasting too long and the trees look a little too dead, those daffodils pop right up! Vibrant spots of color surprise speckled in my downtown, brick building, neighborhood! And at just the right time when we all need to see some new life 🥰

QOTD of those two, I prefer roses. The first time as a kid my mom let me pick out a plant for our garden, I picked an iceberg rose, so I have a sentimental attachment now. I love all the color variations roses can have... and a rosebush can make a break-in deterrent when planted underneath a ground level window! 😁

Katie, thank you so much for your videos. I've been feeling sick lately and recently started using your soaps for hands and body and lemme say: what a mood lifter! I'm a frequent hand washer and usually think nothing of the soaps I use. They're often a bit drying and don't really lather well unless you use a TON. Again, soap wasn't really on my mind. Then I started using yours and MAN! It's such a small quality of life change, but makes a HUGE difference to me. Each time I use them, whether I'm having a down day or just feeling overall bleh; they lift up my mood each time with such lovely smells and feel! Plus, they don't dry out my hands all that much like other liquid/bar soaps do! Even my husband is enjoying the benefits of the soaps. Thank you so much for your hard work!

God sure knew what He was doing when He created plants and pretty flowers, now didn't He?! Thank God for God, I say!

I really like the layers is this one. I prefer the blobs and the shapes in this one compared to the flame looking shape that comes out of there’s. Love the colours and the top is to die for. Love your content. I also love your queen of hearts soap! Adorable.

QOTD: My flowers used to be sunflowers, but before my sibling passed last year I planted four english tea rose bushes in my garden that he wanted to help me with. He never got to help me because something really bad happened and unfortunately he was killed. BUT!!! ....In the northeast where there was a snowstorm in the very beginning of January and all my roses had open blooms, amidst 2 feet of snow. They just kept growing regardless of snow and cold. I think it created a very nice touching memory for me and Id like to think that perhaps my brother did help me after all? So from now on I love roses. 😊❤👍🌸🌸🌸❄❄❄

That said, I'm not crazy about the frosted bars. Don't get me wrong. They are pretty. I just prefer the low profile ones. Note: I can't frost cup cakes, so no way can I frost soap 😅

I'm a retired medical/health care worker I use to work in a clean room acid etching parts for pace makers. I know how dangerous chemical fumes can be. One time we ended up evacuating the building (800+ employee) cuz one of our hood vents stopped working. 😎 oops

I love that you had those soaps in your shop. I bought several. I am partial to anything jasmine. It is the only flower I know my husband enjoys and doesn't sneeze. So excited to use them. Sharing them with my daughter.
The top of this soap and the colors scream Tangled to me. Red sunflowers are my jam, had them and Gerber daisies for my wedding flowers.

This soap represents my beginning of 2022 the first I was flooded, to no heat the next day due to flooding got into furnace, the snow storm which also caused my power to go off, then the breakers went bad so back to no power: I live in KY where the weather changes faster than a clock changes seconds. Hopeimg for a better 2022 and I still liked the soap.

roses, just all roses including red roses, i know i know how basic. but reds my ultimate favorite color and i just think red roses are the most romantic thing u can give to someone special!!

I love roses for the smell but also love sunflowers because they remind me of my older brother who passed away last January from Cancer at 54. Plus I can feed sunflower seeds to my chickens!
