Another factor is that those boots are not yet broken in. It's probably much easier to dance in once they've sweated in them and the shoes have molded to their feet from the body heat

The sad reality is that if they got rid of the DCC, the Cowboys would still sell out each game. Most fans pay to watch football at the games. The players are the cash cows which is why they're paid accordingly. Seven NFL teams don't have cheerleaders and they still sell out their games. Notwithstanding that, I do feel the DCC should be paid more than what they currently make.

I clicked on this not knowing what it was about. I am a bit surprised that they want them to perform like the Rockettes but don't pay them in these training camps and then only pay them 150.00 a week. I did the math and for the season thats 2,550.00. Gameday is probably a 5 hour day and I'm sure they have practice 1 or 2 times week. Why do they do this for the peanuts they pay them. My brother is good friends with the Jaguars mascot, when he started 20 years ago he was working his full time job while doing this on Sunday a couple years later he made the mascot his only job. He makes over 100,000 a year and it changes yearly usually depending how the team is doing and what tricks he does. For example he has a zip line entrance from the top of the lights to the field for that trick he gets paid 10,000 the stadium has to be at a certain occupancy to do that trick. He had the mascot's website and 5 years ago he retired and probably won't have to work for the rest of his life. If that seems crazy so do I. NFL cheerleaders need to get paid more if they want this kind of performance the Rockettes make 1500.00 a week and only work 24 weeks a year plus they get year round health insurance. If radio city can pay that much the NFL surely can.

How could you have a dream to be on the Dallas Cheer Squad and not ever had cowboy boots on until freaking week 7 of tryouts? I’m just asking the question every wants an answer to.
Doesn’t everyone know boots need to be broken in? I know they do. Even though my boots were not on the football field, they were danced in all throughout the 90’s on Country Dance Floors. Never wore new boots straight to dance. Walk around the house for several days first. It’s not rocket science! 😂

typically the dance boots dcc uses and dance teams in general, are a lot different from real cowboy boots. if you want to order dance boots you have to go to a specialty store and are very expensive if ur only ordering one pair. also a lot of them probably assume it just feels like a tennis shoe or something but they do have a quite a bit of weight to them

However I can still see how it can be valuable when what you do is so military precise. I am somewhat surprised on how many ladies have never even worn a pair of cowboy boots👢.. I feel like IF your ENTIRE LIFE Your whole DREAM is to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. Maybe you should've already at least WORN a pair of cowboy boots 👢 🤔 ??? Kinda be prepared??
    IDK 🤷🏽
I own several pairs of boots 👢 and Love them😍🥰!! I can understand getting used to dancing in them. Adjusting weight distribution and getting used to the heel.. but you should've at LEAST worn a pair of cowboy 👢 boots... tried dancing in them. etc Don't ya think??
Now I'm not saying this to be mean. These gals work REALLY REALLY HARD to get where they are at. The job they want is a low pay, high demand gig....I couldn't do it. I have alot of Admiration and Respect for these young Ladies...
BUT, IF I were working on getting onto the squad... I would really really really want to have an edge over the other girls 😉.. So, I would've bought a pair of 👢boots and been at home practicing in them. Maybe I'm just weird.. actually I KNOW I'm weird. 😘 Still super curious as to WHY alot of these ladies have never even wore a cowboy boot 2👢.🤷🏽

Yeah I agree, you'd definitely make sure that you dance and kick in boots before you go to the auditions.

As someone who trained in pointe, hearing Kelly say toe shoes made me sad

Why did it make you sad? Even instructors and pro Ballerinas called them toe shoes back in the day.

Ahhhhh to have you self worth evaluated by your ‘sexiness’. What are we teaching our girls.

@6:25 - I was in the UTA marching band when DCC was there. We had to find a new rehearsal space at the last minute.

Love them. They know it or get cut. Any professional Athlete knows it or goes home.
