@@BeStrongArmwrestling at 11:30 where was the elbow foul, i couldnt see it from this angle. It looked more like the Quebec athlete didn't like the set up he was getting / he was moving in refs grip and he wasn't ready for the go. Hard to hear the go on camera with Kelly so loud beside you haha
@@BeStrongArmwrestling and i agree with you, that false start called on Porkchop was bullshit. saw it from 2 angles live and now your perspective as well, and i still cant see it. Eugene Bezhadar was streaming all of nationals on IG.
@@JoeNelo ok im being hard on the refs it is hard job but it was clearly elbow foul on lietch of the start and even his elbow seemed to be of the front on the start. in referess grip the way they align the webbing is important and some refs dont seem to get webbing and lever lengths. and for elbow fouls we need 2 down refs that are not blocking the view for the audience and the head ref should be the only one doing the refs grip/straps starts.. like wal
@@BeStrongArmwrestling I keep restarting and watching it in slow mo. i think you might be right but that pin line pole is kinda in the way. the elbow was at the front, i dont see it go off the front, but an extremely well known referee put me in my place in december and said, You don't have a better view than the referee at the table. So I have to trust that the refs had a better view that i do from my computer. Totally agree about the webbing etc... i suspect Dustin used his experience to gain what he needed, can't say i wouldn't do the same thing. More consistency from the referees would be good... It would stop me from having to study the referees as well. You know what i would love to see: better camera angles and replays for reviews and promo. The winners of nationals should get their entry, flight and hotel paid for worlds when they win. If they don't go to worlds it is offered to the second place finisher. With 900 entries this is definitely possible. We did this in Taekwondo + more. More people will come out to compete, and it will be super competitive. The organizer of the event will still make money, and the athletes will be taken care of. It will push our sport in Canada so much further. We don't need cash prizes, we need incentives to win and take it further.
Looked to me like his opponent was doing a bit of loading especially supinating way before the go in a refs grip. Sometimes the refs pressure will be enough for someone to load against. So if your opponent is loaded against the ref and you're doing what you're supposed to and just letting the refs set your hands in a fair position. When he pulls his hands off and says go it feels like getting hit by a bus.
oleh is a beast, we need to see him at evw soon
11:30 and 6:42 was the worst reffed match ive seen in awhile. cawf has to hire better refs !! i feel bad for the athletes affected.

As a master referee, I agree.
