If Netflix makes RAW 3 hours, and USA makes Smackdown 3 hours that's gonna be rough. I agree with Andy. I'm not interested in another three hour show. The positive is there's another hour of TV to get more exposure to some of the wrestlers who may not get much of any time.
It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that people at WWE are upset. You can’t pull punches with things like this though. Vince has done horrendous things and deserves to be called out for it. If WWE doesn’t like that then maybe Vince should’ve used his brain and not abused his position of power
My heart breaks for you gentlemen to have to sit and comfortably watch WWE than act like goobers on camera talking about WWE while staking in the money for watching and commenting on WWE whilst also tearing apart the man who created it so you could have this luxurious plush job. Speaking from someone who works 50 plus hours a week in a hot nasty welding shop, I welcome the extra hour of WWE. Wait, it just clicked for me. If Netflix does a documentary on the bad side of the guy that has owned and can be culturally connected to the wwe, is that going to effect the viewers who watched it to not wanting anything to do with wwe?
If they wanted eyes on it, then this isn't the way, lol. The reports about this are only going to get the hardcore wrestling fan to watch it. They want and need casual viewer to watch it. Hopefully, cancel culture will see the documentary.
Yeah, not sure that this doc will really be worth watching. Probably will be a good 10 years or more before a truly definitive documentary can be made about this.

I hear people on Whatculture say WWE needs to push X, Y, or Z wrestlers all the time, but how are they to do that? They have limited time and soooo many athletes under contract. It's either up the TV time (and possibly add another midcard belt.. for storylines) or stop pushing someone else. Who would you have them stop pushing to let all these new people have time??
That’s crazy cause the worst Vince looks his former employees under his regime are gonna catch backlash aswell cause they could’ve knew and kept it a secret
They would have known somethings, unsure what and how much but they would. Triple h and steph part of the investigation that didn't speak to victims, could argue looked the other way. Anyone that knew and did nothing is just as bad. He would have known Vince and Linda had been living apart for however long, he would have known he was up to something.
If you told me in 2015-2020 that Smackdown was going 3 hours, I'd have hated it... however, Papa H is COOKIN and the product is currently as good as its been in over a decade
I wonder if the people in WWE who are pissed about the McMahon documentary are the same people who were on board with "The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior"?
I can definitely see why WWE would be pissed with Netflix, McMahon is intrinsically tied to WWE, so there's always the potential for backlash against the brand when the public finds out what sort of degenerate McMahon is. That being said, there is the old adage that "There's no bad publicity". Maybe McMahon being exposed and buried will get people curious about the product, people do love a spectacle and McMahon was a spectacularly trashy billionaire. That being said, if I was about to start a partnership with a new company I would prefer them not to roast and bury the person most associated with my brand.
This Vince Doc needs to happen. Yes people in WWE are going to be mad, but this should have never gotten this far. Vince made his bed and needs to lay in it. In the long wrong, it won't hurt the WWE as a whole, because they have been doing their best to wash their hands of Vince. I'd rather see Smackdown stay 2 hours, but if WWE and USA both agree to this, they are going to do it. While we've seen improvement on RAW being 3 hours lately, it's better to be 2. Also, RAW's third hour always brings the ratings down. I don't want Smackdown to go that same path.
Honestly the whole Vince McMahon documentary will provide a pattern of behavior he has exhibited his entire life, and will end off with what they can legally cover about the grant lawsuit, and let the audience decide for themselves if he is guilty or innocent, but his legal team will be able to claim that any jury pool is tainted by this documentary.
An extra hour of Smackdown is great news for wrestling fans, more matches, better quality matches than can go longer and also means under utilized talent can get some TV time. I don't know why so many people including what culture are against this extra 1hr, if you're a proper wrestling fan then this is more wrestling on TV what's the problem? Or does your wife not like you watching wrestling?
Janel in that doc would have been wild. Would have immediately opened her up to a defamation suit, but would've sent that doc to the moon lol I'm sure she'll take part in a Part 2 or some other doc after the lawsuit. Can't make claims on an ongoing case though, and I'm absolutely sure she knows better.
This is next level counterproductive why spend 5 billion dollars on programming and then promote a documentary slamming the promotion that provides the programming. If the mindset is look at how good the promotion got post Vince McMahon I might see the points to me it would make more sense if they spent the money to produce that documentary just sell the documentary to another streaming service
