Q1 from the table
1. Annual range of temp
= max temp - min temp
36.2 - 12.0 = 24.2
2. Total rainfall = 112.5 cm
3. This is so because the place has high annual range of temp
Q2 give reasons
1. Kanpur is in the interior region of the continent . Thus experiences a continental type of climate i.e too hot in summer and too cold in winter
2. Kochi is warmer and more closer to the equator and receives more direct solar radiations throughout the year
3. Ganga Plain lies in North India and South west monsoon wind first strikes the west coast of India before north india
Total rainfall will be 112.95cm bro
I think gangetic plains receive rain fall from bay of bengal region so it doesn’t strike the west coast as it enters from the east so it takes time for the rain to reach there
And it strikes the northeastern coast not the western coast

A2) (i) Kanpur lies in the interior, far from moderating effect of the sea.
(ii) Kochi is warmer because it is closer to the equator than Mumbai.
(iii)That is because the monsoon winds come to India from the south west and so reach the west coast before it can reach the Ganga plain .
Wrong the gangetic plains receives rainfall from the bay of bengal branch of South West monsoon wind which usually arrives late as compared to the arabian branch to the Western Ghats.

Retreating monsoon winds and winter winds are same as they both hit the coromendal coast if not so....then they both strick with coromendal coast twice...then there will be rain in the staring of winter season. ..and again in middle of winter season...!

@Amplify Learning - with Alok sir does loo flow from region of high pressure on land to region of low pressure in land? Like other winds
Every winds flows from high pressure to low pressure area. Loo are local winds, they also follow the same rule. It's just that loo are locally flowing hot winds during Summers. They don't travel very large distances.
