The Slaws are out on a motorhome pub stopover at The Hanging Gate in Chapel en le Frith in Derbyshire in Helga their Hobby motorhome with Billy and Jessie their Lhasa Apso dogs.

Before they retire to the pub for a great meal, they take on a very muddy walk around Combs reservoir. It's a bit too far for Billy and he hitches a ride in his Kurgo G-train backpack. It’s got that bad this winter/spring that we bought a portable Karcher power washer for our dogs. Just sits in the back of the car ready for washing them off when needed. Works a treat when there’s no river to wash them off.

I recommend you try the pub stopover at The Stonetrough in Kelbrook Lancashire BB18 6XY. Small charge for motorhome overnight stay but an excellent breakfast for 2 included in the price. Perfect for local walks and exploring Pendle.

If you’ve not had one before you have no idea what to expect or what to compare it with, unless you hired one first? We’re on our third now and we know what we want and what we can compromise on.
