as a welder I saw that you're welding without a nozzel on the actual gun. it helps with the gas distribution to keep welds clear of porosity and problems with the weld. Other than that I love that you're looking to find a way to enjoy the sport sustainably.
Safety suggestions: Get rid of the cotton shirt. That's VERY flammable! Purchase a cheap set of welding sleeves, or leather. Adjust your layers properly. Any spark hitting your body will roll down thanks to gravity. Tuck your gloves into your sleeves, and any metal that hits will roll down and away from your hands. The bell on the welding gloves will catch the hot sparks right on your wrist. Love your ideas to ♻️! Keep up the great ideas.

Thanks for the suggestions! I read somewhere that 100% cotton was good for welding. I'll adjust accordingly!
