Appreciate the feedback and love ❤Killing it as always with the quality content!
Also, i have been looking at recycled fore the new flight!
Dont love the 7502 (flight nr) nomelry but a little more beat in from the box! 😏
Send royalties for his expertise.
I'm assuming these are recycled in production - do you have any plans to produce post-consumer recycled discs in the future?
“Local homies” 😂
Yo Kyle is goated for that double recycled call ♻♻
for real that was insane
I really hope Discraft reciprocates the love! Having followed this channel since Jesse started in his garage. I really hoped other companies would catch on to this movement and here we are!!! Great review and excited to see what other manufacturers jump on board with making sustainable products for us all to enjoy throwing around the world!!! Congrats Jesse and Team Trash Panda!!!! ❤
JMILLY MENTIONED 🦅🦅🦅
Your team from what I've seen so far is basically 25-35 year old Coloradan starter pack
This group seems to have the best personalities ever. I gotta try your discs for that reason alone.
i pulled the trigger and got an inner core and holy shit I've been missing out... its so damn good lol
@@highupproductions9505 base line inner core is the best straight flyer I have
@@highupproductions9505 thanks!
Love my dune and my Innercore!
The ending was hilarious with the “I forgot to record them” 😂. Great video though, I appreciate you taking the time to do this.
I was not ready for eagle to pop up, local homies was perfect
9:22 lol Eagle truly is a local homie.
I saw that ozone in your hand. What a tease
Tier 3 got em in their hands as well 😉
Just picked up a recycled Scorch and Buzzz. I haven't touched every disc but they feel like a slightly lesser, slightly flexy or gummy version of my ESP discs, and they fly really nice!
The early look at the ozone was dope! 👌🏻 Great video as per usual guys 🌍🌎
Props for doing the compare and contrast Jesse, gotta grow that mindset...wondering if that was a foil stamp on the Discraft discs...just sayin...
The Discraft 100% is not as bright/visible. Most seem to be gray or less saturated than the normal ESP. This makes it harder to find. This leads to more lost discs. This leads to more disc being purchased. This leads to more plastic being used. The DUNE comes in very bright Orange. We need more discs in plastic like this. Brighter colors lead to less plastic being used.
Discraft's regular production has a big problem with that, as well. Can't tell you the number of discs I've seen at the local shop that were "grass green", "forest floor grey", or "autumn leaf brown" from Discraft. I can't imagine why they'd even use those colors, other than in hopes people would lose them...
I never had a hang up about using recycled plastic. I always felt it was a cost issue at the manufacturing level.
Another great video.
Love to see more of the big manufacturers using recycled plastics! Glad to hear these fly well, I haven't had a chance to pick up a recycled Zone yet. It's the only mold they run it in that I throw. Hey @discraftdiscgolf - how about some Recycled ESP Comets?! :D
Great video! Good to see recycled discs are getting a lot of traction.
I think Kyle can see through his blindfold. Just kidding 😂
I’m not at all saying anybody “cheated” but you could feel the stamp like Kyle did and totally know. lol At any rate, it’s cool that Discraft is doing 100%.
💯
I’m obsessed with the new logo
Trilogy recycle plastic has always been 100% recylced plastic just as those discraft discs, so saying they are the first ones is not correct
So did Innova in late 2000's come out with Echo Star before pro's tour series discs if using Star were a mix of recycled and virgin plastic.
No one's gonna mention Eagle?
He’s just some local.
you mean the locals in the video? /s
Hi jesse 👋
Noticed the tattoo as well and then the shout out! That's awesome, love the love!
the recycled have a more matte finish. so to the touch, even though its such a small variance, you can feel it. almost like if you wiped the stamp, has that feel
I know you've worked with them before, but doesn't AGL also use some sorta fully recycled disc but I think they do use virgin additives again??? Wonder if you'll do a video on this?
You should look into the new bamboo pillets they have now.
Do you think there's a big difference in calling it recycled, when its kind of regrinding? Just curious on your thoughts :)
I agree. It sounds like it is not post consumer plastic, so although better than throwing out, 100% recycled is misleading I think.
The Discraft plastic should be called ‘reused’ or ‘reduced-waste plastic’.
Maybe they are just factory seconds...
Arguing semantics over something so pointless is...pointless.
@@derpderpin1568 im not complaining. Im just pondering and curious what/if anyone thinks theres a need to call it differently. Thats all. Im not trying to say theres a right or wrong.
Even in Swirly ESP, Plastic in some runs has textures like recycled ESP.
Used to be able to get some Echo Star for a short 6 year run where plastic was 100% recycled before Innova was using in some players tour discs for a recycled mix of virgin and regular plastic becuse Star is so expensive as a tour series disc for some molds. In how you showed drying, I now think Innova had an issue of going at a slightly higher temp then Star so plastic would mix the same as only using same drying time to Star so plastic was somewhere between Star and more durable runs of Pro and had a sort of pastel and lighter tone for most of the plastic.
Is the Discraft 100% recycled plastic just ground up discs? Or is it from a different source like the Trash Panda plastic?
I have a recycled innova destroyer, and it has the same dimple type thing on the rim
Just had to drop by and say that finnish company called Prodiscus has reused all the plastic from the beginning (2009) like discraft is now doing, they just havent made basicly no voice about regrinding all the bad ones in to a new discs.
For example shadow white plastic is regrinded premium and ultrium plastic :)
I actually prefer the discs with the slight texture around the top of the rim. Call it a drying 'flaw' if you want, but I hope companies keep doing it.
Yay Fly Green! Joe is the MAN!
I noticed the rim texture flaw on an older, particularly glossy ESP run of the Nuke SS. Not a fan of the hand feel or look
Does anybody know if any of the touring Pros are using these recycled discs? I would be really impressed if any of them would use a full bag, and hopefully demonstrate sucess in some tournaments. That would make quite the statement.
I don't think it will beat in more than the non recycled, the first loading occurs in the recycling phase instead of the tree hitting phase
So no idea if anyone at Trash Panda will see this, but my community is switching trash cans to ones that an automatic collection truck can use. Can we turn our old cans into discs? Which type of plastic can you use? Just hate seeing my small town create a mountain of old plastic trash cans in the landfill….
Go Kyle, for being a winner in a losing scenario.
@ryan I thought of you when they did this 6:16
So, half way through the video I was screaming, yes, but what about the flight!!! Then the second part of the video...
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Disc craft trying to catch the hype of trash panda
Nihilism
Lol... And comments like this are precisely why so many businesses have a "screw you" attitude. They make a product, people piss and moan that it isn't eco-friendly. So they make a completely eco-friendly version, and the same people piss and moan that they are trying to capitalize off someone else who did it earlier. Make up your mind what you want.
👀 is that J Milly?!?!
I love my Lat64 Explorer, but sadly it is to understable in the Gold Recycled Plastic. Way more than Gold Orbit
Random, but at @6:02 it's REALLy dumb that the recycled disc is blurred out in the thumbnail
Is discraft using recycled innova plastic? 😅
The trash can hit 😂
This is a commercial. Six sided discs also had a review of the same thing this week and used the same verbage (beats in quicker). No way discraft isn't suggesting talking points and phrases.
Every person ever talking about any recycled discs says that same thing about it feeling beat in, it is not unique to this run of discs
What you're describing is the description of recycled plastic discs because that's the reality. You're dumb.
This high pitched background noise really hurts me (during the intro)
2nd player is always better. Always throw the recycled one first.
“Feels like ESP”
I’m out. ESP is my least favorite premium plastic I have tried.
Hey Jesse I got a question about the gateway recycling molds...so they aren't 100% like Mr David McCormick the owner of gateway says,I bag only Gateway not much trash panda fans down here in Oklahoma,I'm originally from Denver my home course is the Badlands & I am in a club called badco I'm member #37 I also loved the old johnny Roberts course before the short short change up,thanks guys for all you do for our great sport!!!! 🐢✝️🥏
