Just bought a Tatula 200 by Diawa with a big spool, 30# V2 super slick casted perfect then changed up weight and stuff went side ways. Watched your video and got some tips that helped. Thank you! Brother in Christ...............
My favorite do it all setup uses a mono backer, braid main line, and fluorocarbon leader. The triple threat. HAHA. I enjoy your videos. New subscriber here. Keep it up young man.
Got my dad his first baitcast setup for Christmas. I brought line over and we set him up completely. In spring my ten year old son and I will teach him how to use it and get him some bass.
Amen! Great reading. Very helpful set up video! I'd like to say a prayer for folk that are right hand casters, that also wind with their right hand.... 😊
I don't get that. So dam silly. Especially now that all good baitcast reels come with left retrieve. My son is a lefty so his are all right retrieve and me being a righty use all left retrieve setups.
Jonathan Great video!!! You are an awesome teacher!!! Like how you explain & show how too do whatever your subject is!!!! I even picked up couple new tips. Great job Brother!!!! Happy New Year!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!! 🤠👍
God bless you to brother. Fishing is peace. No big house or car. I struck a beaut of a rainbow trout on my baitcaster set up yesterday In a local river system wher only bass are usua dominant That was what makes life special brother. See you in the here after
I put my braid through the holes in the spool and tie a knot so it can't slip. Tape is a good thing to use if you're tired of backlashing while flipping or pitching. Pull the amount of line out that you want to cast and wrap some tape around the spool of line and then reel in the casting line. Good luck practicing.
Thank you great information my frist baitcaster combo was a shakespeare and was glad to get a better one i would say if you can get a try to a baitcaster reel you can get some for around $ 50.00 dollar to me it really makes a difference
I did floro backing for braid on my baitcaster. First one ever and learned how with videos like this for setup and adjusting. Still working out not birdnesting so much with current lmao but I'm mostly there of not spending more time pulling out birdnest than fishing 😂 got a kastking Spartacus II
Spot on,😇 When fishing, and find a backlashing fisherman , 8 and heavy on spool tension. No thumbing or backlash.🤔Remind them this adjusment changes with every lure or rig you put on. Have no anxiety, god is in control, and he has a purpose for us, even while fishing.
I’ve never seen braid slipping on a reel. So many UA-cam channels repeat this. It reminds me of when people said if you spray Armor All on your car tires the wheel rim will slip. It never happens.
You can 100% tie braid directly to the spool but you need to know the technique and knots used. False info #1. Btw tape glue in a reel is not a good thing and a pain to clean out.
Most advanced anglers do not use a backing on a baitcaster false info #2. The way you spooled is not the best way to spool false info #3. Suggest a 20$ spooler to spool reels correctly. Amazon is your friend.
Gear ratio means nothing due to a shallow spool 8 ratio reel turns the same inches per turn as a standard spool 7 ratio reel. A 200 size reel in high 6 ratio will turn the same inches per turn as a standard 100 or 150 size 7 ratio reel often. Inches per turn is what's matters not the ratio. Common misconception and #4 false information.
Good stuff brother! Happy New Year! Keep spreading the Word!

use mono next time as braid backer. That's what most people do. 8 pound test works great.

for what now? 🤪

I’ve had it slip a few times before I started doing this, granted I flip a lot of grass and throw a ton of braid in heavy grass so that might be why
Amen brother
Amen
How are ARK reels?
You did not learncas the Flouo is the leader and the Braid the backing.
who actually spool without any tension?
