- Will this 1948 international KB5 dump truck run after sitting abandoned for 52 years
Will it run after 30 years
Will it run after 50 years
Will it run after 80 years
Will it run after 81 years
Will it run after 75 years
That old girl wasn't ready to quit just yet. She came right back to life.
Great determination in getting seemingly impossible vehicles to run again. That old dump truck needs to be restored and put in a museum, or put back to work on a farm.
or turned into a daily driver, im 19 i dont have a car but i would sure as hell put in the work to restore a truck like this and put miles on it
Or parked in a garden as yard art.
@@nitroxylictvuntil ya discovered that the top speed is 40mph, the poor motor is screaming, it can't get out of its own way, the brakes are purely hypothetical, it rides like a shopping cart, and gets 7mpg.
@@nitroxylictvI think the 70s and early 80s trucks are a good balance of daily driver and sheet metal. Currently drive my 83 c10 100 miles a day 5 days a week. Did a complete overhaul on it and on a budget
Biggest kick out of this video was not just that ole girl moving back & forth but seeing that old cable dump bed working...just amazing what old iron will still do!👍
_NICE_ to see her crawl OUT of her own tracks, even on those OLD & Beat tires
simply _Amazing_ the tranny is in such good shape
Amazing, never thought the bed would operate, I am beyond impressed
me too
You never cease to amazing me! Not only do you find neat old trucks, but you usually succeed in getting them to run too! Some day I hope to find a lonely old forgotten beauty and am able to restore it. Great videos, love 'em!!! Thank you for all your hard work and time put into making these videos for us to watch.
Post want ads stating you're looking for an old truck as a father son/daughter/ grandchild project, gets them every time
0:54 ❤❤🎉😅 1:04
This truck is begging to be restored! The engine sounds amazing and she still moves!
You, my friend, are my favorite UA-cam car person.
More Cuda videos too!
I love the TP oil filter! Those beasts will still run in 100 years. They don't build trucks like that anymore. Good work.
Most definitely, the junk they make nowadays are near impossible to work on yourself, and are more or less disposable I guess you could say. Heck most times the part along with the labor costs more than what the car is worth. Nothing today but plastic garbage underneath recycled beer cans.
@@dispatch444 thats i believe people should be driving these old vehicles or fully mechanical cars instead of these new efi computers on wheels. you dont need apple car play and a massage chair and you dont need to go 200+ mph to drive a few miles down the road to work. its to go from a to b. i guess people were more humble back then and didnt need much. people these days want a literal living room to drive around in with tv screens and recliners and all kinds of other useless features.
@@nitroxylictv most definitely 💯, and much more reliable.
I'm not surprised at what this man achieves anymore but I'm still amazed as all hell
I have a soft spot for vintage International trucks. I'm so glad that you brought that old gal back to life.
Outstanding young man 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Makes my heart warm to heat an old KB run again. My uncle's Dad had an old hey hauler with straight pipes made from plumbing pipe. Only veh I ever saw that would rap the pipes before it started being pull started. Could hear that thing for five miles! Every body knew when the Redimonty Trk was hauling what ever!
We had a KB6 With a 2spd diff, 5x4, and overhead valves. Great running, easy to Dr as a kid. Stake bed would haul anything! Almost. Impossible to get stuck, pulled everybody else out!
I love that sound from its first start where its spitting and stumbling as it slowly evens out an starts running good 👌
I never get notified about your content there guy, and I have the notifications on. I just happened to spot this scrolling.
Same
I'm hoping your channel takes off soon, you deserve it for the things you bring back to life
Great to see you got another piece of history running again. I live in the same area as you and often see old vehicles sittingin fields, barns and sheds that deserve to have a second chance at life. Im glad to know someone is taking the initiative. God bless.
Excellent! She's a runner! Follow-up video?
There will probably be a follow up video on this one and the 38 dodge dump truck just trying to find tires that are not too expensive last truck I put tires on it was about 500 plus each
@jenningsmotorsports7554 Thanks! Your work on getting these ol' vehicles up and running is A+!
Love the sound of those old 6 cylinder engines.
Absolutely, like good music or even better
@whitecrank I love the sound if that cranking!
Absolutely awesome!!! She's purring and works great!! Damn I love it! Cannot get enough damn and the lift works??? Forget about it!! Dude you're amazing!! Great great job!!
She runs great, amazing how these old units can be brought back to life without any rebuild. I’d put tires, brakes and maybe some windows in it and daily drive it
What's amazing to me is that you have like a 97% success rate getting these old crusty work trucks (and cars!!) going. I love it!! Great stuff as per usual.
I enjoy ALL your videos it's like watching MacGyver work on old trucks . The only suggestion I really have is I would like to see some updates. Especially on the 28 GMC !!! Love your channel and keep up the good work.
He sounds like Mr. Mackey and I love it so much lol. This guys channel is the best. I've learned so much watching him.
Okay, that front brush guard is kinda Mad Max cool.
Always fun to watch these old trucks fire up. This one seemed to go a lot easier than some of them.
Really enjoy these videos! I appreciate the time it takes, the skinned knuckles when a wrench slips and rat nest in the face when you pressure wash…😊 Thanks for good solid informative entertainment. 🙌🏻
Been there and it sucks when it happens. After a few choice words go right back to wrenching. That is once you find the wrench you launched into orbit during those choice words.
Another amazing find.
MAN, those engines do run well. I am always SO impressed- at how well they start & run .... yet, they're _SO Old_
and Most of those vehicles run with the (mostly) _Original Hardware_ (no major engine rebuild At ALL)
I have to say im honestly not surprised to see an old IH come back to life like that. First in line to rust, last in line to quit running 😊
I love the tips as you go along in these ''older'' videos man.
Talking about the coil and just sharing what you might've learned. It's good stuff.
Greetings from Northern Europe
You amaze me being so young yet knowing so much about old cars and trucks.
You are a fantastic guy, I appreciate your optimism and good mood, I guess the old vehicles "feel" that too and they all cooperate with you, they do their best to give you the joy of seeing them wake up from very long, deep sleep...very good videos, thank you. By the way, the old IH trucks are my favourite ones because of their durability, smooth running engines and, of course, their pretty stile. What a design! Greetings to you from Santa Catarina State, Southern Brazil.
Really, really well done! You give me hope.
I love watching these videos, me and my grandpa are currently working on a 1950 Dodge Coronet with a 57 Plymouth Flat 230 Flat six in her, about to swap the tranny from the one she got now to one off a 50' Meadowbrook. Keep on keeping on because these bring me joy.
I really enjoy your videos and always am excited when a new one comes out. I always watch right away. It's impressive to see what you can do with these old vehicles. Thank you for all your hard work and great content!
This is so cool! If it had a set of good tires I bet it could be driven down the road.
Another amazing transformation, from boat anchor to running piece of American history. Awesomeness!!
Just found your channel, love your content. I am a retired mechanic of 47 years. Lately I have had a number of Dodge and Chrysler flathead sixes that I have got running. I am no expert on Dodge flatheads, but a guy who is told me to just leave the oil filter out, they don't filter but a small amount of oil anyway.
always glad to see a old one come back.thank you
Great job as always. Love the sound of those old flathead 6's. Awesome that you got it driving too!
That didn't look like motor oil, it looked like honey. Such a beautiful engine. It would be nice to see it back on the road.
Excellent, young feller. Unfortunately only 18 minutes. An hour or so would have been better. Don't for a second think that we're getting bored. 🇬🇧👍
Awesome job once again getting that old truck running! Cool stuff! That was neat seeing how that dump bed worked.
Beautiful to watch. I love your positivity man. and your taste in old vehicles. you are the best !
Amazing job in resurrecting that old girl! Runs well after sitting so long. International built very durable vehicles.

Incríveis esses caminhões das décadas de 30 40 e 50! Basta uma bateria nova e algumas gotas de combustível! Eles voltam a vida! Ótimo trabalho!

A restoration would be sick on this
I think so too, maybe shorten the chassis ,into a short wheel base ,would be awesum.
Man she runs great! They sure don’t make them like they used to!! Very impressive as always!👌😎👍looking forward for more updates and videos!
My Dad bought a car that had been sitting for 3 years and after 2 weeks of trying it finally started running it stopped burning oil after a month and made a beautiful everyday car.

Mr Mackey is a better mechanic than South Park school counselor. M'kay.
Watching your videos deffinetly makes me rethink older vehicles
