I am a start up. I need database storage for health data. I need a US national customer database with the ability for customers to delete their data, if they decide to leave the program. Are their options for me? By the way your show is GREAT.
I didn't watched the video, but I would assume that cloud databses are databases on the cloud. Did I got that right ? Or do I need to watch the video ?
I get the perspective and if you work in an organiation that already has a cloud presence etc... these are good points. However, my own experience makes me wary of recommending this for small organizations or solo developers that are early on in their development because I find it gets pricey quick. Particilarly if you try to get all these benefits. I find you can get maybe one for free but then you pay for every additional one you want after that or something like that. And it just adds up, fast. Personally, I'd recommend something like a Docker container with volumes initially which I find basically just as fast and easy. But then ehen your looking to scale is when you look at simething like DaaS. And just think it would have been nice for them to make more of a point with price in this video because feels too easy for people to get sucked in even though may end up costing them unnecessarily, at least initially. But that's just my perspective

Thanks Jamil. It was very nice presentation. adding failover in distributed database across datacenter would be good.
