Thank you for watching and following along with this hike! For anyone that wants to see a bunch of stats I was keeping along the way (money spent, shoes I went through, weight lost, animals seen, etc etc) along with a daily recap of the entire trip check out my website jupiterhikes.com/2022/10/17/pacific-crest-trail-thru-hike-recap-2022/ you can also find my gear list there, as well as art I've done inspired by the PCT.
Being able to dust yourself off after the injury on the PCT first attempt and try again shows a great depth of character and tenacity. Your videos inspire others to do the same. Stay safe . Bless you. From a chilly S Korea.
I cried when I seen that monument. I’m so proud of you, Juniper. As a middle aged over weight mom down here in Florida, I found your channel and you have changed my life. I’m hiking now. Finding positivity in every day. Come home and rest those legs, my friend.
Extremely impressive thru hike Jupiter! It was a joy to watch your video series on your hike. The footage was beautiful and your narration is inspiring. Keep up the adventures!
Jupiter, there's no way I can enjoy this series without expressing a tiny bit of gratitude. You let us journey alongside you, through the highs and the lows, in one of the most inspirational things I've ever witnessed. Please keep in touch with Sprocket, Gasket, and Mooch.
Congratulations! Thank you so much for bringing us along. While you're too humble to say it, let's bear in mind you didn't just hike it in this short timeframe but also film beautiful content. Sad it's over but looking forward to what the future brings.
My grandma is dying from cancer but my tears have felt stuck and unable to flow. It helps to keep me happy around her during these final months. This video allowed me to cry. Thank you for sharing this story. I felt your joy and was able to cry tears of joy with you instead of for my pain. I needed that buddy. Keep on hiking! Y’all UA-camrs got me pumped up!!!
bruhhhh this series was so beautiful. thanks for taking us along for the ride. you have such a strong visual eye, the handheld shots this entire way have just been so stellar and artistic and beautiful. and i have loved all your insights, stories, and wisdom. it's been an emotional journey to follow! congratulations and thanks for inspiring me to hike this hike in '24
Beautiful! I really felt for you towards the end, as I know shin splints are so painful. I envy your drive & persistence to the end. You crushed it! 🐻🌲
What a series. Absolutely inspirational, breathtaking, and even existential, but all in the best ways. As someone with thru-hiking dreams stuck in mundane reality, thank you, Jupiter, for letting us share these unique and incredible moments with you. It means more than you know. Can't wait to see what's next! 💛
Congratulations, Jupiter! I'm happy for you. What a stupendous journey it was, the legendary stuff that memories are made of. Glad you made it, but I never doubted that you would. I'm glad the journey was everything you wanted it to be and more. You pushed yourself hard every day as few others could. Your are a special dude. Bravo, my brother, bravo!
Awwww, what a beautiful ending 🤗 so nicely told. A little tear for you and your accomplishments! Congratulations! And thank you so much for taking the time to tell it to us.
As an Aussie hard for me to fathom the PCT till I looked it up and saw you walked more than the distance across Australia at its widest points but with big ass mountains along the way. In 84 days makes it even more incredible. Beautiful work on documenting your journey.
Thank you for taking us on the hike with you. Every person who hikes, hikes for their own reason, destination, and challenge. You had your goals, and I think that you did a damn good job of reaching them. Some setbacks are beyond a person’s control, no ifs ands or buts, it is just a fact. On a side note ... I’m amazed at how your were able to capture so much of your hike and build a great set of videos at the pace you were walking.
Hello Jupiter, thank you for letting me live vicariously through you. I'm 27 and my life as I knew it ended at 18. Up until that point I had dreams of through hikes, obsessions with packing and repacking gear all winter where I live, shaving off weight and even making peices of my own kit. I randomly obtained a pelvic pain condition on top of chronic lower back pain from facet joint syndrome. Over ten years of doctors, injections, physical therapy, rehab because nobody can help me with my pain so I've become an alcoholic. Self harm, suicidal ideation. Everything ive ever built or dreamt for my life has been ripped away from me. But you have let me see if even from a phone screen from my bed what absolute beauty and emotion these places can pull from you. Thank you so much and I'm so happy you were able to come back and complete the PCT.
Omg I’m so happy for you! You are my hero. Inspired! Living in Maine 6 years, born and raised in Washington State and now I wanna go home and hike the PCT! 😭 Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. ❤
So beautiful. It all was beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Btw, my daughter and I met you at a water cache north of crater lake. A few days later we met Gasket as well. Such a treat. Hike On!
Hey Jupiter! What an epic journey! Seeing this landscape through your lens has been nothing short of pure magic. You are such an amazing story teller and this has been one for the ages. Thank you so much for inspiring me and countless others to get out there and live our best lives. We owe you such a debt of gratitude for sharing this with us. I hope 2023 has been amazing for you so far. I can’t wait to hear where the universe will take you next! 🙏 Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. Keep truckin’ and be well. -Grateful
congratulations Jupiter. I met you briefly at trail days. I can see how much it meant to you to finish the trail. I think I understand because I couldn’t finish it last year, and I couldn’t finish the AT in 2018 either. I wanted to try again this year, maybe one last time, but with the snow on the PCT it doesn’t look like the best heat to attempt it. Anyway, congratulations again. Epic.
It may be too early to be looking at snow! Still a long time between now and when you'd get to the Sierra, and in the end everybody's gotta walk through some snow!
You got 124 comments in the 2 hours since you released the video. Guess I’m not the only fan. Well done Jupiter, thanks for the front row seat and inspiration.
Legendary Jupiter! Thank you for taking us on your journey to inspire us to just walk and enjoy life! You have a calming presence that made your steps fill so real. Enjoy, heal, and continue to live your life brother. 40-50 mile days show how athletic hikers like yourself truly are!
Your series of videos on your PCT hike is one of the most thoughtful and beautiful series on a through-hike I’ve seen. And the last 60 seconds made it the sweetest.
Congratulations Jupiter!! I love how humble you are and how you push your limits all the while educating and acknowledging that it’s not for everyone, aka hike your own hike. You are a true inspiration and it’s been a blessing watching your journey of hiking in general these last few years. ❤
Congratulations for not only conquering your demons but doing it so emphatically! I'm a day or section hiker, it blows my mind how fast you went. I hope your perseverance and toughness can help you find your place in life off the trail as well.

Thank you for inviting us along for your 84 day adventure. Congrats on finishing the trail with your big mile days and hope you have a speedy recovery. Thanks again.
Thank you for letting us tag along with you on this amazing journey. Seeing that emotion pour out of you after completing your long time goal was beautiful and inspiring.
Did your “new adventure”include that cutie pie Sprocket? Oh I hope so! Y’all are just too cute together! Wonderful account of an experience of a lifetime! I loved your narrative and camera work. This was great. Thankyou.
Been missing the mountains stuck on the work grind. Every video was a reminder that it's still out there. Thank you for sharing the beauty, joy and pain with us!
My heart goes out to you, Jupiter. You brave, strong, whole-hearted man - friend of both people and avventure. If you were ever to come to Europe, please let me host you. I will follow your footsteps in some time. And I will think of you then.
I’m so happy for you and loved every step of the journey you shared. Shin splints can be SO painful and tough to overcome. It sux that you developed them but, like you said, thankfully you were as close as you were to the border. Congratulations Thru Hiker. You f**kin’ did it!!!!
Jupiter, it was incredible journey!Congratulation for completing the PCT!! Wish you the best in 2023. I enjoyed your videos, thanks a lot for them. Looking forward for some other adveture. Hope you will share it with us. Take care.

Congrats, man. Always a pleasure to share in your adventures. This one seemed special. You’ve reignited my love of hiking, like full circle - from hiker to runner and back again. Thank you.
I almost cried at the end. Thank you for sharing all these years and contributing to the Trail Community. Been following along for the past 5 years or so. -Matador ✌🏾❤️
In march a friend and I will be attempting to walk across America. from our home in WV to New York and the east coast, then over to Ohio to touch Canada. Down and across into Texas to touch Mexico, and finally ending in California on the west coast. I've been watching your videos to mentally prepare myself in some ways and really just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I hope the 2023 hiking season is kind to you!
"I came out here to push myself, to see what I could do, to see what I could become. . ." you said. But you did more than that. You brought us along with a masterful composition of sixteen short stories that show the majesty of America's vast landscapes and the challenges found in setting a goal and achieving it. I hope you find a venue or multiple venues to share these short stories more broadly than UA-cam can provide. They are that good.
Thanks for taking us along. I could see how emotional the experience was for you. You did look to be in pain, but you persevered. Amazing you did it in less than 3 months. Many others I followed almost doubled that....but they too accomplished so much. Hats off to all who accepted the challenge.
I really love your frank honesty, and self-awareness. I’m glad you succeeded in reaching your goals and chasing your dreams. Thanks for sharing your perspective. 💜

Your laid back style and understated accompaniments are so moving. You mister are an absolute badass! I get to do some incredible stuff in life but only dream of long walks with myself. One day that will change… till then I will have to depend on you and others to take me along. I so wish I had money running out my ass but I don’t so a little token is all I can share. I am sending you all the hope in the world Jupiter! ,
