Thanks for another great video Brian. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Before I talk farming, I want to tell you thanks for clarifying the ads that show up on your videos. I understand how it works but think there is a lot of followers that think you run that. You have NO control over that. This bring a political season I have seen some nasty comments. Please listen to Brian, he has no control over that. Many thanks to Brian for clarifying that. Now back to farming. Heavy duty thanks to you Brian for the drone footage of your corn and soybean fields showing how the corn, especially, has good and bad streaks in it. That one corn field really had some super bad streaks in it; really noticeable!!!!!! Thanks for showing the that and talking about that. Was most definitely interesting. Help me out here. I am central Iowa and our soil is the dark kind of combo type of soil. Now if I understand you correctly, your soil is more the lighter soil and in your case you have a lot of gravel mixed in with your actual dirt so to speak. Makes a big difference in your crop production. Am I understanding you correctly????? Hauling corn is busy work. You bin setup is pretty darn nice. Good setup. You move right alone loading. Hang in there Brian Wish prices were better for you. Thanks for everything. Take care and be safe. Blessings to all of the Brown Family. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊😊👍✅🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love your videos, as a retired farmer I enjoy your perspective on agricultural production and how you are affected by the current leadership in government. I wish you could make a statement about the change in the American ownership of farms and the Chinese impact on the agricultural sector. I believe it to be a dangerous situation for the future of agriculture in the USA. Please don’t be afraid to express your feelings about your future and commodity prices in the future. My fears lie in Communism and the anti capitalist ideology that the democrats want our country to move towards. It was expressed yesterday by their candidate for office by oppressing prices.?
It would be nice to have a trustworthy Republican candidate to choose. Trump is not an option. He's a compulsive liar, narcissist, sexual abuser, corrupt and could care less about non-millionaires. Do you think he gives a damn about farmers?
Nothing special but also enjoyed and in my case as a dairyfarmer over in the netherlands i learn a lot ,gives me something to talk when i go on vacation to the USA next month, thanks Brian greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
You have a right to be upset about Commodity prices Corn soybeans When it's costing you more to put the crop in the ground then you're making You can't survive that way very long I don't think people understand How much Money farmers have going out Every year just to get that crop in the ground As far as being political This is the worst economy we've had Across the board everything In a quite a few years
If the farms took care of their money during the good years, a bad year or two shouldn't doom them. Small farmers? Sure. But farms of 2,000 acres or more have made a killing the last few years. They aren't buying $900,000 combines and $600,000 tractors, and building half a million dollar shops because they're losing money. Some years you make $700 an acre, and some years you make $100 an acre. I don't think any large corn and soybean farms have lost any money since the 1980s., unless their land was rented and they went way overboard on equipment.
So do you think that crop insurance is what will keep farms alive? It isn’t. Crop insurance will help but the farm bill is mostly food stamps which for some reason is part of the farm bill
I was just telling the wife that I'm glad we don't do row crops. The prices now are awful. With hay we decide our prices. Cattle prices are good too. I have a few. Just recently sold two calves and did well. I feel for ya'll. Manufactures are laying off. Just heard Kinze was. The Ohio Ag closing up affects a bunch of us also. Things got to change and I believe it all starts in November. God speed and God Bless.
I ate breakfast with a church group on Sunday. The toast cost a dollar a slice. One of the first discussions was it will not be long until we run out of food. If farmers have to deal with over production, shortages will come when there are no more farmers. 1200 slices from a $5.60 bushel of wheat..I think we need less production.
Robert there is a worldwide glut of wheat. The US is a very minor player in the grand scheme of pricing. I think the 1.00 per slice was a restaurant issue not the grain price, maybe invite the folks over and cook for them ??
Hey Brian hope your content picks up again. Prices like this after all the investment will be a kick in the nuts no doubt. Time for fair prices on food end of
I know it's terrible with the corn prices for the farmers, but it is nice for my employer in the bioethanol industry. Maybe those poor yields will help drive up the grain futures, but markets are a fickle beast
@@jasonbrown2060 Lol, I remember the "tractorcade" in the 70's. Everyone said they were going "on strike" when they were in DC, and all went home and planted the biggest crop ever seen before that. And prices really went to the basement... 🤔😯🙄🤣
Farmers simply aren't unified enough to control the production, in this area large Farmers want more and more land for the privilege to push red ink. Every acre of wheat ground is double cropped to soybeans.

The majority of the corn belt has had great weather and will produce accordingly. Markets will react to a good crop the same way they always do.
