I like Korone being “the rude one.” The one that says something outrageous makes everybody else say “did she just do that!” That’s funny. It’s what people expect from Korone. She is never truly mean or cruel to anyone, even when she insults someone during a collab, it’s obvious it’s just a light-hearted joke.

Korone's concerns about the different vibes from her fans compared to others is well understood. As she said, if she's with people she usually collabs with, their fanbases are also familiar with how she operates. For example, she's lovey-dovey on Okayu collabs, with Lamy she teases her a lot, and when it's Subaru, it's a full-on sibling fight, and if people aren't familiar with that, they could take it the wrong way.

It is very cute hearing about how when management asks her to be herself she says "I end up overdoing it and getting too carried away". If that is what she tends to do in that situation then that is probably exactly what they were hoping for.

If you've experienced being the butt of the joke in a group of "friends" for years, your perspective is different on the matter. Even if the one being made fun of says they know its for fun and also says its funny or even beneficial. Even if there are moments in-between where the negative dynamic seems to have been superficial - and there can be many of those.

I feel like that's common introvert behavior. You have your circle of close friends who you are comfortable with and open up to. Getting to know new people can be difficult because you're guarded at first until you get to know them. I imagine in Japanese society this effect has some kind of multiplier due to their general reserved nature and the whole "tatemae" concept of being guarded and reserved in public.
