I don't understand how he didn't come famous, he's the perfect incarnation of John, Paul, George and Ringo and represent the real sixties music. i knew him thanks a documentary published in Italy, the one man beatles, and i find this film so beautiful...i hope that you can see. Sorry for my english
Sounds like Emitt to me. Great singing, songwriting, studio wizard, musically proficient--pulled off some fantastic stuff for the times. I've read a lot about him and I think too much emphasis on the McCartney comparisons. I would not confuse his voice with Sir Paul's. Emitt's is much sweeter. Everybody has influences that they channel--even the brilliant Beatles. Emitt's brilliant with a melody too.
Thank you so much for posting this. There isn't much out there. Emmitt is sadly underrated, and he's better at sounding McCartney-ish than Eric Carmen. At least Emmitt could play several instruments and compose songs just as good if not better than the master!
I'm a little tired of all the McCartney comparisons too, he was miles behind Emitt at the time. Paul had 3 others to help + George Martin. Emitt on the other hand did it all including producing & engineering. So let's put an end these comparisons. But as far as Emitt goes he was only 1 honest Agent or Manager away. Makes me Sad! Ah Nilsson, he's on my special list along with Randy Newman & others
Thanks a million for posting this brilliant Vid! Emitt is a musical stud, and I'll love him forever!
They managed to haul a beautiful upright piano down the tube station. How cool!

I agree about that McCartney thing. He should have been huge.Perhaps he put too much on himself.
