I’m really interested to see what Amazon can say about this! It’s fair to say most people that buy from Amazon do so knowing they can return it thinking the money is coming out of amazons pocket not the people that privately sell through them. This series of yours has done nothing but steer me away from the idea of selling my inventory on Amazon, great, insightful content for sellers well done Dave
Thanks for the kind words Rory! I'll be sure to share what feedback / response i get from Amazon once I call them. it can be a bit of a roller coaster ride from time to time, but it keeps life interesting as well.
I agree... that's really the primary reason that I'll call Amazon about it... the financial loss isn't that big of a deal.. i'd rather have a record of the people who did this so Amazon can hopefully do something about it at some point.
Ha, my first Lego amazon return via FBM was the city logging osprey. Think it sold for $200. Got the parts are missing reason just like you. Box was retuned with no set inside. Amazon honored the sale. I have a few more sets returned. Do you open all the sets once returned even if they don't look messed with? What I'm saying is once it is retuned do you not consider it new anymore? I have set 76166 that was retuned and it looks prefect. Going to weigh it but don't want to open her up as I would like to resell it.
so i don't sell anything via FBM (yet), so it works a little different for me. when it's returned via Amazon FBA, Amazon checks the item first to decide if it's "re-sellable" or if it's damaged... this is subject to whoever the person receiving the item is, but when it's not sellable that's when i have it returned to me and do a video on it. if it came back to me and was all still sealed and didn't seem suspicious in any way, i wouldn't bother spending time opening or weighing it really.
@@ScotsToys That's also wrong, it's something they don't care about, it's not their stock, if it's not from Amazon, they don't care at all about anything. Money back, you should pay, that's it.
Really pathetic people are such idiots! I had similar. I took photos. I gave return #. I showed set was supposed to be and what was returned. I did end up getting credit for it after a few emails. I have 3 returns coming from Christmas sales... so I may have more of that too. Hopefully not.
Yeah, i've got a bunch more returns coming back this Month as well.... I suppose we will see how many of them are ones I do episodes on vs how many are deemed as sellable still. I'll call amazon on Monday most likely to see what they can do.

how does Amazon allows this to happen? i dont get it...
Great Question... I would say that it's likely not something they "allow"... it's just something they don't check for

Still Working thru things now, but hoping once I get to the end of it i'll be able to post an update video
What did amazon think? I guess they look patterns in buyer behaviour.
Still working thru the case with Amazon. I'll do an update once I get more answers.
i would be posting them abox of loose live tics and crickets
