Everybody and their brother in a 2 mile radius is probably like wtf and you've got truckers laughing their assessment off at you over cb cause she sounds so good.
Learned how to drive on a 525 n-14. Never had a single problem or hill that stopped that truck, but I have a new truck now with a 475 6NZ cat. Thing just pulls and makes power everywhere. There isn't any difference between the power of the two IMHO, but the CAT is way more expensive to maintain.
Idk it depends how you look at it. CAT is like Mack in many ways in that once you buy Mack, you marry Mack. Cummins are more readily available and parts are too. Not always, but more often than not you have to go to an actual CAT dealer if you're doing maintenance right. The truck I drive has a 475 CAT and needs rebuilt, and they quoted me 18,500-20k. Reasonable...but a guy who I was chatting with had his cummins ISX 565 rebuilt spent 17,000 and got way more out of the rebuild. (Billet fuel lines, small odds and ends.) I don't mind spending money on the engine that's making my livelihood though, I'm going to have the motor made into a 550, or 625.
Depends how you look at it? Numbers are numbers. My Cats are cheaper to own and operate than any of my Cummins have been. That's all I said. Maybe your experience is different, but it's like listening to a broken record hearing "Cat's are more expensive".
Don't get huffy puffy. Typical internet crap...just speaking from MY experience & the family business experience. I love my Cat. Wouldn't trade it for anything else. I know it's hard to fathom people don't always have the same experience.
you dont no how to drive truck, take a 8 axle 30 wheeler, permitted to 75 ton, on ice roads, then you can post.. dont laugh until you try. i got a videio from from dash, hit the the brideg at 110kmh wish a super b, climg the top at 15

+sTEVAL570 I've never found that. My Cats have always ended up being less expensive to operate.

Nova scotia ! Thumbs up buddy !
performance muffler?
Ya jakes are meant to run know higher then 1900 rpms. It damages them if your do
Below 1900 rpm jakes should not be used then?
Yes below 1900. I don’t like too run mine over 1800
@@calebsimth4562 it work best between 1800-2100
N14……… the last great cummins engine
the first cummins isx are also great engines what kills they are the pollution treatment systems
He visto varios vídeos de motoristas en usa y mi duda es: allá no exigen cinturón de seguridad por qué la gran mayoría no lo utilizan
All the cool truckin' videos come from the maritimes!

dueltruck700
yup, thats the way she goes rick ;)
good ol nova scotia lol
Что за звуки?
yea, rev the shit out of it and burn more oil and do more wear and tear on the engine. At least one person thinks you're fuckin' cool and it's you.
Lock up the trailer on the off ramp why dont ya
want a jamaican driver to make that sing sweeter music
that's what I was thinking
jamaican can't drive truck
Good way to blow out your trailer brakes try stopping then by just tractor brakes guarentee you won't be stopping
nova scotia
Why so much violence??? Lol
jajajajjaaj ..very good
Let her rip........
you might wear out the jake brake. try using a little air on the air brakes. that's really dangerous
Wearing out a jake brake (is that even possible?) is better than having your breaks fade halfway down the hill.
yeah
What do u think the jake is designed for so u don't fry ur brakes I would rather a jake on a hil then no brakes plus u can't wear our jake brakes
*out
Don't engine breaks work by closing off valves to restrict the amount of exhaust gas able to escape creating resistance on the piston?
