  • Most people with dementia will experience some difficulties in speech, language and communication at some point during their journey. Primary progressive aphasia describes a group of language led dementias that are associated with Alzheimer's disease and Frontotemporal dementia. One of the most common concerns people with primary progressive aphasia and their family members report is how to find guidance on having day to day conversations.
Dr Anna Volkmer (UCL) introduces Better Conversations, an intervention which speech and language therapists can use to support people with primary progressive aphasia and their family members to have better conversations.
