    Through the years, i noticed that he took off a bit of arc bounce and lowered his shot pocket for a bit. What did you guys noticed?

      I noticed he bends his knees a lil bit now than he usually does and also has his feet set. The release has become quicker but better.

      Overall, his shooting form has become seemingly more reliable now than it looked like on his first few years in the league.

    it’s actually insane how long LeBron has been dominating the league, i was born in 02’ so basically he’s been the best and basically the greatest of all time for me my whole life😳

      I know right,, at least 3-4 more years of domination in his tank and prolly 2-3 years downhill getting to retirement

      @@nostalgiagaming8207 ahhh I don’t know about 3-4 years left of domination, I’d say 2 tops, but definitely gonna be a great player til he’s 40

    Lbj release point has the biggest change plus the way he shot now is more of a fadeaway type.

    Bro this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
    *edit*
    So after watching, I feel like he definitely lowered his shooting arc and the release is much quicker. Watching him over the years and with this video too, it makes me notice how much he tends to just “shoot” tho, like none of his motions are consistent. His Miami Heat years he was just throwing shit up and it was always accurate. Dude is amazing and it’s wild to see how much better of a jump shot he has in his own right, especially if you remember when people made it a point to mention how he couldn’t shoot early on in his career.

  • @kendallsanders4298
    @kendallsanders4298 Рік тому +5

    Every since 15’ he’s developed a smoother follow through with his forearm and wrist. Years prior you could see him getting real quirky in his right arm and using mostly his wrist. His feet also kinda changed from his feet first being close but widening a bit in the latter of his career. His release has been pretty consistent, its the other little things that’s helped him become a better shooter of the basketball.

    He'd be a much better shooter if he made his jumpshot one motion. I'm not saying he's bad but there's a lot of room for growth.

      @nostalgiagaming8207  3 роки тому +12

      exactly! but it is good that he lowered his shot pocket, take off a bit of the arc and minimized his jump through the years

      One motion shot is good for some guys, but not automatically better. Mark Price and Steve Kerr both had quick two motion shots that are top 5 in history. Klay is two as well. One shot is great for Steph and Dame. But just ask Dellavedova what can happen when you try to go to a one motion shot after years. He went from being a reliable to good shooter to completely broken.

    His left shoulder starts to dip and he stopped releasing at full elbow extension from about his second Miami year on. He also startednangling his body more so his chest was more aimed left and right shoulder towards the target from then. With that came less success as a straight rise and fire guy. He used to be able to simply stop and pop. From about 2012, he has more complicated foot work before a fadeaway.
    All that is fine except for at the foul line, he still keeps his chest toward the target giving him an elbow out release and a slight fall to the left.
    It is why his three ball is better when deeper and from his favorite left wing launch. He goes more up and down from there because of the distance, and the angle of the shot make his hesi cross into left hand pickup a more in line shoulder to hoop release.
    In short, his motion was better before Miami, but he jumped so high that he sometimes got out of the groove. When he was in groove, he could get scorching hot in a way he can't anymore.
    It was good that he lowered to more of a set shot at Miami, but his left fall and his elbow shortening are bad side effects that have prevented him from being the complete knockdown shooter he could have been.
    Still better than Kobe ever was as a shooter. haha

    Why did his shooting decline so much this year, last year he shot 36% from 3 on 8 attempts, this year he’s shooting pretty bad 32% on 7 attempts.
    I noticed when looking at the pregame shoot around in playoffs he was shooting from left and bringing it to the right.
