Isuzu should have provided a bigger 3.0 L engine as well in the MU-X which was there in the previous BS4 MU-X instead of the smaller 1.9 L that they just launched it in. I wish Isuzu could have taken the Indian market seriously. The Thai and the Australian markets both get the 3.0L and the 1.9L engines in their Isuzus (albeit the latest gen MU-X is yet to be launched in Australia later this year).
IZUZU is a really good product. Strong, reliable, stable, safe. The biggest PRO is that it doesn't have many variats which is not confusing from the customers point of view. I wish they stuck to their engine and not 1.9. The only CON is the price doesn't justify the way it is also not many dealerships, not good resale, which in turn has not helped to reach the required attention and customers. It is way more practical than other cars in the segment . Toyota is way way more aggressive than any rival. It's valid since they have earned it. However Thank-you so much motoroctane I wish to see you review it in person.

I myself owned one dmx V cross 1.9l engine z ddi, I too agree that Isuzu India should have done a better r & d work before launching the bs-6 engine. There are many vehicles available in Indian road cheaper or similar price but they provide features and facilities way more than my V cross. No doubt the engine is very powerful. But we Indian’s expect more than engine power like 4-6 air bags, better infotainment system, cornering light, front view camera for off-road. 😢

They have service centers everywhere. Even the local mechanic know how to repair the car. Spares are available easily everywhere. If you want cheaper car. buy a used maruthi car. Really.but the hi-lander we aee getting in Nepal is got a full 4×4 system with low gear ratio. But ni auto climate or electric rear view mirrors. Still Costs a fortune though.

India is big market for pickup trucks but big brands are ignoring. Also talk to other brands like Toyota, Ford Nissan for launching pickup trucks like their models in international market.

Few incorrect info. You have mixed the features of 4*4 AT and 4*4 MT in the first few minutes. AT prestige has 4 airbags ESP and couple of others. 4*4 MT has only 2 airbags, no ESP. but yes I feel the pricing is very aggressive. 4*4 MT in Bangalore is coming upto 27 on road.

I want to congratulate all those isuzu buyers who bought isuzu dmax last year in Feb-March as they got awesome deals before bs4 to bs6 conversion rule and that too the updated Isuzu dmax vcross, i got it under 13 only 😂. This new range is not the the international ones offered in other countries like australia and this model is just a refurbished one and does not justify the 30 lakh tag.
Compared to the Isuzu in rest part of the world, these cars for India are priced extremly high with no updates to its features, design and technology. Certainly an end game for Isuzu.

Both these are 2nd(read: old) gen models made available in India whereas the new latest 3rd gen models are made available in the global market. The latest gen versions look and feel like a different (& a way better) product altogether and also would make justice to these prices by isuzu India. Especially the Dmax Vcross Xterrain is such a looker & a beast of a performer. However this in India is a ridiculous strategy from isuzu. Guess they are taking us Indians for granted.
