Looks only a mother could love.
Yes, but the mother did first start to get morning sickness, after they were born. :-)
Ah…. Motherly love, what more can a child want to have😊.
@@nirodha35 I am sure Quasimodo also had his mother's love:-)
Like something out of an alien film lol
I never thought that vivid audio will produce that ugly speakers. Because all the Giya, Kaya, Oval series just looks like an artwork🤦🏻♂️
Nah Giyas look like a mascot for Dairy Queen. I've never heard or seen a Vivid speaker I liked. These just continue the trend for me.
@@carlosoliveira-rc2xtIn Hong Kong and Taiwan all the audiophile call the Giyas “Majin Buu” from dragon ball😂
Funny… always thought the snails were pretty ugly. This I kinda like… you know, in a doctor Who kind of way😊
They look like some kid who owns an auto/marine/ auto body/sound shop was trying to use up all his extra drivers and sheets of fiberglass. No sane person would allow them in their home.
Thanks, Jay. Here's hoping you can get back to this room when they're playing something different...
I hope so too!
Interesting room size, room adaptation, room aesthetics, and amplifier choice. Seriously, are those people OK? Half mil speakers presented like THIS?!
Their presentation was great, engineers only. Also look for Dali presentation, industry leading.
Hi Jay - Wondering if you'll make it to room E221 to get ears on that new MSB Cascade DAC? Seems pretty amazing on paper.
Thank you Jay I would really like to know your thoughts on these and what they can possibly be with better electronics
Dude these blow Sonus Faber out of the water.
You MUST take these speakers on ur audio journey 🙏
What information is this video supposed to provide me with?
The sound of a pair of massive speakers playing in a non-treated room (all I see is reflective surfaces), recorded with a video camera (or phone?) microphone, played back via lossy compression - that tells me exactly nothing about the speakers.
It is entertainment, report from the show. Visitors from the show comment below about their experiences in that room. Later videos will reveal Jays impressions as well.
Vivid in center of two boomboxes
Example when alien female from some extraterrestrial planet let be impregnated by some unknown alien and then her spaceship lend on Earth and her babies were born in Munich Audio Show….
I wonder if the European audience thinks the North American show music is this bad? I recall last years Munich show not being very good, but this year is even worse. Imo, not a great way to showcase your expensive gear.
What are your 2 favorite songs you listen at the shows?
Most people who work for a distributor or manufacturer of audio are often not real music lovers. This is why their music is often awful or old stuff we hear repeatedly. Welcome to the limited world of audio. The biggest issue in audio is that many manufacturers and distributors are not the best at creating and selecting a good-sounding audio system.
I was at the High End show today and each manufacturer generally (but not always) plays a variety of musical genres. For my tastes, some tracks were great and others less so. Jay cannot hang around waiting for what in his opinion is a "great track" as he has to get around the show. I was able to spend longer in rooms and so experienced tracks I liked and disliked, but in all cases it told me something about the equipment and the room it was playing in. I thought some systems sounded great and some not so good. One person I spoke to was extremely impressed with a specific room which I thought was mediocre. This hobby caters for all tastes. At the end of the day, I thought the high end show was really enjoyable and looking forward to tomorrow. I must say though that having fun is exhausting 🤣 Good night.
@@Redstickler1000thanks for understanding my work at shows. It’s really appreciated !
@@jaysaudiolabActually I was thrilled to see you today but didn't want to interfere with your work. Not sure if you noticed, but in the Raidho room (which I thought was very good) I tapped you on the shoulder when the so called "hot seat' became available and whispered that you should jump into it quickly, which you did but probably would have done anyway 😊 Keep up the great work, I am really tired and I didn't have to interview anyone so I guess you must be wiped out this week although you looked very fresh to me. Cheers.
Interesting choice of music.👍🏾
Interesting =bad
Hello Jay, what's your opinion about its design? Great week!
How do they compare to the SF Suprema?
Looks like Duel at Walmart designed them
From the side it looks like a giant knuckle duster.
Like an overstuffed suitcase on it's way to a vacation in a roach ridden hotel room down south................to even compare these speakers to the SF SE 17 is an absolute outrage.

I don't know..... is it the music or what ?
Do you hear a weird type of pervasive coloration?
@@jaysullivan9545 yes !!!
Hard wear combination doesn’t work!
Is this a joke?!
$500K? Sorry folks. This is my “meh…” face. Those big *** speakers did not show me authority.
I'll pass . Particularly sad since I just listened to the MBL demo .
Underwhelming!
Sounds good to me not my type of music
Use some decent music for a change.
Anyone else getting tired of the ridiculously bad music being played?
Looks like a normal speaker had an allergic reaction and swelled up.
They’re too ostentatious….gawdy for lack of a better word…
I think I owe an apology to the designers, creators and contributors of this room. Today I happened to listen again at 3:00 am and I must say, almost everything supposed to be heard from this song is well delivered. A couple of minor issues like a rather occasional and marginal lack of absolute transparency, sharpness of imaging and deep base control, are well expected, even at a higher degree on a setting like this, where conditions are suboptimal. So, my first bad impression must have been due to an internet traffic, quality issue, at a busy-daytime, which I allowed to fool me. I apologize again. The system delivers, as well as Jay's recording too.
Amps may not be a good match here. Something is off
What are you listening to this on?
@@BrettinLux I listened to it through my laptop speaker and I can confirm that there is something off with the sound.
Are these Vivid speakers ?? Oh wow something went wrong in the design department. You must live in a bunker to play these speakers otherwise the house will demolished bit by bit every time you play the system.😅
I'm not digging the "high tech mollusk" looks. These speakers may kick ass sonically, but will get me kicked kicked to the curb by an enraged spouse.
Seems to me speakers were driven by class D amp with strong solid state signature in every musical note
Let the guy out of the speaker cabinet. Can’t you hear he’s trying to break out?!
What is the point here??? This is an absolute joke on so many levels!
Definitely bad luck with the songs in the rooms 🤦🏻♂️

❤110 & new sub I think the audio looks and sounds good
As much as they look like a César's sculpture, they seem to be very musical
What song is that. Shazam can not recognize it.
8 bass units in each side and no EDM music they must be joking
Answer to Rels No 31/32 triple stack? 😮
you need a better Mic
This is a song from an audiophile album from the '90ies (or 1985). Really well recorded, with lots of things to be experienced and appreciated by a true audiophile. These are real gipsies singing, as a group, some dancing too and powerfully stomping their feet on something that sounds like a wooden floor. Placing of voices and instruments and dancers in the scene is an excellent test for a system's imaging. Acoustic guitars, castanets, male and female voices, stomping feet, in a live scenery. Guitar tonality, castanet naturalness, the skin of the sole of the shoe on the wooden floor, the thumping of the stomp, and the unbelievably humane voices, are traits to be seeked for and acquired by the ear and brain. The voices cary tremendous amount of passion and emotional undulations. You can feel that these people sing out their souls. For a couple of male singers, you can literally hear the sputum in their throats or even imagine their rotten teeth. The impact of the stomping feet is tremendous. I can hear the deep thump and feel it, even with my small prototypes of loudspeakers and I can picture the dancer well placed in space. This does not happen here. The sound is thin, devoid of its original liveliness. I wonder if they have connected the woofers at all, or if they connected them out of phase! Something is wrong in this room, they'd better find out.
Hi, can you tell me please what song is? Thank you.
@@tudorgabrielgavrilescu5839 I don't even remember the album title right now. I've listened to this song many times in the past, for the reasons above but do not remember the title, sorry.

Thank GOD for Audio Research and Quad 57s that you can touch and listen to real music and get away from this Audiophile BS, who on Earth would want this in your lounge or anyware.
Wonderful music. Cant wait to hear about your experience being there.
Why do they always play crappy music on speakers that cost so much .from what I am hearing this music makes the speaker sound like a crap😂😂😂😂😂
