    How to make a dancing team:
    Ooh
    You can dance
    You can blight
    Having the fight of your life
    Ooh, did that sting?
    Watch that bleed
    Digging the dancing teaming
    Week 39 and the torch is low
    Looking out for a place to go
    Where they give the right trinket
    Getting in the swing
    You come to look for a king
    Lepper could be that guy
    Night is young and the damage is high
    With a bit of dodge
    Everything is fine
    You're in the mood for a dance
    And when you get the chance
    You are the dancing team
    Hit a lunge
    Only seventeen??
    Dancing team
    Feel the beat from the bright tambourine, oh yeah
    Ooh
    You can dance
    You can blight
    Having the fight of your life
    Ooh, did that sting?
    Watch that bleed
    Digging the dancing teaming
    You're luminous, you turn 'em on
    Shadow fade and then you're gone
    Looking out for another
    Anyone will do
    You're in the mood for a dance
    And when you get the chance
    You are the dancing team
    Hit a lunge
    Only seventeen??
    Dancing team
    Feel the beat from the bright tambourine, oh yeah
    Ooh
    You can dance
    You can blight

    The other one-hero dance team would be HWM in 2/1 with Point Blank Shot and the Riposte move. As long as the other front liner can handle being in both positions, you're fine.
    Also, I founs that your dance cycle does not have to be infinite. Lunge - Holy Lance - Lunge is a good combo as long as your former Rank 1 can be in 3. By then most threats should be dealt with and the fight practically over, if it is a normal hallway or room fight

    It never clicked how OP the shieldbreaker is until I tried running two in the farm stead. With a jester and vestal, on my first run ever, made it to 220~. Even the blight resistant monsters were shredded with a few good trickets.
    Highwayman + Crusader has been a staple of my ruins teams. Throw in a PD and the backline never had a chance.
    The simple teams really are great

  • @couchpotatoe91
    @couchpotatoe91 2 роки тому +2

    Over the past 1-2 years I see Occultist more and more as a frontline healer, basically an inverse vestal. And yes, he ideally still needs some help e.g. from plague doc.
    What I'm getting at is that even in dancing teams that rely heavily on dancing, you still want tour healer in place. The Occultist needs to remain in pos 1 or 2 for hands from the abyss, the vestal needs rank 3 or 4 for divine grace.
    So the best 'heavy' dancing teams I have found are those that have either occultist in pos 1 fixed or Vestal in pos 4 fixed while the rest of the core moves.
    Example of an Occultist shuffle team:
    Graverobber, Crusader/HWM/Shieldbreaker, Occultist.
    Note how both hwm and sb have good moves in pos 2 (captivate, pistol shot, knife) should they go first that don't move them forward, leaving the occultist in pos 1.
    An example for a heavy dancing team with vestal would be gr, hwm, vestal, shieldbreaker which is one of my favorites: It's quick and flexible, meaning the fights play very differently each time. Other than the occultist in the other team, the vestal is slow meaning she's fine with pos 2 at the start because both gr and hwm are vasically guaranteed to go before her.

During the trinkets tier list video, you're saying "if I see Blasphemous vial on the necromancer i'll go fight him, even in week 8". I just started the game and it's rly difficult to know which trinkets i should take, or if it's better to just focusing on heirlooms or maybe should i just focus on money.
    BTW the difficulty level is in pair with Stoneshard, I love it!

    Grave Robber-Grave Robber-Antiquarian-Flagelent.
    4 lunges in 2 turns and if something is left alive it gets a pick to the face. nuff said. Flagelent heals, stress heals, melts frontline, melts backline and generally does OP flagelent stuff, Antiquarian stacks so much dodge that anyone left alive can't hit you and makes sure you drag all the booty out of the dungeon. ;)
    Funny thing about the game is that most heroes do great in pairs and need minimal set up to make them go in proper order. :)

    My favrotie dancing team is GR - Vestal - Crusader - MaA
    Super tanky, almost unkillable. Two heroes can heal, including stress heal from Inspiring Cry. Three heroes can stun. In crisis situations MaA can defend someone from killing blow.
    In this comp there's no need to use Shadow Fade on GR. Holy Lance and Rampart can quite reliably send her back, making her super heavy damage dealer.
    Also if you stall fights correctly, you walk out from every fight with full health and no stress.

    Hi shuffle, I was wondering about a video on secondary lockable traits. What I meant is traits that are good but situational. To be locked when convenient. (Mid/late game when money is abundant and nothing exceptional comes by) Like clutch hitter on hellion, you don’t want her on low hp but the crit can save your bacon in clutch situation.

    • @ShuffleFM
      @ShuffleFM  2 роки тому

      Situational quirks aren't usually worth locking in imo, unless it's a situation you can have happen consistently. For instance I wouldn't like clutch hitter on hellion but I'd use it on flagellant since he can bleed himself down consistently.

    So I uninstalled DD, so I won't be trying this anytime soon, but one team I wanna see at champion level is this:
    GR/PD/Crus/SB
    Like you said, you get that double lunge, along side a holy lance. But you have solid healing, stress healing, camp options. I think it would definitely need a Recovery Charm to pass around, and the Ancestors Bottle/Crus CC Trinket.

    If I may criticize your favorite team:
    With all 3 heroes besides the graverobber heavily relying on a certain position, this 'dancing' team has actual issues with being shuffled.
    Also while it has blight synergy, the hellion goes way better with e.g. a flagellant that decreases bleed resist and helps with her "+33% against bleeding" crit buff.

  • @ardynizunia9709
    @ardynizunia9709 3 місяці тому

    I know this is super old, but I'm playing the game rn and I love graverobber.
    I wamt to make a team with her and shielbreaker, focused on impale blighting everything so graverobber gets to nuke everything with lunge.
    But it feels pretty much impossible to get the speed order needed for shieldbreaker to impale before graverobbers turn and someone im rank 2 that has a forward movement skill going last so that character and then shielbreaker next turm can move graverobber back into rank 3.
    So sb would need to always go first, gr second, smth like cr/maa third.
    So while their skills seem really synergistic, the speed issue makes me feel like pairing gr amd sb won't be wirth the effort of taking -spd trinkets ok gr and needing negative spd quirks on her while stacking +spd on sb.
    Really doesn't sound worth it but I wanna do it.
    Any tips on a good sb, gr, impale using comp that can reset gr into rank 3 to cgain lunges would be VERY appreciated.

    I think it's important to consider that just because a character can dance doesn't mean they should. There are some dancing skills that a hero would rather use than their normal stuff (Lunge, Holy Lance, Duelist's Advance), some skills that are just a normal part of a hero's function (Pierce, Rampart), and some that you didn't really want to touch in the first place (most of the others, e.g. Slam). This is important because a well-built dancing party isn't "just" a party that moves around a lot, it's a party that's designed to optimize one of the really beneficial dancing skills so you can use it more often than a hero would be able to on their own. You need at least one hero who benefits from dancing for it to really matter at all, because the act of dancing itself isn't inherently beneficial--some heroes can correct others' position with a dancing skill if forced into an odd spot (mostly GR) but most cannot, and you may end up hurting others' positioning instead.
    I say this is important because some of the parties you mention use some of the unfavorable dancing skills and don't really benefit from their presence. The GR/Ves/Abom/Hel party, for example, is arguably harmed by dancing. A GR lunging pushes the Abomination out of position for Rage, which is his most useful beast form skill by a pretty good margin. That means if you want to actually dance, your Abomination has to use Slam which costs him ACC, damage, and range relative to what he could normally do--even if the GR gets extra damage, it comes at the expense of Abom's damage (and range!), so there is little if any benefit overall. And although you could just Shadow Fade and do normal human Abom things, now you're not benefiting from dancing at all, you're just doing things a base GR can do while also stepping on the toes of a hero who doesn't want to be shuffled.
    In contrast the HWM/Cru core works because a HWM doesn't really want to get stuck in position 1 and a Crusader would rather use Holy Lance all day over Smite. So putting them in the middle together solves both issues: your HWM won't risk losing all his range and your Crusader gets to use what is usually the superior attack as much as he wants. Likewise the GR/Cru/MaA/Occ thing has similar benefits although it can also get wrecked by SPD rolls.
    I'll also add that SB is really weird as a dancer: almost all her skills move her around, but all the other dancers don't want to be pushed forwards (unless you want PBS I guess), they want to be pushed backwards. So if you use her as a dancer she's still hurt by it because dancers only want her to be using forward movement skills, which will generally reduce her to Pierce spam. Pierce is good enough that it can still be worth using her if another hero benefits more from the dancing than the SB is hurt, but SB isn't exactly a prime candidate for dancing parties.
    TL;DR it's important to make a distinction between a "dancing team" (a team that benefits from dancing) and a "team with dancing" (a team that has dancers) because they're very different things and only the former is particularly complicated or useful to understand.

    • @OK-sd3lp
      @OK-sd3lp 2 роки тому

      There is no difference. You are overcomplicating the only thing you need to understand. Pick the right skills. Dancing around is just the result of these skills. Doesn't matter if it is partially or completely dancing. You probably lose a lot of efficiency with your weird dichotomy.

    • @buttgoblin106
      @buttgoblin106 2 роки тому +1

      @@OK-sd3lp How can there be a loss in efficiency? By the above definition, a dancing team is a team built to optimize a beneficial dancing skill. Other teams can have dancing, but if they don't benefit from it, it's not really worth calling them a dancing team as the act of dancing doesn't contribute to your success. Dancing itself is not intrinsically beneficial so you only benefit from it when you optimize around one of the beneficial dancing skills.
      Shuffle opens the video with a hypothesized question of "how do I make a team dance with graverobber?". If you define a dancing team as "a team that focuses on movement" or "a team where some heroes move and can function in two given positions caused by that movement" then you don't really answer that question. Simply having a Graverobber in your party puts a focus on movement in your party means you've focused your team on movement so you're basically saying "in order to make a team dance with Graverobber you must include a Graverobber in your party". Not making the distinction between beneficial dancing skills and neutral or detrimental ones leads to weird things like the GR/Ves/Abom/Hel comp where you can technically dance but you just hurt yourself if you try. The party functions, but it would really be much better if you either ditched the GR and dancing altogether or swapped out Abom for someone who doesn't mind dancing.
      There is no question about "partial vs. complete" dancing here, there was never a question about whether or not the quantity of dancers mattered. It's only about whether you benefit from dancing and the video doesn't really tell you how to make a party that benefits from dancing (at most, it tells you that having dancers in your party makes you tolerate shuffles, which isn't entirely accurate).

    • @OK-sd3lp
      @OK-sd3lp 2 роки тому +1

      @@buttgoblin106 There is a question about partial vs complete dancing. You're just willingly ignoring the proper optimization in favor of your selfmade definition. It's all good. Play the game the way you want. You're still learning and there is no point pushing the discussion further.
      You make a long comment filled with no meaning at all. If you don't see how a partial dancing team can be much more beneficial (aka changing your skills according to the run or even mid run and being able to swap your team around on the fly) than a fix ''fully dancing'' team, I can't help you. You have to learn the game still. There are immobile characters which can work with dancers. Just keep playing, but don't think of yourself as a tryhard too much pls. You're a joke.

    • @buttgoblin106
      @buttgoblin106 2 роки тому +1

      @@OK-sd3lp What on Earth are you talking about? My comment is not discussing the merits of partial dancing vs. complete dancers. It is criticizing the video because it does not adequately explain how a party can benefit from dancing or how you should build a party to benefit from dancing. I am also criticizing its definition of a "dancing party" because what it calls a "dancing party" is not particularly helpful to know about and could lead to a viewer creating parties that do not benefit from or are harmed by dancing.
      If you are trying to refute my criticism of the GR/Ves/Abom/Hel party, then you are missing the point of what I am saying. The party simply loses versatility from dancing: you either let the Abom stay in human form while GR dances and lose all access to his beast abilities, or you Slam and lose his best Beast ability instead. Or you just choose not to dance with GR and waste the point of bringing GR in the first place. No matter what you do, you lose options relative to each hero's basic kit and, more importantly, don't gain anything from doing so. The party would be improved by either ditching GR and her dancing entirely or simply swapping out the Abomination for a class that doesn't mind being moved around a bit, like BH (who can largely fill the same roles as Abom does in this party), or another dancer like Cru if you want an extra Lunge.
