- Deep in the wooded ridges of Western Pennsylvania rest an unlikely site, one that once started a World War. Under the shadow of these rocks, LtCol George Washington would experience his first taste of battle in an encounter that would lead to controversy and outrage. The events of that day is still debated but since then the National Park Service has seen fit to preserve the land of Jumonville Glen so that it's story can be told for generations to come.
