One thing I just realised is that Rika, upon knowing she was going up ‘lose’, didn’t even try to find a better solution. Instantly going to find a ‘miracle’ that would let her power through her problems.
I'm not very far into Umineko to understand the full ins and outs of RIka's power just yet, but I believe her power of miracles grows stronger when more people believe in it, right? Unlike the original Higurashi, Rika's pretty alone in this struggle. It's not as though she's going to rally her friends to help fight against Satoko. But I could be wrong or misunderstanding something about how Rika's power works.
This is really well edited! You should be proud! This is one of my favorite amvs to come out of the new Higurashi series and I hope you'll do more because this was a treat to watch!
this is the best Higurashi AMV I've seen so far, really well made and one of my favorite songs too. Love your work, deserves much more attention. Keep it up 👍🏻 Higurashi best anime btw.
Thank you so much! I thought of pairing this song with Gou partway into season one as it aired, and Sotsu gave me more than enough clips to make it a reality.
I really enjoyed this AMV. Its a nice concept :) the only criticism i have is for some lip sync scenes like 0:58 where the background is going all over the place. For frontal shots like 1:40 u can mask out the mouth to make it work. Side shots are possible with "cleanplating" the mouth area and then reanimating it with masks, but those take more effort. Other then that its nicely done. I like the snapping parts as well as the anime voicelines in the instrumental part of the song!
Thanks a lot for the feedback! I'm unaware how to do masking in Davinci Resolve, which is what I used, so everything here was made with effects and rearrangements of clips.
Explaining masking for Davinici in detail is a bit too much for YT Comments. ^^; But i can try to give u a general idea: You can do it in Fusion with "Merge" nodes. Use Polygon Nodes to draw a masking area and put it as blue arrow into the merge node. Your MediaIn should connect as green arrow (foreground) to the merge node. if u now add a background node as yellow arrow to the merge node, and set the background alpha to 0, u created a mask :D From here on there are multiple ways to keep going. I found it easier to do clean plating in After Effects than in Davinci, but it should be possible with Fusion as well!
the repeat image/clip of the hand works pretty well in this amv. For once before I know the band/song you used for this! I actually prefer the designs in this series to the older deen adaptation. Somehow now that I am older the violence ends up working more uncomfortably.
Shinedown is my favorite (normie) band. They have a lot of meaningful songs, but some of their songs are just bangers with fun lyrics like this one. I think this is one of the only AMV where my love of the song was stronger than my desire to capture/represent the series. Usually there is an even balance. I enjoyed putting in the finger snaps. I wanted to make the final chorus feel like it was exploding with energy too, so I tried to have two different videos playing at the same time. I think the result is chaotic and difficult to follow. I’m not sure if that lends itself to the feeling of the music/energy exploding, or if it’s just disorienting. I agree about the violence, although I think the reason why is a combination that teenagers can be less phased by violence than adults, and the violence of the new anime was generally a lot more extreme than the Deen adaptation.
Not sure if you mean the chandelier or the bus, but for both: Chandelier: Higurashi Gou Episode 21 Bus: Higurashi Gou Episode 22 On a side note, the finger snap between those two cuts is also from Higurashi Gou episode 22. Hope this helps!
The character snaps her fingers to switch into a different timeline. Every time someone dies, she snaps her fingers to swap to a different timeline (to kill them over again).

This is well edited! It also has a focus, unlike a lot of low quality AMVs these days. The song also matches the Anime clips. Perfect!

@@DaMastaAMV Awesome! Thank you very much. I can't afford Adobe/After Effects, so for video-making I'll have to try this out.

All this anime's deaths was with a fingersnap?
The character snaps her fingers to switch into a different timeline. Every time someone dies, she snaps her fingers to swap to a different timeline (to kill them over again).
Super cool but too much hand on the vid that no need to do that
