It's a nice 'Turn off your brain, have some guns and dark setting' fun. The anime has 24-ish episodes split into a few arks, but you cannot say they have any great character development or overarching story (the first 12 episodes seemed to have went a tad bit in that direction, but not a lot, and for the rest of the other 12 you could rearrange groups of them however you wanted and it would still make sense)
2:55 Aren't all this people "regular" humans? or do they poses some kind of superpower in the context of the anime cause what the hell man one thing is to be inhumanly fast/strong for kung fu stuff and another is to chew down metal
you have to take anime for what they are, anime and thus reality can be downplayed sometimes unless they ruin the entire scene. if Roberta didn't chew the machete, she most probably would have slaughtered its wilder (don't remember the name) and believe me when i say she could do so.
@@francescofalla6739 I am not against fantastic things happening in anime I was just wondering if it had context on its own setting, for example if you are familiar with One Punch Man, the main character (saitama) pulls of something similar and a lot even more insane feats while being "human" and so do other characters that suposedly got so strong with martial arts they can topple buildings with their fist alone, I am not against it in fact its awesome, but I find it weird & a bit anoying when they set a a universe with its own rules and break them for no reason (I am not familiar with black lagoon so I do not know if this is common in it) In this case for what I have seen online the machete-biting girl is "human" and does basic anime stuff of shooting and kicking ass at awesome and supernatural levels without like grabing cars or kicking people through multiple building, also there are more people as displayed in this vid that also gun down and kick ass at supernatural levels, yet it didn't strike me like they were bulletproof or could chew down metal Just as a side note this is not against anyone I am just curious about the series and I am familiar with anime and its unrealistic aproach to regular "humans" is awesome
@@proxy90909 It's been a long time since I watched the series, but none of the characters are supposed to have any kind of superpowers, beyond extensive training and experience. The skill of the badasses in the show regularly borders on supernatural, but their feats generally stay just inside of believable. As a regular part of the show, they stretch the limits for impact scenes, like the sword bite (or the boat ramp I believe was in episode 1). I take the sword break as a metaphor for the character's threat level and domination of the confrontation, instead of accepting that she literally bit the sword into splinters - even though I believe the character is on some kind of drug - whereas Saitama literally bites Sonic's sword into pieces.
