I love watching these back like ”oh look thats Taylor Hall, time realy does fly” only to follow it up with ”who’s that kristo guy?
"Nemisz? Who the hell is that?" and "Brian Lashoff was in the WJC?"
As a habs fan, we do know who Kristo is lol. This guy was so much hype up when he was drafted
@@swellersteam8862 I’m a fan of North Dakota where he played college - he was a beast there. It’s a shame his talents never really transferred to the next level.
Best part of this video is listening to all the names
Zibanejads goal with the swedish commentators... Goosebumps!
Chris Sörenstam and Mikael Renberg... fun duo of commentators
The Sweden’s ot goal in 2012 is just epic
That 2011 russian team...breadman, eagleman, tarasenko
was just thinking that holy shit they were stacked
Stacked and skilled team
The main thing I took away from this video is how astounding it is that none of these kids got hurt during their ridiculous cellys
Right!?Pulling a Gino Odjick. Have a look it up, I think it was after a penalty shot.
John Carlson’s overtime winner is by far my favorite. It was the first world junior tournament I watched and being from the USA it got me hooked. I’ve watched almost every world junior game since.
That McDavid goal is insane
I liked how Gord Miller gave the opposition credit in those 2010 and 2011 gold medal games instead of bashing the Canadian kids
Gord’s a lord
Russia comeback 2011 was crazy looking back at the Russian team
Back when no one knew who that Panarin guy was.
@@beckobert true, undrafted i think and when i looked at highlights from that Finals years later realized ohh it was not only Tarasenko,Kuznetsov and Orlov
@@samprase1268 was the best
@@samprase1268 Yeah, the whole undrafted thing is really weird. I mean, he played 5 KHL games at age 18 and was above 0.5 points per game in the KHL in the season that Russia won gold and not not one team thought be might be worth at least a 7th round pick? That's crazy! What were they thinking?
@@beckobert Oh I always thought that he was undrafted because he never declared for the draft
Teräväinen playing as number 20 looks so weird now.
Mika Z is a phenom honestly, he will be up there as one of the leagues best and he will win a cup I’m sure of it
seeing all these young legends is absolutely wild
So many current and former Ranger players scored goals
Kreider, Stepan, Panarin, Trouba, Mika, Duclair, and can’t forget Kakko
I'm watching the game it's the end of the 1st period it's 1-0 USA and I saw Luca on the Canada cameras
Same, but he’s wearing the wrong jersey 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@elialpuche1096 Smh... Gg though. Knight stood on his head all game. Cya next year in the finals eh!
@@jesuschrist6688 gg 🤝 let’s be respectful boys you guys had a great tournament
@@jesuschrist6688 gg
@Vardeep Singh Bhinder oh give it a break u win every year. 😒
That Finnish victory over Sweden was so sweet. It was played in Sweden, their press had been mocking the Finnish team, everyone thought Swedes were gonna win with their "better" team and they had already reserved a place for their victory party.
Facepalm.
Same thing happened in 1995. The Swedes had already planned their party, they’d already gotten their world champion-caps made, etc. In the end Finland even stole their song. Den glider in, den glider in...
obviously they had reserved a place for the victory party, u cant really do that the day before. Im sure the finns also had reserved a place.
Big fan guys great vid
Can't wait to see goals from the '17 final. Best hockey game I ever see
Was nice seeing you on the broadcast Luca!
I never watched a World Juniors game before up until this year and it was a lot of fun to watch! Hope to see some of these young players step up as the newest faces of the NHL!
Funny that Schenn and Tarasenko (rivals in 2011) would become teammates in STL and win a Cup together.
That Zibanejad goal still gives me goosebumps
I can't believe you guys put out this video
As a Swede that Zibanejad goal is definitely my favorite 😄
Never get bored of the Ristolainen goal and also the fact that a half-Finn ended Sweden's drought. Can't wait for Kapanen!
So much happiness yet so much pain in one video
Post the 1999-2009 ones!
Yall should watch the Sweden game with the Swedish commentary! When they win they get so happy it is amazing
i saw you on the cams yesterday luca!!
Epic videos
Feels so weird seeing a crowd in the stands.
The 2018 World Juniors with Hey Baby as the goal song and Tyler Steenburgen game-winner against Sweden will always be the best.
Best game ever i my memory is actually 2013 quarterfinal RUS - CAN. Canada worked a 6-1 deficit to 6-5 under 5 minutes in the 3rd period. And then Ryan Strome was a post from tying the game in the last minute. Insane game!
John Carlson plays for my favorite team and my home country, my favorite is that absolute snipe for the gold
Crazy hearing some of the names back then.
I was that game in 2010. When Eberle scored to tie it up you couldn't hear yourself think. Then when Carlson scored in OT you could hear a pin drop in that rink
Mika and Artemi making plays almost 10 years ago. And now together on the Rangers!!!!
That Russia come back from a 3 - zip hole was incredible. Storm Canada for 5 goals in a row! Momentum is huge in sports.
Sweden Russia is the hardest game I've ever lived through. As a Swede it was so hard to watch since we usually fall apart in the finale stages, knowing that we failed in so many goldmedal games and we had 50+ SHOTS IN THE GAME and not really was there good signs as Kuznetsov & co just gott better and better during the game. That save on Kuz & Gusev with 38 seconds left in the 3rd is still like an electric shook. And the ending, probably the best ending in any sport in Ot on a breakaway. I have never gone crazy while watching a game on Tv but that morning I did!
13:55 "Blyaaat"
Finland playing ABBA after beating Sweden is real nasty lmao
They don't have their own music to play.
21:59, Brayden Point to Nick Paul for a goal. 7 years later both would end up in Tampa facing the leafs in a first round series, down 3-2 Point would be the hero of game 6 with an overtime winner and Paul would score twice in a 2-1 game 7 win. That’s kind of neat.
Amazing seeing how skinny and small these kids are and then 5-10 years later they’re rock solid men playing.
In the 2014 wjc it felt like the Finnish team was full of nobodies. Now when I look back at the team they had several NHL stars and/or regulars like Teräväinen, Lindell, Ristolainen, Saros and Lehkonen. Not too shabby after all.
Rasmus Ristolainen with the golden goal. Finland beating Sweden, in Sweden and in overtime was a great experience as a Finn.
The goal horn for Russia vs Canada sounded like a bomb alarm
Assuming you mean 2011, I loved that system and wish that more arenas used it... goal horn for one team, goal siren for the other
CANADA GAME ONE HOUR BOYS
Edit: GG USA.
Let's go USA :)
@@jefcoble8827 oh Canada we will stomp you
@@Zach__tendy go USA
@@Zach__tendy 1-0
@@jefcoble8827 yessir
John Carlson’s goal was my favorite because it arguably made what USA Hockey is today.
You better go live before the game
Gord Miller: SCORES!!! SCORES!!! SCORE!!! SCORE!!!
in overtime
Let us have part 2
I’m Finnish so obviously my fav was the Rasmus Ristolainen goal v Sweden
6:52 sick reference bro
See you on the tv
Hell yeah
that first game overtime goal is like the connor mcdavid no look goal but on the other side
Mcdavid looks so slow back then and he's still blowing past everyone lol just shows how insane his speed has become
It’s currently the end of the second period, and the USA is up 2-0. Please let’s Canada come back and win!
Edit: USA won. 😭
I'm pissed, I made pizza and nachos just to see them lose...
@@ZeeThreeSixtee isn’t that just a normal night for a North American
@@samfred9861 yeah lmao
this video REALLY didn't need to be this long
I’m watching the world juniors and I saw Luca on the zoom call thingy
When Eberle scores 2 in a row to tie the game “he’s done it again” holy lord imagine a hat trick in OT
The crowd is so loud in that first game
Then they got really quiet
Saskatoon is like that
who saw sad Luca during tsn feed showing Canadian fans xDDDD
that kuznetsov pass.....holy shit
That 2011 Russian team is nasty
they should do a bronze version
Luca are you in the bubble with corwin?
And the decade ends how it began
15:01 love how half the crowd is in Canada Jerseys and yet they all cheering for Sweden! talk about being salty towards Russia!
11:48 Please tell me that wasn't Pierre making that WEE noise. Listen closely.
Of course Luca picks the guy that he looks like as his favourite Goal lol
I’m sorry but
A makeshift 4th line with Bradyen point
He was protected to be so much less than he became
panarin, kuznetskov, tarasenko, jeez that russia team was good
How ya doing bud? I saw that sad look you had on the TSN broadcast. USA USA USA
America, America, god shed his grave on theeeeeeee!!!
GOLD MEDAL BOYS. WE WON.
Crowd hockey > No crowd hockey
Zibanejad om overtime holy shit
Also Mika's OT winner - A Biased Rangers Fan
Finland wins gold in Overtime only. Best way to celebrate.
All I could think about was how tiny now-NHL guys used to be.
13:36 I thought Russian were bears on uni cycles but apparently they are screaming goats instead :D
USA taking it this year
Pumped. 🥚
Hi
Was that you I saw when they showed the fans from home?! Bottom left corner.
rip canada 2021
Who's here after Team USA won the Gold medal?? 🥇🇺🇲😁
Too bad you didn't include the "Canada is not Finland" part.
I hope Canada wins this year (2021)
Alll of these games is just Canada getting flamed
John Carlson scoring to deny Canada a 6th straight gold medal.
USA! USA! USA!!!!!
No wonder this video is 30 minutes long when you get to see all the goals 18 times each... 😴
Let’s go canada
Yo
Where was 2016 FIN - RUS ???
Let’s go first
nope
So, as far as I know, North Americans generally don't care that much about the IIHF world championships, but apparently they are quite into the junior championships. Why's that? I've been told that the reason North Americans aren't that into the adults' championships is that it's every year, unlike the olympics, which is only once in four years. But The WJC is also every year.
Because it takes place during the Stanley cup playoffs. A lot of good players can't even go. Also the teams are assembled quickly so north American teams have barely any time to practice together. That's why only European s care about it more while we're more focused on the playoffs
