The Galaxy watch is a no go if you want to track workouts without your phone. The GPS antenna is very inaccurate on the GW. One of the worst tested of all the big smart watches out there.

I own the Galaxy watch ultra and ordered the 7 44mm yesterday. Got it for a 100 bucks after trading in an Galaxy watch 4 classic that I picked up brand new for 50 bucks. I'll take it and trade it in next year and keep ultra. I want a pixel watch but their trade in program sucks and Samsung nails it year after year.

I had the Galaxy Watch 4 and Samsung offered $175 for trade in and an extra band and was able to tack on corporate discounts and it had a $50 preorder reserve promo code so it was a no brainer. I think Google offered like $130 and the cost of the Pixel Watch 3 was way more expensive at $399 with no corporate discounts available.
If you have google fi for your phone carrier you can get the pixel watch 3 either size for free if you keep the service for 24 months. This promotion is good until January 7, 2025

I currently have a Galaxy Watch Ultra and a Galaxy Watch 7 (which I wear for sleep or just going out) Samsung, do great trade-in offers so you can upgrade when the new watches launch if you like. Pixel watch has way way better accuracy regarding heartrate and sleep tracking, but the Galaxy Watches are still good. If you are in the Samsung ecosystem, then Galaxy Watch 7 or Ultra is best. If you have a Pixel phone, then Pixel watch is best. Both hold back features that can only be used when paired with the same make phone.
Had to return my Galaxy watch 7 and replaced it with the Pixel watch 3. Samsung watch 7 is highly inaccurate as compared to Apple watch or even the Pixel watch 3
Do all the software updates, only use important notifications, auto screen brightness, turn off always on display. Conserve your energy, don't work out too much 😁

Measuring the heart rate on the Pixel Watch is very accurate. I doubt the Galaxy can compete with that.

Dont forget that some of the pixel watches fitness stuff is not free.

Fitness accuracy on the galaxy is poor compared to the pixel watch 3 and sleep tracking is better on the pixel watch

because you got the LTE version i guess, for bluetooth version it's around 3 days
Wished my pw3 45mm had the same battery as my gw7 44mm. 3-4 with everything on on gw7, 2ish days on pw3 without gps on
